I gave a 3 because your lack of hinged frames is not good. I cannot wear either of the frames a recurved from this firm as they keep falling off. I am no impressed

Having had a good pair of glasses from yourselves , I was unable to let complete the guarantee to the makers of the lenses .

Very sorry to say but I did not think the usual care was taken over my prescription this time. I had to return to ask for it to be altered and so buy new glasses. Bruce Keeble

Still trying to get glasses to fit correctly. They are crooked. The Optician is swapping frames?? No phone call yet. All young and inexperienced. I am still hopeful.

The staff at Scrivens were amazing today! They made me feel at ease during my eye test and explained everything to me. I felt relaxed and able to ask questions. The member of staff who carried out the hearing test was so personable and easy to talk to. When choosing spectacles, he talked me through a wide range of options and was not at all pushy. He made me feel that he really did want to help and talked me through the price scale to enable me to find what was right for me. I would not hesitate to recommend Scrivens in Fishponds for either eye or hearing tests to anyone I know.

Very expensive glasses.mother was charged £280 for 1 pair of glasses.

We have always gone to Scrivens, as a family and been pleased with the service; however recently we have noticed that the prices are much higher than other reputable opticians. As a result different members of the family have begun to source their optical services elsewhere. I continued to use Scrivens as I was happy there - however many of the staff who used to work at my local branch appear to have moved on and I don't feel the same sense of loyalty to the new team, having recently used their service.

People in store/reception lovely,knowledgable,helped me find glasses that fit my face/I liked, optician seemed to have a stick lodged somewhere it shouldn't be, felt like during my eye exam i was putting him out trying to rush through test to get done quicker, sat in room for ages after as he typed up the results then after 5 minutes rang a buzzer to call in people from out side to take me out to main shop. (not sure why it was needed for me to just sit in room in silence as he filled information on computer??)

I purchased my glasses in December 2018 & have had to return them to the store on several occasions. This was due to errors making my lenses. I felt nervous returning to the store as it made me feel that I was questioning the staff's ability to do their job.

Usually v good service etc but this time they put my reading lenses in my main variable frames and the main lenses in reading frames have had to return them. Have to wait at least a further 2 weeks to be replaced

Hearing test carried out on 6th March no complaints but I was told I'd receive follow-up call that's not happened and hearing aids don't fit well with glasses!

The branch manger was helpful at the start with new glasses as he was getting a big sale, but as i had problems with the glasses and i was given a 30 day money back grantee on the glasses i went back within this time scale, the after care and requesting a refund which the branch manger really did not want to give for the said glasses, it was shocking and upsetting as i felt the branch manger was really not helpful or caring when i went back to pick up a pair of glasses he could not look at me when he spoke and he never even asked how the glasses felt just asked if i could read ok. very disappointing and upsetting considering i am a long term customer

Service was ok and polite. I did feel pressured to buy glasses and was not told that the price was per lense. I was told if a refer a friend that i would be sent a £25 gift voucher, they took me details and my friend had an appointment 2 hours after me. I have not received the voucher. I probably will not use the optician again.

The staff at Witney store were helpful and keen to help. When I purchased the new specs I was told I would get a £25 voucher but as of yet have not received it. If you are offering offers then they should be followed up with the customer. In all it was an average service.

Had to wait two weeks for the glasses and when I received them they were bent so had to be returned and waited a further week. Staff were very pleasant though.
