This company are a joke. We had an engineer out to service our Ideal boiler and investigate a banging noise when the hot water tap was turned on. The problems started from day 1 to be fair... We had a morning slot booked so I took the morning off work. I was then called late morning to be told it would now be in the afternoon so I had to take more time off work. Not a good start but the engineer arrived late in the day, did the service and this came back all clear. We then pretty much immediately started getting an L2 error code (in addition to more frequent banging noises) so had a different engineer out who in a space of 20 minutes told us it was irrepairable and we would need a whole new boiler which would cost us at least £3000. Our house is 4 years old so this was pretty surprising. He said the so called FHRU had gone and this part was now obsolete... now, point 1 at this part - Ideal boilers themselves didn't know what a FHRU is and point 2, all parts for Ideal boilers are available 10-15 years after production. So this was absolute bulls*%$! This of course really upset us and after much worry and concern, thinking that we had to replace the whole boiler and spend thousands of pounds, we decided to get an IDEAL engineer out. Low and Behold, he had the boiler fixed and up and running in less than an hour and all he did was replace a gas valve, trap and igniter. The IDEAL engineer also wondered why the condensate trap was so dirty after it had been apparently serviced just a couple of months earlier? This is because the engineer from PlumbingForce didn't do his job properly. So in the end, it was absolutely nothing to do with this so-called FHRU! Ultimately, we have paid for 2 visits and from those 2 visits, we have received a service which wasn't completed properly and then told complete lies about needing a whole new boiler and being sent quotes for thousands of pounds, for it only to be fixed without an issue by the IDEAL engineer and only need a a few parts replaced. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! We have complained to them and expected to be compensated but we have been told we will not be getting any refund as they are now blaming IDEAL themselves as apparently their engineer called them and was advised that the issue was with the FHRU, even though when I called them, they didn't know what an FHRU was?! Absolute shambles of a company. Will not do their job properly and then try to scam you in to purchasing a whole new boiler. Looks like I am not the only one they have tried to SCAM!!!

Do NOT use!!! Charged £5k for a Baxi water cylinder for a 2 bed flat, knowing no better I paid and didn't check their pricing. Asked them again a few months later to price for a boiler and flue for the same property as they actually did an ok job. This time however I did some homework on them when I received a ridiculous quotation. I got 4 other quotes from competitors, all of which were around half the price and using better quality boilers (Vaillant). Used Berkshire Heating Solutions instead who did a wonderful job.

Horrendous. Sent the wrong type of engineer, without experience on an oil boiler. All that needed fixing was a two port value, subsequently broke entire system. Hung around for three hours whilst I was working, so the company attempted to charge my account AGAIN for the pleasure of breaking the system, despite me not signing out the job as completed. Absolutely fraudulent. Am currently in a COLD house, waiting for another company on an emergency call out to fix it. Avoid at all costs.

They visited my elderly mum and essentially left her with the belief that the only solution was a full replacement costing £4000, in the end we took opinion and repaired the boiler and replaced a couple of parts for a total £450 including labour. I would like to believe that this was a oversight, but I am deeply concerned for Old people who trust them to offer the best and right advise.

The gas engineer was booked to attend in the morning and cancelled at 11:46. Booked to attend in the afternoon and cancelled at 16:52. Refuse to say if they could attend the following (working) day. It is December, and I have no heating or hot water! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Plumbing Force, Forcibly steal your money. I found Plumbing Force using Google. I told the woman on the phone I needed a plumber to come and tell me if a dishwasher could be installed. She said it would be a minimum of 1 HOUR'S WORK at £118 and that she would email me the T&Cs. She did not e-mail me the T&Cs. The plumber turned up with a bad attitude and was so rude and disrespectful, I told him to leave within 2 minutes. He clearly did not want to be here, and seemed completely clueless as to why he was here. He said: 'you might as well let me do the work, your gonna get charged anyway mate'. He made £118 in two minutes for no work. Not a bad scam. The narrative on his invoice is complete lies. I called and made a complaint and requested a refund and was told that they sent me a text message (T&Cs), which I never received. I said that on the phone I was told they would be emailed, but I never received them. Anyway, I didn't agree to their T&Cs. Ridiculous to suggest they were agreed. That is clearly what they do, they will tell you, you have agreed things that you did not. That way they make a quick £118 a time. Pretty good con or is it Plumbing Force just using Force. This is a scam in my opinion. What they are claiming is essentially a call-out charge (disguised as a minimum hour's work). They take your pre-payment credit card details in advance (do not give them your card details in advance) and they will take the payment of £118 without your consent, even if no work is done. They also record phone calls but do not tell you that they are recording your phone calls in advance. What reputable company does that? I doubt they are conplying with Data Protection laws. Since providing them with my mobile number, I have received numerous prank calls. They deny leaking my number. In my opinion, this is a very dodgy company that should be investigated by Trading Standards and the ICO. I bet they have made a mint with this £118 a time call out charge scam. They say they have been trading for 10 years, but are not even CIPHE (Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering) accredited. "Anyone working on just pipework such as fitting bathrooms, sinks, drainage or taps does not need to be registered or accredited to any standard, however it is highly recommended that at the very least they are CIPHE Accredited, as this ensures that they follow a code of professional standards and protects you the customer should you have any cause for concern after the work has been carried out." Look at all the other 1 star reviews recently. I will claim my money back via my credit card dispute resolution process. Daylight robbery this is.

We reported a boiler error F2,F3,L1 with the company Plumbingforce. A technician initially advised replacing the fan to sort the problem. Charge: Inspection + New fan for a total of £607.02. However, an hour later, the problem persisted. Upon reaching out to the company due to the one-year warranty, the technician revisited, suggesting a different issue and said it could be something else which he didn’t know unless he fully assess, an additional 6 hours of inspection at £144/hour . We contacted customer service and they declined responsibility. Now, we're without a boiler, facing a cost of = £607.02 + Visit 15 minutes: £144 Total : -£751.02.

Absolutely disgusting, The only good part of the experience was the knowledge and expertise of the fitter. The office and sales team are horrific. Basically I was in the unfortunate position of having a broken boiler, no heating or hot water. Desperate, with a family, I went online and plumbingforce quoted me for the work. At the time I didn’t have the time or luxury to research quotes, no heating and water with a family. They quoted me £3500. Desperate, I accepted. After, I was concerned, so I asked them repeatedly for a breakdown of the cost. They cannot provide this, despite multiple asks. After my research I found the model of boiler for £1100, on screwfix. This means that for 6hrs work I was charged the best part of £2500 labour!! No wonder they can’t provide a breakdown!! Please, please, take a few moments to shop around. Even if you were desperate like I was.

Very bad experience, unreliable, deceiving company took my money from my credit card without no work being done is considered fraud. Didn't think Simon was a plumber or even a handyperson. He was supposed to repair the shower tap that was agreed with them, and instead was so disrespectful and unprofessional helped himself to my property without asking and I could have died there on the spot, sat on the bath, then slammed the toilet seat lid to sit down, placed his bag in my sink to contaminate it and started opening and closing the utility door. His behaviour was appalling that I could have freaked out there and then, I was so shocked I was just speechless. The cheek for the company to charge me for the parking for him and kept calling me several times for directions and parking which means he owes me £200 for the advice I provided prior to the appointment. Caution, do not give your card details to anyone and get someone who will give you a free quote, use B&Q and other DIY stores that will have services when you purchase something.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! This company charged me £500 and did not resolve the issue and then tried to charge another call out fee and then said I needed a new boiler. British Gas repaired it quickly - and much more cheaply and said it was excellent practically new boiler and advised me to report company which I am doing so now.

If you are reading this, before booking them, think of yourself as very lucky as you probably haven't spent any money yet. And whatever you do, don't, and definitely do not give them your credit card details. If, like us, you are £1,500 down the tubes and still have a broken toilet, then I commiserate with you - what can we do to put cowboys like this out of business? And the Customer Service Manager of the Year award goes to Michelle Docherty/ Dougherty and her able assistant Mr Richard Head. What a piece of work she is - proudly bragged that she has been disservicing customers for 12 years!!! Interestingly they remarkably have a 3.8 rating out of 5.... but if you read most of the reviews a lot of the 1's say they would rather have given 0... so I suspect that score should be low 2's.... absolutely atrocious.

A rip off! They are quick to take your bank details after booking on the phone. Engineer came to install gas cooker but decided not have the work carried out due to the extra cost for fitting etc. Engineer was only there for a few minutes and got charged a ridiculous call out fee of £ 106! Totally unacceptable! Don't use them!

I called PlumbingForce about the installation of a gas cooker. I phoned on the Friday afternoon and was offered an appointment between 9-1 the next day. I was advised of the £99 hourly rate when I called and also the charge for extra parts if needed. I was contacted in the morning to say that the engineer was running late and they wanted to check that someone would still be home ( this wasn’t a problem as I was home all day) I was contacted again at 4.30 to tell me the name of the engineer and an expected arrival time. He arrived within the next hour and was efficient and friendly throughout. The job was done and finished within 45 minutes. Communication and conduct was good throughout and also reasonably priced. I would recommend this company.

Challenging as not quite a scam but very much taking the proverbial. Arrived late after booking. Told one story then tried to charge excessive prices to fix an issue they said was simple. I’ll fall short of saying they are disingenuous but their honesty leaves a lot to be desired. Avoid and go local

Abolutely terrible. Engineer switched off our boiler during freezing weather and promised would be back first thing the following morning. After multiple calls on our part we finally arranged for the engineer to revisit 48 hours later. Incredibly rude, patronising customer service agent (Michelle). Constant promises to call or send things, which never materialise. Avoid this company like the plague

Worse company ! The engineer is a fraud Did not properly check and made incorrect diagnosis of the issue misleading me to agree on replacing the entire panel for the boiler. Not answering relevant questions, being dismissive . I finally did not commision them And guess what another engineer did the job in 10 min without needing to replace the panel of the boiler . My complaint is still not handled
