“Beautiful coffee and you can control when you want to receive your order if you have too much just delay your next order by a week or two.”

“The coffee is very good for the price point, compared to the bags available in cafes. It's great to have a weekly delivery as it means I never get caught short. The only draw back is that you don't get to choose the roast like you would in a shop, but the quality is generally high so it's usually a pleasant surprise.”

“Excellent coffee, quick and prompt delivery. Coffee smells great and for how often I drink good coffee this is super convenient, i.e. I buy other coffee as well, but I use Pact's nicer coffee in alternation.”

“Today is two years since I started looking for a decent coffee as I was missing my daily cup from work (McDonald’s!) Someone recommended Pact and I sent for my first pack. Two years on and I’m still as happy as ever with my coffee. I drink mine strong and black and struggled to find anything from the supermarket to reach my expectations. Pact does. And the variety of coffees is fabulous. I have recommended them to lots and lots of friends. My coffee kit comes on holiday with me and even on days out in my van! If you’re looking for a decent cup of coffee that tastes fresh ground, look no further.”

“Easy to set up a subscription and you get a great variety of amazing coffee. Haven’t had one I don’t like yet, easy to update your subscription if need be. But why would you want to? Keep it up please”

“Only had two so far, but both absolutely delicious. Delivery is quick and everything is reasonably priced. Like having a subscription so I get things I might not necessarily pick but an excited to try.”

“Love the coffee just wish the packing were better - vacuum sealed bags arrived with considerable amount of coffee above the self-seal so it’s either lost on opening or clogs the self-seal which then doesn’t work.”

“My partner likes a coffee! Made the decision to try this coffee. It's a thumbs up! Great coffee, you can select your coffee plan to suit you: roast, grind size, find out the origin of coffee and who its grown by....what's not to like...coffee tastes GREAT and smells divine. Arrives promptly and customer service is good.”

“Very efficient service and good communication about my orders. My only quibble is that when trying different beans as part of a regular plan, a 250g packet isn't that much when allowing for dialling-in the machine to the new beans. Some of the beans I have had have been far easier to dial-in than others, and there is also some variability from batch to batch of the same beans. Granted, some of this is due to me being new to home barista coffee making, but I'd expect greater consistency.”

“Nice enough coffee, but nothing special and not worth the price. Especially now they are increasing it by £1 per bag. Will be cancelling my subscription.”

Hi there, Thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear our price increase isn’t something you’re on board with and that you don't feel it is shown in the taste of the coffee. We'd be more than happy to discuss brewing tips and techniques with you incase there's anything we can do to help! We fully appreciate the price increase is disappointing news to some of our Customers, but we remain steadfast in our commitment to paying farmers the premium prices they deserve for producing speciality coffee. Because the farmers have less coffee to sell, the end result is most farmers earning far less than usual. For this reason, we will need to increase our prices on a small scale in the coming months, and this isn't something we can avoid or delay any further. Unfortunately, in the last year coffee growing countries have experienced unexpected weather conditions, and this has had a huge impact on the growing and production of coffee. If you’d like to read more, please see our Blog post here. Finally, we wanted to highlight that delivery will continue to be free. We hope this helps explain further, and hope to see you at some point in the future!

Hi there, thank you for leaving a review of Pact’s coffee! We’re sorry to hear that you don't feel our coffee is worth the price compared to what you can get in supermarkets, and I'm happy to explain why our coffee costs a bit more. Naturally we do hope you enjoy the quality of the coffee but understand its not always to everyones taste - the cost per bag of our coffee comes from its specialty-grade quality, the care taken in roasting and processing it, and the care taken by the farmers to produce this fantastic crop! Every bag of coffee delivered to your door goes to ensuring that the farmers get a great wage for their work, from House coffee through to Micro-lot. Unlike supermarkets who buy commodity coffee, we buy speciality coffee via Direct Trade with our suppliers. We pay farmers at least 25% above the Fairtrade base rate and last year we paid on average 65% above Fairtrade base rate. This is based on the average price per lb that we paid in 2020 of $2.32 vs. the Fairtrade base rate of $1.40. And this means we're able to support farmers around the world more than we've done before to actually make a profit so they can build sustainable futures for their farms and families. We hope that by giving farmers a decent price for their beans, they can be paid their worth and reinvest into their farms and community. We really do see this make an impact, and so with each coffee you receive, we let you know what difference Pact has made to the people who grew the coffee. As a result of this, and us delivering fresh coffee to your door at your convenience, we appreciate it's a bit more pricey than supermarket coffee, but we think the difference speaks for itself! “I was sent an e-mail gift voucher but it must have gone to spam, so I wasn't aware of it. My friend asked me (after 1 year) if had enjoyed it, and was going to send me another. I contacted customer services and they re-sent the same code but it had expired by a couple of weeks. Pact wouldn't honour it or provide a new one. Pity, as I probably would have signed up for a recurring order.”
