My 99 year old uncle had asked for his body to be donated for dissection but in the event, he had been ill, and his body was unsuitable. The simple disposal of his body through Pure Cremation fulfilled what he wanted and meant he was able to leave more funds to causes he supported. All in all, that would have made him happy!

My friend died suddenly, I was shattered but before he died he said he wanted a direct cremation. So I contacted Pure Cremations. They were kind,understanding and explained everything to me. Nothing seemed to much for them. The staff are professional,kind and lovey. This company made a difficult time easier. I can’t recommend them highly enough D.F. Flanagan

Thank you for your positive review and kind comments about our team. We fully understand that you would want a sense of closure as soon as possible, and have looked carefully to see why it took 17 days from instructing us, rather than our ideal of 14 days, to complete the cremation. Sadly, January is a month of very high demand for all professionals involved in funeral care and it is not unusual for families to wait between 3 and 4 weeks for a traditional, local funeral service at this time of year. We can confirm that securing the legally required cremation paperwork from the local GPs took longer than we would have liked. However, because of this, our team ensured that the earliest available cremation time was reserved for your loved one. We often have to make a judgement about sharing details of any delays or difficulties associated with an arrangement. We know that there will be occasions when our policy of handling issues quietly “behind the scenes” gives an impression that things are moving forward slowly, but our first priority will always be protecting the bereaved from unnecessary distress.

My friend passed away suddenly leaving directions for a direct cremation. This company guided me through the process with kindness and sensitivity. The staff are wonderful never forgetting the deceased was a person. They kept me informed all the way to end. No hidden costs only kindness, guidance and afectioncy I highly recommend men

My stepfather wished for there to no funeral, no relatives, no service and that his body simply "disposed of". After he passed away, I was at something of a loss as to how to meet his wishes. Arranging such things via the internet was also a bit strange at first; it all seemed a bit impersonal. However, I needn't have worried. The staff at Pure Cremation were extremely understanding, thorough, considerate, helpful and professional. The whole thing went absolutely smoothly and very easily. Thank you Pure Cremation.

As we live over 5 hours drive from my recently deceased auntie, we had to go and sort out her accommodation and all her financial affairs after he death which we only had a short time to complete. She lived in her town alone with no family near her..It would have meant travelling 3 times backwards and forwards soring out the funeral and staying in hotels which is very stressful. We heard on this service through her neighbour so investigated it through the internet and. after some careful thought and phoning them, it seemed like an excellent procedure leaving us the be able to celebrate her life anytime it suited us after the ashes were hand delivered, which we are going to do early summer. I would recommend this dignified procedure to anyone who is hesitant to use it. They are very compassionate and kind. Also the price is extremely cheaper than a standard funeral, but that was not our reason. In fact, I will be wanting this type of funeral myself when it comes to my time.

My father passed away on the 29th November. My mum and dad hadn’t made any funeral arrangements.Most of their friends had already passed away and we felt we couldn’t go through with a service, so I searched for a funeral director who just did cremation. How pleased I was to find this excellent company.They were so caring on the phone and patient.They took away all the stress and worry of what otherwise would have been unbearable.They were so professional too.We knew what was happening and when. My mother was 96 years of age at the time of her death and had outlived most of her friends and contemporaries. My sister and I chose a direct cremation using the services of Pure Cremation because we felt that the usual crematorium service would not be a fitting memorial to her life because so few people would be able to attend. We used Pure Cremation to carry out a direct cremation. The staff that we spoke to were pleasant,helpful and efficient. The cremation was carried out and we did not choose to attend. My mother's ashes were delivered to us in a dignified and professional manner. We plan to scatter my mother's ashes at the seaside where she wanted to end her days. I am glad we chose these arrangements utilising Pure Cremation's services.

My Dad had insisted on a "no funeral" policy when he died and as a family we were all relieved that this was the case as we all believe that funeral companies are just money making scams forcing families to go through a tortuous experience! Without going into too much detail 'Pure Cremation' were excellent from start to finish ,enabling us as a family to grieve in a more natural and relaxed manner, without forcing us to go through the enforced misery of a traditional funeral....This truly is the way forward,can't fault this company who helped us despatch my Dad as he wanted!We will choose to celebrate his life on a beautiful sunny day when we're ready and not before!!

My Mother told me not to spend a lot on her funeral. I found information on the Internet in relation to direct cremation, but I wanted to be there when Mum was committed. Pure Cremation offered everything I needed at a more than reasonable cost. With the assistance of Waveney Crematorium I was able to sort out a very personal service for Mum with music that she wanted and our own family readings. We were even able to webcast to America for my brother who was unable to attend. I would highly recommend Pure Cremation. They were helpful and respectful and assured me that the items I wanted Mum to be with her would always be with her which was most appreciated. Bereavement is always a hard time but it was made easier by how Pure Cremation assisted. Thank you for looking after my Mum.

Mum, who has dementia, wouldn't have been able to cope with the fuss of a big funeral and wanted to keep things simple. Dad was 87 when he passed away and was an only child. I was also his only child so not exactly a lot of family members to consider. Pure Cremation made things easy and all the costs were transparent so no hidden extras to worry about. Any questions I had were answered quickly and sympathetically. I have already recommended them and will continue to do so. Thank you Pure Cremation. Andrew, Nottingham

Pure Creation were really helpful in guiding us to the type of funeral my Mum and Dad wanted and had discussed for a long time before the sad death of my father two weeks ago. The team, especially Harriet, were kind, caring and compassionate with regard to the arrangements which were all carried out over the phone and email. We used Pure Cremation after reading their clear helpful website, not because of the low cost, but because we wanted a completely private very small personal farewell to Dad. We declined to use the non religious reading offered at the crematorium, and instead said our goodbyes in our own way. I believe this is the sort of personal funeral many more families would choose if it were advertised more, and I would not hesitate to recommend Pure Cremation to anyone.

At first, buying a cremation off the internet seemed a little worrying. We didn't know the company, how would we know the ashes we received would be our loved one's remains? However with Pure Cremation our initial fears were unfounded. Pure have provided a very professional and caring cremation service. They have kept us informed throughout the whole process and handled everything with great efficiency, speed and thoughtfulness. With our loved one's ashes in our possession we now have the flexibility to give him the send off we know he would have wanted. We have been totally happy with all aspects of the service and highly recommend Pure.

Excellent service, quick and easy to sort out over the telephone, the paperwork is emailed the same day. The lady who telephoned us to tell us when the cremation would be said they would let us know when the ashes were ready to collect but I had to email and ask. Would recommend to anyone, especially those on a budget.

We are fairly confident that things went well, although of course we were not there. When we first contacted you, you sounded professional. What we didn't like was the fact that you did not stay in contact, as we had to keep contacting you. We hope that you will contact us soon regarding the ashes. The other thing we were not happy about was the fact that you kept getting the name wrong, and although you apologised, even with this survey, you continue to write to Anna Bauml, when she is the deceased, which really is not professional. Although those things greatly disappointed us, we would still recommend you. Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your comments. It is very difficult to always provide the right level of communication - some of our clients simply don't want to know what's going on, others want to hear from us every single day. Getting the balance right is a challenge and we are constantly reviewing this. We completely agree that accuracy is vital and have addressed this with our team. Unfortunately our review system is automated and triggered as soon as the information we are initially given is entered into our systems and doesn't pick up later changes. Pure Cremation handled my telephone enquiries about their service in a very professional and caring manner which gave me confidence to select them to carry out my late Aunt's cremation. I did have to repeat some of the information I had provided in my first telephone call during a second call and this is my only criticism.

the lady was absolutely lovely and helpful but i didnt recieve the form i needed for the cremation so asked for another and that never came? so had to go through the traditional route which i didnt want.dissapointed

Dear Julie, We are always disappointed to receive a negative review and have looked into the details of your interaction with us. I can assure you that all documents were sent by post on the 21st March to the address given because you were unable to print them out from email. On the 31st March we sent an email to confirm that hospital paperwork was complete and that we needed the green form issued to you by the Registrar in order to bring mum into our care. On the 11th April following numerous telephone conversations about your wishes, you finally revealed that you had not received the paperwork and your brother had made alternative arrangements. We are very aware that some families struggle to move things forward and so are careful not to make them feel under any additional pressure. However in future we will ask customers to acknowledge receipt of posted documents.

Bereavement services are certainly among the most difficult to offer considering the level of stress normally accompanying the process. Pure Cremation are well up to the task and provided service, answers to questions and timely communication that exceeded our expectations at every turn. The personal attention to detail, including anticipating every question were nothing less than brilliant. Care and respect were evident in every transaction. I can recommend Pure Cremation without hesitation or reservation.
