The member of Promain staff was trying to be helpful when I asked about using Polytrol for a faded GRP front door. The product was useless and expensive and the staff member was clearly quoting what the manufacturers say in their advertising literature. This was misleading and I won't be using either Polytrol or Promain again. Instead I went to Screwfix, bought a water based primer for plastic then painted the door with conventional oil based paint. It was a good result and I should have done this in the beginning, saving time and money.

Quite disappointed having read previous reviews. Ordered 7 x 5L cans of Royalan & received 1 x 25L drum. Incorrect quantity & size of container supplied. However having contacted Promain they stated that it was supplied direct from Keim Ltd. Now awaiting update from Promain & having to appease / explain to customer why delay in completing job. Not a happy bunny!

Excellent product range, good salesmen, let down by delivery. Awful parcel tracking unacceptable with todays technology - said delivered in Aylesbury - delivered in Oxford - but to the wrong address. Unfortunetly Promain insist that it was signed for at the delivery address even though it was not delivered there and I eventually went and picked it up myself. Not acceptable, not good enough and not happy at being fobbed off.

Colour on website nothing like the actual colour. Although can understand it is not really Promain's fault. Ordered a second colour and a tin missing, so missed the window of opportunity to apply the new coating. Still will use again as over the years I have found Promain to be one of the best companies to deal with and everyone has an off day sometimes.

A bit worried as our son has advised of problems with the product.. Thick tar in bottom of rin that won't mix with skimmed milk liquid in tin.. We are on holiday for 9 days hoping for the floor to be sealed for. Our return. Very worried

Would love to review the product purchased from Promain (Aquasteel) but as it has not been delivered yet (4 working days) when it was supposedly available from stock I can only review as poor. No advice had been given about a delay until the delivery was chased.

Very unfortunate blunder organising delivery to the billing address in Hampshire rather than the shipping address in East London. Cost us two days and caused severe inconvenience.

The so-called "balcony" paint from Promain is expensive and not suitable for use on balconies for the below reasons: 1.) It is slippery when any rubber soled shoes are used on it when wet. I had to put an additional coat of the paint with a mixture of kiln dried sand to remove its slippery properties. 2.) After a month of being in use, it has already started bubbling after a few rainy days. Balcony paint is expected to be non-slip and be able to resist rainy conditions. In my experience this paint, although market for balconies, is not fix for purpose.

THE GARAGE FLOOR PAINT I PURCHASED FROM YOU IS NOT VERY HARD WEARING LIKE I THOUGHT IT SHOULD BE. ALSO NOT GOOD IF YOU SPILL PETROL, PAINT WIPES OFF. GARAGE FLOOR PAINT I THOUGHT WOULD NOT WIPE OFF.

I bought some mould/algea killer to clean walls on a house. I called up to get advice, but the product didn't work at all - it had no effect what so ever on the mould and algea. I eventually found a product that worked. The initial contact was polite, and I didn't complain about the product or asked for a refund.

We are always willing to resolve any issues or complaints raised, however, we were not given to opportunity to offer a replacement before the customer purchased elsewhere.

Unfortunately the product did not clean the patio as well as it promised on the label. In spite of endless brushing and washing 3 days after the application the mould is still there. Quite disappointing result bearing in mind its cost!

The line marking product we bought just did not last and did not adhere well even when using the optional tack coat. Very disappointing as it started peeling off just 1 month later and in the end had to be completely removed and replaced wit another loine marking product.

It looks like the thermoplastic line was not heated sufficiently as we do not experience this problem when the plastic is correctly melted in to the tarmac. The solution would have been to re-heat the thermoplastic to ensure good adhesion, but it appears we were not given the opportunity to assist with a solution. This does not appear to be an issue with Promain's customer service, more likely an issue with the incorrect application of the product.

I purchased 2 by 5vlitre tins of paint. on the web site, only to find out the following day that the 5 litre tins were no longer available. I asked for a refund and received an email on a Wednesday morning to say that my refund was processed that day. I have still not received my refund by Saturday. I phoned , ti be told it would be Tuesday before my refund would be processed.
