“Rail had dents in the wood and screws for fitting brackets to the wall are made of such soft metal the heads strip.”

“Quality of components was good, but disappointment that only one of my two handrails was supplied. After email complaint the missing component was shipped. Surprised to see no fixing instructions, but managed to work it out. Geoff Gaskill”

“Nice product but for £160 would expect better service! Order took 13 working days in total to arrive and not the advertised 3 to 8. You have to download a 3rd party app if you want to track the order but it is quite useless. The app notified me that the order had been dispatched (no direct text/email from Simple Handrails) but provided no tracking info or expected delivery time. 5 days later, I contacted SH considering the warehouse is only a 2 hour drive away as the order had still not arrived. Apparently the order had not actually been dispatched and wasn't even in stock!! 5 days later I received a call at work from a delivery driver who could not locate my address - luckily my partner was at home to receive the delivery but how can customers make sure that someone is at home to receive a 3 metre piece of wood if there is no tracking information??! Where would it have been dumped if no-one was in? To add insult to injury, the driver had apparently tried to deliver the day before and marked the delivery attempt as 'address does not exist'!! Would not recommend.”

“Placed an order on 22 04 2021 Half the order arrived very prompt the other half went missing .contacted simplehand rails they said would resend got conformation on 07 05 2021 would receive it via DHL on 10 05 2021 still not received it parcel has gone missing again still trying to get half my order 19 days later.”

Hi Gary, Thank you for your review. This is really gutting purely because all tracking was emailed to you as you placed the order. The customer obviously hasn't had anything to do with the items. Following on from our email correspondence we will withhold the delivery of the glass until we can sort a delivery date with you customer and yourself as we really don't want the negative reaction to the products that we supply. “Still waiting for the glass to arrive,have chased it up but not had a reply yet. No one answering the phones and live chat is sporadic in answering. Maybe I’ll leave a better review when the full order is fulfilled.”

Hi Catherine, Your only on your 4th clear working day since ordering. Your glass is custom made to your bespoke requirements and is due to delivery Wednesday which is your 7th working day. “I choose to order from SimpleHandrails as I like the finish on the rails and the time indicated for delivery. Unfortunately the handrail I ordered was delayed. I was not informed a this delay until I enquired why it had not been delivered as expected. The result of this was unable to return home as I had a fractured arm and using the stairs was unsafe. For this reason I requested that the order be cancelled.”

“The driver only delivered half the order in that he delivered the box of brackets and rail ends but no handrail. The box that was delivered was missing all the screws. The handrail arrived the next day and I'm still waiting for the brass screws.”

“Disappointed with fixing brackets and screws. Not like photos and screws too long for attaching to handrail. Also rawlplugs too small. All rectifiable but the point is I had to go out and buy new screws and plugs. ☹️☹️”

Hi Alan, Please watch the below video. The screws are bigger then the plug but they are suitable. You drill the hole to the depth of the screw not the plug. I hope this helps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrVr6KbTNac&feature=emb_logo

“the prices are good but as yet we have not been able to install the balustrade since one of the glass panels is missing, hoping to hear soon about when it will be delivered but have heard nothing as yet. I'm sure I will love it once it's all installed”

“The delivery was left outside at the front of my property with no one at home (tuffnells), Luckily it was not stolen. On opening the parcels I found 2x 3 metre lengths as intended But both were quite bowed and the colour / pattern was very different between the 2. (walnut) . The joining piece and the end pieces are a loose fit on the plastic inserts so much that they fall off under their own weight . all in all pretty bad .”

“We ordered two oak handrails in September on the website that stated 3 to 9 days delivery. After two weeks without any contact I emailed them, they responded by telling me that they had had a sub standard delivery off oak which was delaying the order but it would be dispatched the following week. At the end of the following week I received an email telling me that my order had been delivered, it had not. After sending them an email asking them to cancel the order and refund the money as it was now 23 days since we had placed it the delivery suddenly appeared out of the blue a few days later. We had not received any notification of this delivery and it was just pure chance that someone was in to receive it Its not like you can leave a 4 metre handrail anywhere safely. The communication with this company was non existent”
