About Riverside:

The Riverside Garden Centre has been established since 1997 and is owned and run by Russell and Jo Jeffery who take a very hands-on approach to every aspect of the business. They are always on hand to help and give advice.

Having moved away from being a more traditional garden centre over recent years and evolved into a modern outdoor living destination, Riverside now focuses more on quality and style than it ever did before.

LARGEST WEBER® WORLD BBQ SHOWROOM

Officially the UK's largest Weber® World Barbecue showroom Riverside stocks and displays every Weber® barbecue and accessory available from the small, portable charcoal models, the award winning Q™ range as well as the famous charcoal kettles and outstanding gas barbecues. As a World Store Riverside also stocks a number of exclusive barbecues and accessories not found in regular Weber® stores or outlets.

TRAEGER GRILLS

With the popularity of barbecuing and outdoor smoking growing at a phenomenal rate Riverside has become the 'go to' place for Traeger grills, pellets and accessories. Easier to use than a traditional barbecue a Traeger grill controls the cooking temperature for you and produces perfectly smoked food every time.

I had 2 deliveries from you the first arrived next day as promised. The second should have arrived next day but took 3 days. I didn't receive any information to say that there would be a delay and my son stayed at the house all day on the day of the planned delivery. When I called your office the person dealing with it was not in so someone else took a message and I was promised a call back. No-one actually called back. This was very annoying. The packaging was quite poor. I ordered artificial screening and on both deliveries the tip of the screening had bent due to transport damage. Fortunately I was able to rectify this. The packaging box itself had more selotape around it than it did cardboard which made it very difficult to recycle.

I recently ordered a bbq on the Friday before the May bank holiday. I made a point of phoning riverside to check that because of the bank holiday next day meant that if I were to order on the Friday next day effectively meant Tuesday. I was laughed at and told yes. I booked a day of work for the Tuesday and the bbq didn’t turn up. I called riverside and they informed they didn’t actually hold the stock and it was coming directly from the supplier. I received no confirmation emails or text messages saying when it would be delivered. I took a second day off work at a cost of £700 and thankfully the bbq did arrive but cost me £700 more because of the day off. Riverside told me it was cause of the bank holiday even though I had made a point of phoning in the Friday to check and when I spoke to the delivery driver he said that’s nonsense as the suppliers delivery company work every day regardless of bank holidays. The BBQ it self is great but it the first and last time I will be ordering something for delivery. I’ve probably been unlucky but it’s not something I would chance wanting to happen again.

I bought a very expensive 6 burner Weber bbq, when delivered two wheels were immediately obvious as having been damaged. I managed to speak to someone from riverside and was advised to accept the delivery as damaged. When I later (after the schoolrun) opened the top of the bbz it was very badly damaged. The product has been collected but I am still awaiting contact about my reimbursement despite sveral emails.

Only has one tape to fasten the cover needs another. So not worth the money

Was contacted by a member of your team to inform me that my Weber had been built and ready for delivery A date was agreed, I took a day off work and about 2pm on the expected day of delivery i received a phone call to say it hadn’t been built yet !!!! When I challenged the lady she said it was human error-sorry not good enough

My bbq turned up with a lot of scratches on it that I can’t get out. I paid for it to be pre built and there was load of the protective film left on the inside so I’ve had to take it apart. Also. It doesn’t light unless I hold a match to it. Not impressed at all

We bought 6 outdoor planters ( Scheurich ) costing approximately £400 from Riverside garden centre after seeing them on display and they were delivered home. We spent a long time with the sales advisor making sure we knew how to fill them and look after them as we wanted to place artificial plants in them. However, despite following their advice we now have water filling up in the planters as there is not enough drainage for the water to escape. I contacted Riverside regarding this and sent them photos of the drainage hole and they then informed me that we would need to cut a hole in each planter to allow the water to drain adequately. This is now very difficult as the planters are very heavy and so we are left with a big issue. I complained to Riverside and they simply would not acknowledge that they had not advised to cut holes in the planters. Surely, this should be passed on to customers to avoid the issue we have. Despite an email to the owners and the manager there was no apology and they were just not helpful at all. I am very disappointed and certainly will not return so customer lost for life I am afraid Riverside. I ADVISE YOU TO TAKE NOTICE RIVERSIDE...

I bought two artificial flowers in little pots. Extremely disappointed when they arrived. Far too expensive. Would not buy from here again.

Hi Sue, The q1200 BBQs all come with the regulators for the disposable gas canisters which you will see it stated on the page on the website. The griddle was delivered quickly, although I was disappointed with the supposed porcelain finish. I had always thought that porcelain was a smooth shiny finish. This was rough almost like raw cast iron. Very disappointed tell Weber. Not Riverside’s fault.

Very disappointed - top fitting does not grip pole on parasol tightly enough to stop parasol turning in breeze and with our parasol being oblong it is a nuisance. Spoke to manufacturers and they offered no solution so will have to try and drill holes or something to anchor pole position.

Placing the order and organising delivery was no problem, however, the delivery man arrived on his own in a van that had no tail-lift and expected me to off-load a very heavy BBQ with him. Riverside should make customers aware that they will be needed to help, if I hadn't been home then my wife could not have managed the heavy BBQ.

Really let down with delivery. Paid for next day, Saturday delivery. Order didn't arrive, was in all day waiting. Got a text at 21:56 that read: As requested, we've change your delivery to Sunday. I'd not changed anything. No delivery attempt was made. I won't chance ordering from Riverside again. You've been let down by your courier.

Paid for a next day, Saturday delivery. Waited all day and received a text to say "Your delivery has been changed to Sunday, as requested" Last order I will place. Well done!

Once the item eventually arrived it was fine, however the delivery service was pretty terrible. Ordered two items for next day delivery but when the driver turned up there was only one package. Was assured over the phone that the second half would still turn up that day but it did not. The missing item was eventually delivered 3 days later, which was not great when promised a next day service, not to mention having to waste a whole day waiting for a parcel that never arrived. Appreciate that these issues were probably all down to the courier, but I have no control over that and I’d expect a retailer to at least offer something as compensation for all the hassle.
