“Graphic Design Course was nothing but dissapointing. I had problems with certain parts of Adobe InDesign. The so called online help is beyond useless. I spent two hours and nobody could help me. A complete joke when they told me they could not access the course. This issue was never rectified. The tutorials are boring and nothing I could not have learned on YouTube. There is no one to help in the so called Training Centre that can answer questions relating to the course I was studying. No books provided. A complete rip off course for the expensive fee I paid. They also put the wrong course title on one of my collected certificates, they couldn't even get that right. I will never use Pitman ever again.”

“Frankly, I agree with some of the negative comments that have been made here by other trainees. I am currently doing a Pitman Office Skills Diploma course. My local training centre was in Canterbury. Unfortunately the office recently been closed . I received no information that the centre had been closed. I now have to go to the one in Maidstone, which means for me a much longer train journey to get there. Luckly, most of my course i can do online and even the exams too can be done remotely. The course itself iis quite comprehensive and challenging but the staff at the Canterbury centre were very helpful. It is quite expensive my course having paid thousands for it. It does feel at times that Pitman"s Training is just a money making enterprise. That the course fees are too high for the actual training you do get. Though overal I do recommend Pitman Training to anybody who wants a new career.”

“They cancelled my training in middle of it,no support, no money. Dont recommend, just feel hopeless to sort the issue with them and wasted couple of thousands pounds!!”

“In 2021 I was made redundant from a position I had held for almost thirty years. At this point, I was considering a career change and in early 2022 Career Wales informed me of the REACT scheme. I was given a number of training providers to consider. I researched these and called their relevant offices. The call to Pitman Office in Cardiff was particularly memorable as I spoke to a very helpful lady called Hazia. She was very friendly and displayed genuine interest whilst listening to what training I wanted to undertake and discussed the courses that would help me achieve my goals. This was not my experience with the other training providers and I immediately decided to learn with Pitman even though they were the furthest away of all the training providers I contacted. I chose to enroll on ICDL, Book-Keeping Transactions & Controls 1, and Sage 50 accounts. I was able to complete a large part of the required study at home. The courses were interesting and well set out with the opportunity to take a practice test before the validation test was attempted. For the parts of the training that required I attend the center in Cardiff, I was always made very welcome by the team and also had a magnificent view of Cardiff Castle. Here I met Phil the Centre Manager who was my main support throughout my time with Pitman Cardiff. He was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, kind, and always happy to help. The team at Pitman Cardiff are fantastic. Their positivity gives the center a great energy and I honestly cannot recommend them all highly enough. So good was my experience it gave me a thirst for knowledge and the courage to enroll on a degree course.”

“I studied in the Clare training centre. I cannot recommend it enough. The staff and tutors were incredible. Everything was laid out excellently and very easy to access. The support and help is exceptional”

“ALL PITMAN BRANDS ARE BRANCHES AND THEY DONT CARE EVEN BRANCHES DON'T CARE, LOST OF INCOMPETENT PEOPLE, A POLISH WOMAN DID NOT EVEN HAVE A WAY TO SPEAK AND INTIMIDATING WITH MY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE COURSE. THE BRAND SELL THE BRAND BUT NOT QUALITY, I WENT OFF AND PAY LESS AND SAME KNOWLEDGE AND MY KNOWLEDGE IS BETTER THAN PAY ANY ANY BRAND FROM PITMAN TRAINING NEVER PAY THE MONEY THEY ASK, GOO FOR OTHER AND SAME KNOWLEDGE!!!! FROM £500 ONE SINGLE COURSE EXCEL TO £50 AND SAME CONTENT. F.OFF!!”

“I am trying to find out about lost certificates and their replacements. On the chat response on your website - I have been promised three times that I will be phoned or emailed back within 24 hours. I am quite desperate now as I have not received any response from anyone in this last month. What is a way forward in obtaining lost certificates. Cambridge were able to assist me on the website immediately and for a small charge.”

“Having been made redundant from my job at a local newspaper in September 2020 as a result of COVID, I contacted React Wales, who suggested I have a look at Pitman courses. I had a look at what they offered, and settled on 'Working in the Legal Environment' and 'Office Skills' (Microsoft Word refresher course) to further enhance my chances of finding future employment. I live in Pembrokeshire, and the closest branch to me is Swansea. I travelled up there on the first day by train as I don't drive. Nichola and David made me feel very welcome and we discussed in full what I needed and they agreed the way forwards was the courses I had chosen. Due to the distance I would have to travel each day, the limited time I'd have in the office (due to limitations on train times) and the expense, PLUS with another lockdown looming, Nichola and David were happy for me to continue the courses at home via online. The courses were downloaded to my computer and I could spend each day going through them. The support I received was fantastic, if there was a problem, Nichola or David were there at the end of the phone to help me through. I was able to complete the tests at home too. The only course I had to go back to the office for was the Audio Typing course, which I have now done, since relaxation in the lockdown rules. The office is ideally situated in the centre of Swansea, and virtually right outside the train station doors which makes it ideal for me as I have mobility issues. I have passed all the Modules so far, and am awaiting the results of my Audio Typing. I would thoroughly recommend anyone who has been made redundant in Wales, to contact React for funding and to look at the Pitman courses. Such a wide variety to choose from, excellent support all around and the courses are clear and straightforward.”

“Went all bad with Pitman Training Watford 2019 October paid in full for AAT level 3 + Excel 2013 + Sage 50 . Asking money back for courses that I haven’t start at September 2020 seeing my financial difficulties and pandemic situation no refund was accepted for 2000£ paid . It was told that it was paid an upfront but this doesn’t exist the trader HCPS Training Watford should’ve been paid all the amount at the date of enrolment in AAT course October 2019 . I don’t know where the money are apparently HCPS didn’t bought the course but don’t want to give the money back . Hopefully the court it’s gone decide justice it’s gone be done.”

“Took a course for my employee. Contact and support has been horrific from the outset. The woman at Worcester branch is impossible to talk to, talks over you and is in constant denial. My employee did three modules, completed the fourth and had no test paper. We then had the covid pandemic and has sent many emails about completing the course but the branch will not accommodate her. All she wants is the test paper. I will be looking elsewhere for all of my employees courses. I would not go to Pitman again purely from the service given by Worcester. Avoid!!”
