“The only concern is that it is still expensive in my opinion for picking up a body, organisin the Cremation and delivering the ashes, it is half the price of using a funeral parlour who are, in my opinion, just ripping off people at a time of great sadness.”

“We asked Pure Cremation to take care of my mum's cremation. My mum had left specific instructions that she wanted us to arrange a direct cremation rather than the traditional funeral we are used to in this country. I found Pure Cremation to be professional, caring and competent all the way through. They never hassled us for payment or anything else. I could organise all the paperwork online too which was a real benefit to me as I am a full time carer for my disabled husband and was also trying to deal with my mum's sudden death and the need to redistribute her possessions and the like in a very short time frame. I have always hated having to walk into a funeral parlour - though the staff are usually very nice - just as it is such a sad reminder of the loss you have suffered. The team at Pure Cremation made a painful but necessary business much easier and I would wholeheartedly recommend both direct cremation as a better option than a traditional funeral and this company in particular to handle the arrangements for you.”

“My husband wanted no fuss so private cremation was ideal. I will now be able to travel with his ashes to Thailand where a Buddhist Monk will preform a simple ceremony before scattering his ashes on the sea. Pure Cremation also provided a Funeral Director's declaration to go with my husbands ashes to minimise issues at customs!”

“Well , I think this company caused me more stress than I needed at the time of my husband passing , I rang them in the morning of his death and 19 days after they collected him from the hospital, I rang to say what was happening after I sent in all the forms and death certificate only to be told I hadn’t returned the release the body form , no empathy what’s so ever , I said that body is my husband , checked my emails and saw that I had received the email early that morning , PC disagreed with that , I then waited a few more days and rang again I got maybe dates for collection and cremation , eventually I spoke to Alex who cave me something in concrete so I knew what was happen . The ashes did arrive on the day they said but yet another awful experience , where I live is difficult to find so I told the drive to head for an address near me , he arrive at a parking area I told him that he couldn’t park here as it was private but there is an area just near he could use , his replied was it’s ok I have your husbands ashes here and proceed to hand me a bag , I burst into tears it was so impersonal I felt I was getting a Tesco delivery , the driver did ask if I was going to be ok , at which time my Mum arrive and we walk to the house . I carried out my husband wishes to use this company , also my family thought Pure Cremation was something that they would like to use , but not now , and neither would I . I have found out that most local funeral company’s will do the same , and hopefully with a lot more empathy .”

“Terrible service. I was expecting my son home at around 11am, was waiting and waiting, I rang to see where he was and they hadn't attempted to bring him home, there was mix up with the days. Least to say I was mortified. Added stress to my grief. They weren't all that sympathetic on the phone.”

“I gave a review on Trust pilot but happy to give another. As a family we have been very pleased with the overall service that Pure Cremation provided. Everyone we spoke to or dealt with were respectful and sympathetic at the most difficult time. We had mum cremated on Saturday 24th April at Charlton Park, the most beautiful peaceful place, we attended as a close group, just mums Children and Grandchildren, it was very intimate and fitting for our mum and exactly what she wanted due to the difficulty at this time. Mums choice of music was provided and we all said our goodbyes in a very us rushed manor. Mum came home this week, hand delivered by a lovely man who was more than happy to listen to me speak about mum. He was in no rush to leave until I was ready knowing he has others to deliver safely to their loved ones. We are now in the process of organising a Celebration of mums life, the formality of dealing with the immediate aftermath of loosing some one as close as it gets was simple, conducted smoothly and respectfully and not extortionate. Thank you all at Pure Cremation for you excellent service.”

“I was very happy with the guys who collected Richard, despite it being 03:00 and a long drive they were respectful, told me their names and explained what would happen. Similarly, Rick, who brought Richard’s ashes back to me was lovely, chatty and personable and once he’d made contact kept me updated. The bit in the middle left me tormented. I sent a letter and photos to go in the coffin with Richard and despite requesting confirmation of their arrival and a time of cremation, I wasn’t contacted until a day later which upset me greatly. Also, waiting to hear about the return of ashes, I had to ‘chase’ for an answer and in my distressed state had convinced myself that Richard’s ashes had been sprinkled in your garden by mistake and no one wanted to tell me. Unfortunately, these 2 lacks in communication made a devastating time even more so.”

Dear Maggie, thank you for your comments and kind words. I have reviewed the matters you raise and agree that you should have received confirmation fo the arrival of the items you sent, although this information would also have been available on the Royal Mail website. We are meeting with our ashes return team to discuss the timescales within which they are expected to contact families so there is less time for any worry. As you might expect at this very challenging time for the whole country, we have been looking after an unprecedented number of families and on occasion, this has impacted our usually excellent communication. You would have received a leaflet when Richard was brought into our care that states we are unable to give cremation times in advance, but this should have been addressed again when you made your request for this information. I am sorry that you mistakenly believed that we would have done anything other than follow your instructions regarding Richard's ashes. Even where a family requests scattering in the garden of remembrance we wait 30 days in case they change their minds. I hope that having Richard back home with you now has given a measure of comfort. “The concept of a no fuss method of cremation with a simple and straightforwad means of collection of the deceased is a great relief to those who are left behind at a time of often great stress. This allows for a celebration of a persons life at a time when thing's have settled down without the trauma of mourning and the cost of funeral arrangements at a difficult time for those family members closely involved. Celebrating a life is far more beneficial than dwelling on a passing at the saddest of times. I would sincerely recommend Pure Cemations to be of great help under these circumstances.”

“Due to Covid 19 I had to arrange someone to take care of my dad very quickly after he passed away in his nursing home. From the moment he was collected to the point I received his ashes yesterday I have been immensely impressed with every aspect of Pure Cremation. At such a difficult time, being kept up to date with how things were happening was so helpful. I particularly want to thank the lovely driver, Steve, who brought dad's ashes to me. He was kind and thoughtful and made me feel that dad was important, not just another delivery.”

“I can’t recommend Pure Cremation highly enough. They have been brilliant and the whole process has helped me with coming to terms with the death of my mother during the Corona Virus pandemic. From the evening I phoned after mum had passed away and I spoke to a lovely lady through to the delivery of the ashes today by a very courteous gentleman. Such a professional, compassionate service at such a very reasonable cost. Thank you.”

“I lost my husband recently, and due to the circumstances with covid-19, I was very much alone with everything, and didn't have much of an idea what to do. I saw an ad on TV for Pure Cremation and looked into it. I must admit I was sceptical at first, double and triple checked everything, read up on the service, then finally decided to go for it. Pure Cremation made it as easy as I can possibly imagine. One phone call, a couple of emails, and everything was taken care of. Everybody I interacted with was friendly and understanding, explaining exactly what was going to happen. I was kept updated on the process, and even though it took slightly longer than usual due to the circumstances, everything was handled for me. The gentleman who hand delivered my husband's ashes back to me was very polite and friendly as well, making the whole experience a little bit easier. I would recommend Pure Cremation to anybody who finds themselves in a situation where services like theirs are needed. Things are difficult enough in a time like that without having to worry about cremation / funeral arrangements, and Pure Cremation ensured that I didn't have to worry about a thing in that regard.”

“The customer care was perfect . Even though I changed my mind a couple of times over details the staff were professional friendly and efficient . I would definitely recommend this service to anyone , it was a pleasure to deal with them despite the awful circumstances you find yourself in .”

“When my husband passed away unexpectedly I was in a very bad place. I remembered he had mentioned Pure Cremation on seeing your advert, so I looked online and got in touch. It was absolutely perfect for him , and they were so kind and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and it all went so smoothly right down to them hand delivering his ashes. I will be using them myself when the time comes and would not hesitate to recommend them. Thank you”

“The service I received from Pure Cremation was exceptional and I am extremely thankful that I discovered them after researching online, following the death of my father from Covid-19 during this terrible epidemic. With the restrictions on funerals, and with our mum unable to attend a physical event due to her vulnerability in this crisis, we chose Pure Cremation to take care of my father's cremation, and we received his ashes just a week later - enabling us to avoid the distress of him getting caught up in the hospital and funeral backlog. From the prompt and sensitive email communication, to the easy-to-understand payment terms and lack of sales pressure, to the collection of his body from the hospital to the final delivery by hand of my dad's ashes, the service we received was exemplary and I would have no hesitate in recommending Pure Cremation - especially at this time of the pandemic when traditional funeral options are so limited.”
