"Over the last 3 years, 4 items that have been sent to me have never arrived. About one third of books ordered from amazon don't arrive; and two parcels of medication, one from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and one from a private seller, have also not arrived. I think it's truly appalling."
"This is regarding the Royal Mail shop on their website. I have purchased three times with them over the last year and each time I have received at least one wrong item. The last one was an item that was the wrong price and they do not even honour the price as displayed. I am disabled and have to use two buses to get to the post office so each time I receive a return envelope I have to struggle to the Post Office to get proof of posting. If you want something DO NOT use the website as the are all idiots who can't read basic codes!!!"
"It is more than 2 months i am waiting for a parcel to come to South Africa and it is not arriving. Tracking it i get the message "the item is now leaving UK" and it is at least 2 months it says so. I try to contact them and they tell me it is the sender who should claim it, I contact the sender and they tell me i have to contact the local office to find out where is the parcel and I cant find a local office phone number for South Africa.
A friend of mine send me a wedding gift few months ago with Royal Mail and it has not arrived... she send me a second one with alternative way...

So... It was all set to be redilered, and then it went back to fee to pay at the last minute.
Tried phoning the DO @ 13.00, to be told it was closed...
Web site and card clearly say it's open until 14.00.
This is after a series of 'not attempting to deliver', and receiving 'Something for you' cards.

"I work for a small business that depends on Royal Mail and they let us down frequently to the point where there new shipping service went down for days in July which meant that we could not dispatch our orders. On top of this they regularly deliver mail late and the customer service you get is rubbish, they might as well say we don't care and there's nothing you can do about it. Thoroughly fed up with them and recommend that if you're a customer ordering something off a website don't use the Royal Mail option as their service is abysmal and when it goes wrong they don't care. "They are a bunch of rats! I have lost my item for 3 times, and no one seems to care. The customer service is rubbish. They didn't really about where did it go. I have sent a £300 clothes one time, I found it wasn't successfully delivered at the day it supposed to be delivered, and the status says returned to sender. I called it the day after, the customer service guy says that they will find it and send it back to me. But it never came. I think all my lost items are probably goes to Royal Mail stuff's pocket. Merry Christmas rats!!!"
"Lost 2 packages. Shipping from London to Canada “tracked and insured” disappeared as soon as it entered the sorting facility. Customer service was really good at copying and pasting the apology email following my inquiry (which surprisingly took longer than website stated to get back to me) but otherwise completely and totally useless.
Never use Royal Mail. Period. Scammers
On a different note, getting a job with them would be awesome because you don’t have to do your job to collect a paycheck."
"This is simply not a service. It is a disgusting sham.
They have even taken to using sites like Trustpilot to leave fake , five star reviews about themselves.
Most of the postmen are fine.
Until it comes to you being out or unable To answer the door due to disability.
Then, nine times out of 10, they will simply not take your mail around to a neighbours house. They take it back to the sorting office and then the headache begins.
You have to specify a certain date when you will be by the door and able to have your parcel redelivered. This is not always convenient and you can’t always answer the door due to disability.
This inconvenience is irksome as you can’t always predict and be there on that date, for various reasons. PerHaps it is that you are at work or perhaps like me, it is that you are disabled and cannot always predict when you are and are not able to answer the door that day.
You can always get your parcel redelivered to a local post office, which sounds fine in theory. However, if you are unable to actually get to that post office due to disability.
The result being : There is no way you can properly use this service. It is a huge headache.
They also have the cheek to charge you around about 70p for each parcel to be sent to your post office.
As if their mail charges werent already astronomical. Unbelievable, in this day and age, when they’ve got to compete with lots of other couriers.
And the Internet.
There is no good writing to head office, customer services, or managers of Royal Mail. because you are met with a rude response, or they promise to do something and absolutely never do.
I have been in this boat at least 10 to 12 times now, so I think I know what’s what.
They also tried to trick the public by leaving concerned comments on complaint reviews online, saying they will do something if you contact them. Whereas in reality, when you do contact them, they do absolutely nothing about it and you are basically dumped and ignored.
It is difficult to know where to go, , in an age when they seem to dominate the main mail market.
So I suppose we will just continue to have to pay through the nose for their service and then put up with the rubbish that we are delivered."
"Royal Fail staff have been interfering with my mail for 2 years now; my banks have confirmed this in writing numerous times. Royal Fail refuses to do anything and simply denies it. Since I complained, I have been persistently harassed and victimised by the postman. Have had to report him to the police and install cctv around my home. Instead of addressing the matter, Royal Fail continues to allow it to escalate and even claims I have not really lodged a case of harassment with the police. Royal Fail's handling of this matter has been egregious."

Then why not email the tracking number to the customers? I even receive the online receipt from Next if I buy a bloody shirt. What the hell is wrong with the Royal Mail?? Why you can't be customer friendly?"
"I tried to use Click and Drop online. It said the transaction had failed and that no payment was taken. Payment was taken. I phoned the Click and Drop customer services, which was closed (it was only 5.20pm). Now I have no label for my parcel and the money was from a small Ebay sale, so I don't have enough left to pay for the postage again. I also have no reference numbers to claim a refund. It might only be £2.50 but the whole frustration has upset me. I won't be using Royal Mail again. I will use other Couriers. I would have given zero stars if this was possible."
