About Riverside:

The Riverside Garden Centre has been established since 1997 and is owned and run by Russell and Jo Jeffery who take a very hands-on approach to every aspect of the business. They are always on hand to help and give advice.

Having moved away from being a more traditional garden centre over recent years and evolved into a modern outdoor living destination, Riverside now focuses more on quality and style than it ever did before.

LARGEST WEBER® WORLD BBQ SHOWROOM

Officially the UK's largest Weber® World Barbecue showroom Riverside stocks and displays every Weber® barbecue and accessory available from the small, portable charcoal models, the award winning Q™ range as well as the famous charcoal kettles and outstanding gas barbecues. As a World Store Riverside also stocks a number of exclusive barbecues and accessories not found in regular Weber® stores or outlets.

TRAEGER GRILLS

With the popularity of barbecuing and outdoor smoking growing at a phenomenal rate Riverside has become the 'go to' place for Traeger grills, pellets and accessories. Easier to use than a traditional barbecue a Traeger grill controls the cooking temperature for you and produces perfectly smoked food every time.

FURNITURE SHOWROOMS

Riverside likes to do things big and that includes their furniture ranges too.

With three large fully furnished showrooms bursting with big names including 4 Seasons Outdoor and Alexander Rose Riverside again offers the largest displays of both prestige brands anywhere to be seen in the UK. Be it dining, lounge or modular, virtually every product and set is on display and in stock at the Hertfordshire premises.

SILK PLANTS AND ARTIFICIAL WALL COVERING

To complement the furniture and outdoor living themes Riverside also specialise in high quality artificial plants and trees as well as UV protected foliage-covered screening panels. Particularly popular with interior designers, hotel chains and zoos Riverside's silks plants and wall panels have developed a good reputation both corporately and domestically.

I have yet to open the product itself but had a very poor experience with he delivery. the product was scheduled to be delivered on 2nd December but didn't and instead arrived on 3rd. Given the size and weight of product it would have been really useful but also really sensible if I had prior notice to the delivery so that i could clear the driveway, make space for it to be delivered to a convenient point. There was no notice and web. I asked the delivery driver if I could do so, he told me he didn't have time. Hopefully the product will be ok but this far the experience has been poor.

Difficult to rate Riverside as badly let down by their carrier DPD. Item was very late being delivered despite everyone’s efforts

2 stars although I know they are only agents for Weber, spent a lot of money on the product but when it arrived and was unpacked the amount of damage and missing items was unreal, obviously a return from customer, Riverside did act quickly and arranged for new parts to arrive (not here yet) But I would of expected Weber to have a QC before re despatching. I would only give Weber 1 star due to the poor condition received this.

The delivery was unannounced and left on a heavy pallet which I could not move to open the porch door to get in my house. I needed the help of a neighbour to move the table and pallet. I consider the method of delivery ie no warning, left outside the house and blocking the porch door very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I phoned Palletline who made the delivery to complain but they have not responded

Not happy with the communication , I’ve had issues with my product and can’t get very far with riverside to try and fix it. Been left in the dark after sending repeat emails . Shame

One of the relatively expensive chairs we bought was faulty upon delivery. We reported the fault one week ago but have not received any feedback on what will be done to sort out the issue.

Ordered from Riverside before with no problems. My last order arrived looking like it had been used as the football in the school playground, Luckily only a jar smashed (wife cleaned up before taking a picture, we have a 2 year old) so no replacement. Order was 9 days later than i was told, was never informed it would be late. Customer service unhelpful. Luckily my package was just charcoal, jars and rubs. Imagine if this was something expensive!

Hi...ordering online to collect when I had already spoken to someone and live 5 mins away seemed a bit clunky. Also, the Parasol... I thought was reordering the same I bought from you a couple of years back. Identical in every way, except that when I opened the parasol the mechanism was cheap plastic, not metal as per my earlier purchase and the parasol material seems to be of lesser quality. disappointed? you bet. I am still using the old one, the new one is unused in the garage. Part of the perils of online, and I hope you will be open soon. Ian

Would of been great, if only it was packaged in another box for delivery rather than just the box which said what it was all over it as it was a birthday present and that surprise was ruined pretty quickly!

Received a product which didn’t work as described, through fault of not keeping up to date with the software status. However, the customer service team at riverside have been exceptional in helping me get this resolved, and that is why it is getting two stars rather than one.

Its not possible to return or exchange anything unless you want to spend 30,40 pounds. Return policies are not customer friendly. The staff also didn't seem very considerate.

Hi, Thank you for your review. Looking into your order, you asked to exchange the Go Anywhere BBQ you bought. We informed you if you return the small portable BBQ to us we can then refund you and you can purchase the BBQ you meant to buy as you we in your 2 week returns policy. Customer service poor as following purchase I needed to get address amended: this proved to be too difficult/impossible to do, so item sent to wrong destination, requiring additional expense in getting it forwarded to correct address.

Riverside in terms of price are excellent, as is speed of their delivery. Cannot fault them at all. My mistake for not reading the terms and conditions on payment but delivery is curbside and if you have a reasonably long drive, then this is an issue if it is a large (and expensive) BBQ. I felt this could have been highlighted when called about delivery dates. As yet cannot report on the actual product as still on my driveway with no idea how I will move it as it weighs 64kgs. Disappointed in customer services response, which is why I have made the effort to leave a review, just to make sure others do not make my mistake.
