I made my first claim this month.I emailed the claim and within less than half-an-hour I received a reply saying the claim had been approved and would be paid. That is what I call 5* Service, sadly very rare these days. Thank you Regency-Justin.

Went to the doctor and filed a claim in the morning. Regency claims department replied within 30 minutes asking me to confirm if they had all the correct details. My claim was sorted out quickly and efficiently and I am pleased to keep them as my medical insurance.

I developed issues with my neck which requires surgery. I instructed the hospital to check with them in advance as to whether they will cover. They want me to provide a year's medical records before they would even entertain my claim. When I said I hadn't been to a doctor in the past year but for the current issue that I was facing that required access to that cover, they then asked me to go further back in time to get medical history from more than a year ago from a different country. They are appear to be happy enough to pay rats and mice stuff but when it comes to something that you want to rely on the policy for, don't hold your breath. Will not be renewing. Worthless cover.

What has gone wrong is that I can't even HAVE an experience with Regency for Expats because you have no telephone number and I can't call you. I have had to leave an email address and phone number and there is absolutely no indication of when anyone will respond, and I'm looking for an urgent quotation for international group medical insurance. I'm sure you provide very good insurance but I hope you understand that this isn't a very good first impression.

Not as simple to claim as to buy the policy. Trust me pls get them to write everything in black and white and do not deal with them over the phone. Will not renew next year and will never recomment it to anyone.

They refused to pay my dental claim for some fillings after someone initially mis-coded it as orthodontal work. This led to a long back-and-forth between me and them. Nobody would answer my emails. When I called in, I was told that the claims team would contact me. That never happened. I had a lawsuit filed against me from my dentist's office because I hadn't paid my bill... because Regency wouldn't pay my claim. So I've been paying it myself to avoid going to prison in a country that I'm not even from, AND continued to pay premiums to an insurance company that wouldn't pay my claim. Now my credit here is kind of ruined. So yeah... I highly discourage anyone from purchasing insurance from Regency. (Although I technically purchased the insurance from Principle Assurance, then it was acquired by Regency.) This is the worst experience I have ever had with an insurance company, and I'm from America. So that says a lot.

Be very wary and avoid this slickly advertised 'too good to be true' company! Am an 'merican Expat living a long time in Thailand, where there are not strict rules or oversite on company's like these. Obviously there are here, obviously to a discerning eye and mind, mostly fake, empty illiterate 5 star ratings, to boost their averages. Reading carefully, almost all of those so called positive reviews, have no details and only say they are so kind and do whatever they are supposed to. This is called 'Astroturfing'! Look it up. Means planting fake positive reviews online, as they certainly pay people to do on this site and on other legit review websites as well! After a few years with them, I can attest to the fact that they denied claims that the other legit companies all do cover, in my final case with them, an inguinal hernia, with no history or record of 'pre-existing'. They also denied payment for a kidney stone, also a first time with no history or reason, besides saying some med I might have taken 15 years ago, might have caused it.. Again several hospital's insurance departments told me that other companies generally always pay for this procedure! To mention also, the 'small print' that they will not cover any hospital inpatient stay and will reduce the total of all surgical and medical expenses by 20% if staying in a Private room, which many hospitals here only offer! After consulting Insurance departments of several major hospitals here, was told by several of them, that these people have a history of not paying, which is why they do not get pre approved. They do not get back to you, as they advertise, in a 'timely manor' as they claim, unless it is to get more money from you! Had to wait 3 days in expensive hospital waiting to hear back from their so called in house 'expert', for their refusal to pay for kidney stone treatment. Was told they have an office here, but false. Was told they are backed by a known Brit and Hong Kong Re-assurance company, but also false! As mentioned many times here, they are only registered on Nevis, a small tax haven Caribbean Island. Very suspicious obviously. So that is where one must go to or complain to (try and find that phone number!)!? I also was shunted off to the infamous "Maria" in HK, who was very good at delaying and giving false hope of resolution, but just great at putting us off.. The original price was suspiciously inexpensive, but the annual fees jumped surprisingly fast once signed up, once i passed the 70 year old barrier to get any other company to provide cover! Shopping around for a real reputable company, have spoken with several agents who have inevitably heard and it is becoming more known in that industry, at least here, that these guys are complete phoney rip offs! Hopefully a Class Action Suit, as many here have suggested will happen and I will happily join and contribute to that, to get these con artists out of this business! There will always be ignorant fools and suckers who will empty their pockets and fall for these guys, enough to keep them in business. Further more, there is no objective comparative website (that doesn't sell and get commissions for selling this fake product) that ranks or reviews insurance company's with this group included, favorably. Please do careful diligent research before committing money in a once in a lifetime decision!

I’ve had Life Insurance with Regency for 2 years. I turned 66 in this last covered year. I just tried to renew for 2023 and was denied. The reason? “ We would like to inform you that we could only provide life coverage up to the age of 65 years old. We are afraid that since you have already reached the age of 66 years old, the policy could no longer be renewed”. So, Regency will be happy to take your money while you’re young, but they don’t want to risk having to pay off a settlement as you age. I still haven’t seen this policy in their ‘Fine ‘Print’.

Avoid like the plague. Very good at selling their products but try making a claim and first they will tell you that you are not covered and then they will just ignor your emails. with the hope that you will die and leave them alone.

Guys Its Totally Fraud completely , i am sharing the mail which i received after 115 days mail communication , Never ever buy this , it will finish you Dear Dipendra Singh, Following a review of the claims submitted due to the injuries suffered whilst in the workplace, as well as medical expertise, this has also been carefully considered by our legal and underwriting experts. In terms of the medical assessment, our experts have raised the issue of the wound healing being impeded by your apparent underlying, uncontrolled diabetes. This means policy exclusions 1 and 67 are relevant. However, the primary issue here has been identified by our legal and underwriting teams. They note that the injury was due to a number of failures by the company to ensure a safe manual labour working environment for all staff including: • no designated coal cooling area, • lack of attention on the hot coal/dust ashes hazard and its consequences, • no defined method for cleaning access road, uneven surface, • inconsistent availability of the machinery, • inefficient planning and, • low cut safety shoes. Following the incident a report was prepared which included 15 remedial measures, described as ‘corrective actions’. It also contained recommendations from the relevant Government authority including: • Separation between pedestrian and stock pile, safe walk ways, • Pedestrian maintained all the time without hot materials, • Danger/Warning signs, • Staff briefings, • Sufficient fire facilities and, • Heat resistant safety shoes covering to the knee. Our underwriting and legal teams confirm that the costs for this injury and subsequent treatment do fall under policy exclusion 59 ‘Expenses which are recoverable from a third party’. This is because the cause of the injury was an unsafe working environment, requiring significant remedial measures to correct – measures identified and recorded by both the company and the Government authority. Underwriting and legal have explained that our plans are private health insurance policies, they are not designed, or intended, to replace the duty of an employer to provide and maintain a safe working environment, or provide workplace insurance to cover the risk of accidents and injuries which occur in a high risk manual labour based workplace such as an industrial environment. This is why different types of insurance policies exist – to fulfil different requirements. However, they do also confirm that the policy, including the condition ‘subrogation’, does enable us to consider covering costs where the liability sits with a third party, if those costs are recovered. Therefore, if Shwe Taung Cement commit to reimbursing Regency for Expats under the policy terms and conditions we can consider any outstanding costs on the proviso costs will be recovered from the liable party – the company. Kind Regards, Mary

if I can, I would have given a negative 5 star. they are the WORST you can ever get. Avoid them AT ALL COST. They tell you they cover all this and that when they try to get you as a client, but will try whatever they can to find a reason to decline your claim later. They also decline claims which would have been usually approved by any other insurance company in similar policy terms. They are also very slow in responses, super slow!!!! All you can contact them is through emails and they are not responsive. It caused so much unnecessary stress in particular when you need an answer before you can proceed with your medical treatment. What is also terrible is, they also sometimes have "technical errors" which results in you not receiving the payment of the claims which have already been approved by them too, when all your bank account info has always been the same. They also never follow up on your query emails and you need to wait forever and realise that no one is following it through for you and you have to spend the time on following up with them multiple times to get someone to reply to you , and many times they wouldn't answer all your questions and you have to ask again and again, and it’s nothing but causing extreme frustration on top of whatever medical illness you are having. I hope this can be an alert to anyone else who is considering them.

Avoid at all costs. They will take your money for coverage and then deny recommended medical treatment but will also make you wait weeks in poor health before they deny assistance. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH REGENCY FOR EXPATS

This company is a joke! As per there terms I sent over a request for pre-approval for surgery, 7 months on and still no surgery! Can't get a straight answer from anyone in customer services, half the time they pretend the line isn't clear so they can evade the conversation. Their data protection is non existent- one day they talked to me at length about my private medical details without even asking my name! I feel completely defeated trying to get any help from them; I'm sat here unable to live a normal life waiting not just for a pre-approval claim but also to another non related claim to be processed (which has now been over 2 months!) I am truly regretful I put my faith in this company!

Extremely poor service. I have made a claim filled all the forms and sent my supporting documents and I’ve not heard from the company. I’ve written many emails with reminders and no reply from them. They make an effort to frustrate you and they are very good at that. So we if you want to make another claim you get frustrated. They are very good in frustrating you.

they are asking evidences of preexisting health condition only when they have to assess your claim. at the time of the contract it looks they can provide everithing without issues and no need of providing your clinical records before the start of the contract. it looks a trap. I'm still under discussions with them for claims on medical visits and analysis following covid-19 with a premium level of insurance... orrible!!! .
