“Ordered 2x2m oak and brass handrails. Arrived on time but contents do not match images - images I have realised too late, show a finished handrail (stained or varnished) description states unfinished - result now having to treat handrails before use. To the company - don’t show finished products - show what we are getting - very misleading.”

Hi Antony, Thank you for your reply. This really is a poor review to read as it paints SimpleHandrails.co.uk in a deceitful way. The photos of your rail do not have any finish on them and the description of the product also states unfinished. There are many different options for finishing the handrails and we can't satisfy everyone with their own tastes. We have tried to reach out to you to sort this issue and you have also declined. “I was really surprised by the colour of the rail when I opened the package as it looks nothing like the photo at all. I didn’t expect to need to buy a coating and have to paint it on so this has added cost and delay. Everything else, delivery, wood and fixing quality etc looks really good.”

“What a find! Simple to use order system, prompt delivery and quality products. Would have been 5 stars if the screws to attach the handrail to the handrail supports had been included.”

“The kit was of very good quality. However, the arm on the bracket and the plate that secures the handrail both swivel making them difficult to handle. The end caps are push fitted to a plastic bush which is screwed into the end of the rail. This bush must be centred exactly for a neat fit but there is no template to enable the centre of the rail to be located.”

“The hand rail arrived in 7 days as expected. After unpacking the rail looks great complete with fixing brackets plugs and screws. Unfortunately the screws are too big to go through the fixing brackets so I will have to wait until I can purchase some screws before I can fix the rail in place”

“I received the stairs rails within days which was very quick. The rails are strong, providing good support, and they look very smart. When I came to fit the two stair rails there were no instructors or any guidance for fitting them. There was also no guidance or instructions for the Upgraded Bracket- Premium Rail, I had to looked at photos on the website to copy the same length of this bracket against the rail. Simple Handrails supplied a rail to me which they produced to my requested size free of charge which I was grateful. Overall happy with the product and I would use this company again.”

“Simple Handrails couldn’t have been more helpful. They helped design my simple hand rail and it was delivered quickly. There were no issues with swapping one component which didn’t quite work as intended. And it was a good price too !”

“Parts supplied were of good quality and delivered in good time and well packed to protect them despite carrier damaging packing tubes. Fixing screws supplied were absolutely useless so had to buy my own. Maybe some installation instructions would help?”

Hi Catherine, Your only on your 4th clear working day since ordering. Your glass is custom made to your bespoke requirements and is due to delivery Wednesday which is your 7th working day. “I cannot recommend the guys at Simplehandrails highly enough. I needed a handrail urgently in preparation for my father coming home from hospital. I jumped on the live chat on Monday morning and explained my circumstances and the guys went out of there way to have it to me the following day. I offered to pay extra for the delivery but was told that under no circumstances would they accept any money and they would ensure it would be with me in time. By Tuesday lunchtime the rail had arrived and it’s now up - 72 hours from order!! You have made a stressful time so much easier for my family. Oh, and I should also say that the handrail is fantastic and exactly what I was looking for at an extremely competitive price. Thank you simplehandrails.co.uk”

“Afraid I can't write a review becasue the consignment hasn't yet been delivered. Your carrier Tufnells seem to have mislaid the package at their Felling depot, so despite waiting in all day yesterday I still have no handrail....... Not helped by the tracking site saying the package had been delivered!”
