I never use this company again. Their nominated charge charged me about £1700 for the service and additional work but when the car was delivered to me there was not a drop of engine oil in it. Their system of not “telephone contact” is preventing you to get anywhere with them. Their Email system is very confusing and useless. It should be avoided. A. Jahanbakhsh

Horrendous company. Please avoid! I booked my car in with servicing stop over the internet last week. They came as arranged to collect the car at 10 am on Thursday promising to return the car between 4and 6pm. I had a missed cal from them at 2.30pm. Tried over 15 times ti get through with no success. No idea why they we are ringing as they didn’t leave a message. 6 pm came and went. No car. I rang to find out where my car was to find the call centre closed. No out of hours number or voicemail facility. I emailed demanding the know where my car was. Received an autoresponse stating that they aim to get back to you within 48hours. No good!! At 6.47pm I received an email from someone called Jason stating I had declined to have my brake fluid replaced. I had done no such thing. The email stated that I needed to pay £98 to have my car released. What good is an email after I can’t contact them? I had no choice but wait till morning. In tej meantime I googled reviews ti find servicing stop has featured on Rip off Britain and watchdog. Check it out! In the morning I rang to be told they had ‘ run out of drivers’ the previous evening and would I be returning my car today By this time I was late for work and stressed thinking my car had been stolen. Luckily they didn’t mention the £98. I was furious that no one had let me know what was going on. They returned my car shortly afterwards. No apology. No acknowledgement of any wrong doing. I was furious that they kept my car overnight with no warning. I was late for work too. Luckily there seems to be no harm done which I’m grateful for. After reading reviews it appears that the brake fluid quote is a scam they try often. £98 is almost double what it actually costs for such work too. I was never going to pay it anyway. Please don’t use this company they are con artists.

…SCAM COMPANY On the 26th February had a Full service done on my car that's what I thought. Had a phone call to say everything went well but had a few advisory's. Paid extra to get them fixed. I had a mechanic look at my car today and the extra's weren't done but I paid for them. The annoying thing is that you cannot speak to anyone on the phone. Had to make a complaint but a reply take 5-7 days. I will never use Service Stop ever again. Booking Ref: 1641874 one star is too much

Really don’t bother booking through these people. In all fairness the picking up of the car was prompt and friendly, same as the return but that’s the only positive. Received a phone call from an 020 number in the afternoon and was told by a friendly sounding guy I needed extra work doing. He rattled off a few sums quickly and said I would need to pay an extra £450. Told him I couldn’t afford it and not to bother . Then I pressured into believing the brake fluid needed doing and that would only be £165 and I could pay in instalments. I agreed and he said he would put me on hold and send me a link and I should fill out the form. While I waited I googled how much to replace brake fluid and reputable firms charge £49.99. He then came back and said he would watch online while I filled the form out. I told him just to bring my car back as I didn’t want it doing and he just hung up on me. I tried ringing back , nothing , rang the mobile number they called me on to confirm car collection and got their call centre . Luckily I paid upfront so the name of the garage was on that. I called them and they said car was fine and they would be returning it at the agreed time, no works needed. This company is all about the hard sell, conning you into paying for work that isn’t necessary or actually done to your car. They can hold your car to ransom and bully you into paying more . Give them a wide berth

My car booked in for service and MOT. Was phoned and told I needed £800 of additional work. I refused to have the brakes done but did pay for other stuff. I am not convinced work was done. I was over charged. I was told that if I wanted the car back that day I needed to post a positive review. When car was returned MOT certificate didn't mention the brakes as an advisory issue so clearly I do not need new brakes. The garage had over inflated my tyres so the tyre pressure warning light was on. It has left a bad taste in my mouth. Wish I had looked at reviews first. Only used them because I needed my MOT urgently

MY SAGA of not checking the reviews before ordering things!!!!!!!!!! Now I live in a small rural village Near Kettering Northamptonshire and since my car, a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is no longer covered by Local Garages, I googled "Local PHEV Servicing Garages". Google suggested I try Servicing Stop as a Booking Firm. Their Website requested my Car Registration Number and correctly identified my make and model being an EV. They Quoted for both Interim and Full Service and as an extra option also a MOT. I opted for the Full Package of Service with MOT and being a disabled pensioner was pleased to accept that the "Local Garage" would arrange collection and delivery on the agreed day. Now here is the first problem. The Garage that does the work is not disclosed until after you pay and a confirmation email sent. The allocated garage for mine was in RUGBY Leicestershire. 50 miles away! Not exactly local! But the booking firm state in the small print that any cancellation will result in a charge? So the CATCH is as follows. The Booking Firm takes the money. The allocated garage puts the car on the ramp and does some quick checks to fill in the Tick Boxes in accordance with the "Interim or FULL service agreement. There is a clause that states there could be additional charges for "Special Oil" (low ash would be regarded as special). The garage will then continue to do the MOT test if that is required? Once the exercise has been completed by the Garage they send the results off to the Booking Firm. The Booking Firm then get High Pressure Sales to ring the MARK (that's you) and nicely tell you that you car has/has not passed the MOT however "as per the contract" there are extra charges, ALWAYS because of the oil clause. Now for the clever bit, "we also have some ADVISORY notices that we recommend be done now whilst the car is in the workshop"! These will be worded carefully according to the well used script. In my case "a car of this age should have 1) brake fluid replaced. 2) anti freeze replaced 3) a full engine flush etc, plus any other options they can think up. Now comes the RANSOM bit! Depending on how you hold out they send an email with a payment link to pay for the extras, and there are always at least one extra because of the oil! The link includes a short warning that any delay in payment may affect the timed return of the car (held until the funds are in their account). Back to me having refused all but the "special oil" I waited the return of my car between the agreed CONTRACT time of 4 - 6PM. And waited, and waited etc. By 7:30 I was in a panic as none of the contact numbers were answering. Now the mind goes into every option case from they have crashed and burned on the M1 to it is already dismantled and shipped out. Time to act with a few chosen words to every web site and email address that was available and no they were not complements. So with the new day comes the call from the Booking Firm manager explaining how there was no excuse why the Service Garage had failed to return the car last night and he would get it returned ASAP now. Well 13:20 hrs it arrives. "Nothing to do with me mate I am only a contract driver they called me today" I restrain myself and enquire "have they reset the service light and stamped the book?" Yes all done! I check the dip stick and comment that whilst the level is correct I have no way of checking the quality? All other fluids are where they should be but then again they were before it went anyway. I check my car computer which confirms the collection and delivery mileage and also that 3 gallons of fuel has been consumed. Further checks of the on board computer show that whilst the Service Warning Light has been reset none of the other settings have been reprogrammed. My Dashboard Display keeps telling me that a Service will be required in 400 miles!!!! The paperwork required for my Service History consists of a Tatty Photocopy of an MOT certificate and some emailed PDF files listing the car as a Petrol Outlander and no mention of any EV checks or testing? Gutted.

I booked my car service online and the car was picked up by a friendly mechanic at about 8 . Everything was going as planned, then around 130 I recieved a call stating my car need additional extras . I was then told my car needs new anti freeze and they found a contamination in my brake fluid also I need a need fuel pump . After driving and getting my car serviced every year I thought this seemed odd . Then the shock came for all these minor things they wanted £887 for the works . I stated all I wanted was a service priced at £136 then I was told I should get £650 pounds worth of work done . I stated I wasn't willing to pay theae costs , and I was told there is a payment plan they can set up for this . I had a really bad feeling and said no thank you .After the call I received texts for £650 to pay in instalments for the works that I declined . I was trying to call the number they called me on, and it was constantly engaged and also sent a email to customer services with no reply . The mechanic that took my car left his sign written van on the drive , so I decided to give the number a call . I called and stated who I was and that they had my vehicle and I wasn't happy for them to carry out any works . The mechanic seemed very confused saying that the car only needed a service and there was nothing wrong with the car and the bits they are are mentioning are new problems he does not know about . Feeling annoyed and partly happy I didn't just pay I awaited a call from service stop . 5 Minutes after speaking to the mechanic they call . I stated I didn't want the work they mentioned doing and wasn't happy with the service there providing me with .I was then cut short by the guy as he stated he sent me a payment to pay for the service assuming the costs where going to be £136 we ended to call so I could pay and get this shambles of a company outta my hair . I opened the invoice and then noticed its now gone to £220 a huge jump from the initial price . I payed this and within the hour my car was delivered back to me . Absolute scamming assholes . please people don't use these your regret every minuite .😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Firstly my service and MOT was delayed by 3 days, informed on day it was due to be collected. Then car was collected very late midday in fact. Then car garage would not release car until service stop had paid them, with them adding on a hidden fee at the end even though I had paid in advance. To top it all off, by the time I had actually managed to get ahold of customer services, the garage had closed leaving me with no car to get to work. I''ve never been so angry with a service in my life. DO NOT use this company.

"Terrible Service" - Booked with Servicing stop for a full service on my Mini Countryman …paid up front. It was picked in the morning (late) and I was informed it would be delivered back between 4and 6pm Had a call from the Garage in the day saying they recommend works to the car - brake fluid replaced, wipers changed and auxiliary belt change - When he told me the cost was an additional £550+ vat. I said NO He then said I needed to pay an additional £30 for oil which Servicing Stop confirmed was included!! As he had the car I paid it anyway - but by 8:40pm that evening and still no car - Garage was closed and my Wife needed her car for Physio in the morning At no point did anyone say they needed the car overnight!!! If they did I wouldn’t have given them the key.... Had to go to Garage and retrieve car next day, Garage blamed Servicing Stop and told me I had no contract with them... 'Unbelievable' - Car still had servicing light on and not sure that they had done anything to it at all except get the drivers seat filthy!! Dreadful experience - Don't book through Servicing Stop

Awful "service" I was quoted £650 for work needing doing on the car - I refused the work because I wanted to check elsewhere - Car was then returned not 30 minutes later with a flat tyre - the car looked as though it had been completely untouched! When I complained about the flat tyre upon it'a return i was told that "puncture's can occur at any time, and the garage cannot claim responsibility" They offer cheap "services" for a reason folks. You get what you pay for - spend the extra money and go somewhere that'll do the job - I certainly will be

Would give zero stars if possible. Booked for a service the following day, took my payment then called immediately to put the booking back a week, day before this someone called once on a number we couldn't ring back on (despite numerous attempts) and then morning of rearranged booking got a call to say it wasn't happening. Said it was because we didn't confirm the day before but we didn't know we had to and they admitted they were having a problem with their calling app. Asked for a refund so we could book elsewhere and was told it would be up to ten working days and there was no one I could speak to about this or raise an official complaint with - just got told to use the chat function on the website! Terrible service.

Scam. Do yourself a favour and type ‘BBC watchdog Servicing Stop’ into Google. I’ll be reporting them to trading standards. Was quoted almost £1000 for work which just didn’t feel right. So I called another two garages and they both took me through the work and said it was £2-£300. (*You can view your MOT results in real time yourself by googling ‘DVLA check my MOT’). So I rejected the work. I was then called by the garage Servicing Stop had sent it to and told that Servicing Stop inflate the prices for commission. The garage offered a new quote direct with them instead for £££s less. I still rejected it because clearly I couldn’t trust either of them by that point. Asked them to return my car and booked in with a different garage myself, with an honest quote. As if that wasn’t bad enough I was assured by Servicing Stop that my car would be back by 6pm Friday - it never showed up! No call - and no way to contact anyone. Their offices are Mon-Fri only. Waited in all night and spent frantic morning trying to see where it was as I desperately needed it that morning. The garage they used has awful reviews. Servicing Stop took zero responsibility - they don’t organise the pick ups etc, garages do - and from what their rep told me their only role seems to be booking you in. NEVER AGAIN. Feel utterly scammed. They also add hidden but ‘compulsory’ fees, so it’s really not just £125 - mine was closer to £200 with ‘special oil’… Live and learn - I’ll be booking my own MOT from now on with a good local garage and save myself the stress and extra expense.

Avoid this Company like the plague. Absolute rip of merchants, would have been far cheaper to take my BMW 530D to the main dealer. I'm sure much of the work they claimed needed doing didn't. £192 to change brake fluid £172 to change anti freeze £240 to change fuel filter etc. Whole thing looks like a scam.

Late picking up, then my car went on a lovely jolly to Clacton and Jaywick while garage was located near Colchester. The route home went past my place and to stansted then back to mine. Had car looked over by an independent and they said oil hadn’t been changed, break fluid not changed and no air filter. Bunch of bloody con men and they are still operating , I couldn’t get away with the bull shut in my job like that and it beggars belief they are still operating . No recourse, no refund, no communication since . DO NOT USE

Service Stop knowingly overcharged me for work not carried out. They are a shambles. It’s almost impossible to actually speak to a ‘human’ about any issues and when you call their number you get no option to speak with someone. DO NOT ALLOW SERVICE STOP TO PLAY WITH YOUR VEHICLE! They are the lowest of the low and charge extortionate fees, their workmanship is poor and they have the moral compass of a stoat!

I've got a 2.0 A1 competition 4.0. I put it in for a full service and MOT. It was driving absolutely fine and had no engine lights or errors on it prior to going into the garage. I've just been invoiced this: REMOVE & REFIT : WINDSCREEN WIPER - BLADE/S (MOT FAIL) £145.00 RENEW : BRAKE FLUID (SERVICE ADVISORY) £140.00 INVESTIGATE : ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT (SERVICE ADVISORY) £265.00 REMOVE & REFIT : SHOCK ABSORBER/DAMPER (ONE) (REAR SUSP.) LEFT (MOT FAIL) £667.88 PERFORM : LIFETIME FUEL TREATMENT AND ENGINE FLUSH (SERVICE ADVISORY) £135.00 when a driver brought the car back from the garage where the work was actually done he had no idea about all these charges

Avoid. LIke. The. Plague. If there was an option for zero stars, that's what they would get. I booked in my car. They collected it and drove it 50 miles away then claimed it needed £2000 worth of work to pass its MOT and I needed to pay before the car would be returned. I paid - under protest - on time and the car was not returned when agreed, but 24 hours later. It was clear that work they claimed had been done had NOT been done, and the engine light was still lit on the dash. I managed to get a pittance refund, about 10% of the total cost after a long battle. Just go somewhere else! To add insult to injury, one of our car mats was missing when the car was returned.
