I'm still waiting for the item. I didn't realise it was coming from Ireland and it's now being held in the UK at a processing centre. The main address written on the website is in Coventry.

Shocking experience. I was suggested to buy refurbished Q -Tech paint spray machine Q-P025. £200 cheaper than a new one I was told. In fact that was just £90 cheaper than a new one in Dulux Decorator Centre. "Paint Spray Tools" technician has showed how to use the machine, said no lubricate needed for that machine as it is so advanced. If I would want I could do oil once a week as this would not harm the machine. Cleaning of the machine was showed as to remove main filter cover and start the machine, let water out to run all directions ! The instruction DVD was taken off my hands saying that I do not need it as it will confuse me. I was told that I do not need to worry if paint is old and has got some flakes or loose dry bits as the machine has got so many filters that it would not harm packing. The machine was faulty and sprayed clouds of paint instead of steady flow of paint. After first spray all floor was covered with thick layer of paint. Spraying took ages and was making sand paper like surface everywhere. The front of the machine was getting very hot. The technician suggested to experiment as he did not know the reason for that problem. He gave other spray nozzle which made very little difference. We were suggested do not thin down the paint, change small grade filters to big ones to make paint go free through the system. When visiting the workshop again, the main filter was removed completely and not given back. We also were told that we are too fussy and wasting expensive time. So £10 cash was paid to keep technician happy. Though technician was saying that he would do service for cash much cheaper. We had impression that he wanted to ruin the machine completely so he could do services for cash. The machine was brought back and a new one Q -tech Q-P025 was purchased from Dulux Decorator Centre, Milton Keynes. Dulux sales assistant said immediately what was the problem with that refurbished machine. "Paint spray Tools " may call for advice from Dulux in Milton Keynes as they are trained by Graco and seems to know much more about spray machines . There was just one thing I have improved on Q-tech : that was change of spray nozzle to old one from old Titan 440 i. Which made Q -tech a superb spray machine.

Hi Raymond, We can only apologise for the experience you've had with our company. As you can see by the many 5 star reviews, this is not how we operate and nearly all our customers are extremely happy with the service we provide. The 'refurbished' sprayer that you purchased was sent to us from Q-Tech HQ in Dublin after they replaced a faulty electrical board, tested it and then sold it on to us at a lower price. The machine you purchased had only been used once in the past because of an immediate power fault and barely had a spec of paint on it. We can only apologise it didn't work as expected and your money was refunded in full without hesitation once requested. - - - Sadly this is our only bad review so we'd like to try and explain our side of the story a little more: Once purchased, the customer returned the next day with the item to say it wasn't spraying correctly, which we looked into, not a problem at all - We sold the item with a full warranty and expect it to work out of the box the same as the customer so have no issues in working to resolve the issue. Because he was desperate to get on with the job that day and we had no alternative machines available immediately to replace it with, we agreed with the customer to find a 'quick fix' to allow him to get back to work. By removing the manifold filter (which is after the packing kit so no damage would have been incurred) this helped increase the flow of paint and resolved the 'sandpaper' finish he said was occurring with the paint that was being sprayed. The technician and the customer both tested the machine together and as far as I am aware, left with the machine content that it had resolved the issue enough to at least allow the customer to finish the days work until we could find a better solution. He then called the following day to say he still was not happy with machine and would like to pay the difference to upgrade to a brand new one. Given the problems he'd had from the off, I was quite happy to do this and we agreed on the difference to be paid. Seeing as he wasn't working too far away, I said pop the machine back and we'll get a brand new one out ASAP. The machine was returned to us completely covered in thick, dry paint and looked as though it had received more paint than the walls. Given we had already promised to upgrade and the customer was well within his rights to ask for it, we stuck to our word without kicking up a fuss and contacted the customer within a few hours about payment of the difference to upgrade to a brand new model. He informed us he had already purchased one elsewhere and would now prefer a full refund. Whilst this wasn't ideal as we had already ordered his new machine in, we accepted this, refunded his money in full and left things there. This is the first we've heard from him since he asked for a refund. As with all businesses it's inevitable that things do go wrong from time to time, especially with complex machinery. On this occasion we done our best to help in a very short space of time but unfortunately wasn't given a full opportunity to rectify the issue.
