Overall, it was alright..... It's an effective charger but it was a long time between booking/paying and installation. I also had to do quite a bit of digging around for information prior to confirming the installation.

From ordering and sending photos of the meter correspondence was not great. Had to ring 3 times only to be told the installer wanted run a cable round my back garden which was not acceptable. In the end, I had to ask for a survey which we came to an amicable solution.

After a shaky start with numerous cancelling and getting dates sorted , when eventually got point installed, could not have had a nicer person, install and sort out with minimum fuss . well explained on day .

Although the process from ordering to installation (of a domestic podpoint) was completed in a short space of time it was difficult to communicate directly with the team organising the project. Being deafened, I requested prewarning over timing of telephone calls, which was not heeded. Emails (my preferred method of communication) can be difficult and this was made more so by extra work required at the property prior to installation. Although this prep work was completed by a PodPoint registered electrician (organised by me) who advised us of an exact location to 'cut in' the cables this was ignored by the company and their engineer. There was also the fact that an unwanted piece of equipment was sent out without being requested by us yet the return cost of this was not refunded. The work seems to be of a good standard however and the end result is working. The app could do with a little improvement regarding continuous display of charging status etc but perhaps that is something which is being developed.

Installer was amazing but the process to get him there was a nightmare with multiple photos and videos having to be submitted. I was told that access would be required to the electric supply box which meant moving a washing machine and removing worktops. Once the installer attended he said we needn’t have done that and amended instillation due to the electric supply box being difficult to access. Had an engineer have just been sent in the first place it would have avoid a lot of hassle and disruption.

Actual installation on its own would score 5/5 however electronic dealings in lead-up abysmal with responses taking at least 48 hours. When chased for a response immediate reply given. When questioned, no response to my query as to why the customer was expected to complete the initial survey. No response to my email stating I was 76, not so agile any more and not very tech savvy. still await an explanation for the reference made to on-going covid 19 regulations, what were they at the end of April 2023 ?

Ordering and fitting the Pod Point went well, but it was disappointing that it took a week (including e-mail and phone calls) to get the unit linked to my Pod Point App.

Not one of the best implementation experiences. Product works ok, but again, connecting and activating the app was super fiddly.

Getting my Pod point installed was not as straight forward as it should have been. Photos were required, then videos that needed an external video transfer page were required, in the end an engineer was sent out so I could show him the route exactly as I wanted it. I can't imagine how the older generation or someone not so computer literate would be able to go through this. Engineer sent to scope out job in first place would have been best. Installation went very well, very neat and exactly as required as the engineer doing the install was the same engineer who carried out the site survey. Very happy with this part of the job.

Still can’t connect my PodPoint unit to the app to track my usage. Physical installation was fine but 4 weeks later I still cannot set it up in the app

Installer suddenly called at 930 am but I expected him afternoon and he is on the way.Apart from that he is nice and answered all questions.

I obtained several estimates for a 7kW EV power supply for my new car. Pod Point was the cheapest by quite a margin. Some quotes were hundreds of pounds dearer. Whether they would have been better is, of course, unknown. The installer was pleasant enough but I thought it was a bit of a cheek to connect his own electric ID3 to MY power point to fill HIS car up at MY expense. It wasn't just momentary, either, but probably about half an hour. If he wanted to test the installation my own car was actually closer. In use the Pod Point works OK. There were some problems with the app initially but it seems to be working now. It is disappointing that I cannot turn off the power supply via the app and have to scrabble about on the floor to get to the contact breaker. This is to prevent further unauthorised use which I know can happen. Further email communication with the company is reasonably good. I think my rating of "Acceptable" is justified.

I was not shown how to set the timers & I was unable to connect to the app for 3-4 days. I had to log in on my PC to link the charger as doing it through the app on my mobile was not working. I was not told I would need to do this.

Mark the electrician that came was excellent - knowledgeable helpful informed. Podpoint call centre a bit disorganised - didnt return emails and had to chase to get answers - appeared to be run by young people who had no urgency in confirming things or communicating and missing the point of me having to coordinate with an electrician pre installation of the EV charger. When had a problem with the App they were over a week replying.

Installation was really good, booking it was a little more difficult had to message twice. Then they tried to cancel after I booked a day off work. But overall it was good

The installation initially went very well. Nilesh the engineer was very professional and has made a good job of connecting the Pod to my electrical supply. He also connected the POD to my home wifi. Unfortunately, I then downloaded the Pod Point App and was Unable to connect it to the POD. This was completed remotely by Pod Point which delayed the useful functions within the App. I have then received an electrical installation certificate with my name spelled incorrectly, which I have referred back to Pod Point for correction.
