“Great coffee. I’m getting a different one each month. Am on my 3rd. All very different characters. It’s good to learn about the farms and who it is made by. The order can easily be delayed by responding to an email sent by pact if one batch is not yet finished meaning it is roasted, packed and sent when you need it.”

“Delighted with Pact as they are an ethical company, B Corp certified, with a very flexible offering, administered through a user friendly web interface. The pricing is sensible, not cheap but good fair value for a sustainable offering that ensure the entire supply chain wins. ...and of course a great choice of coffees to meet all our different preferences. Well done Pact.”

“I like the coffee but a little expensive to recommend to friends. Can buy acceptable equivalent in Waitrose for half the price”

Hi Ian, Thanks for your review! We're really glad to hear you've enjoyed the coffee so far - and hope we can explain a little more about our prices. We are committed to paying farmers the 'Pact Premium' prices they deserve for producing speciality coffee. It's the right thing to do, and it ensures we continue to secure the very best beans in the crop to bring to you, whilst keeping the relationships we have developed over the years strong. Closer to home, we're facing inflationary pressure, as well as higher shipping costs (to bring coffee from origin to our roastery), higher postage and packaging costs (whilst keeping postage free for our customers), and a rise in the price of the energy needed to roast our precious beans. For these reasons, the decision to increase our prices wasn’t something we could avoid or delay any further. We aim for 5-star service every time, so we will be contacting you to put things right, but if there is anything that can be improved please let us know at ahoy@pactcoffee.com or over the phone on 0203 095 3975 and we will be more than happy to help. “Fresh coffee roasted only 1 day previous to be sent, great quality. The process for choosing coffee is great, with recommended grind size for your brew method. Then the good choice of coffee for you to choose every month, which is also delivered with a card informing you of the source of the coffee and it tells you the story of the farmer.”

“Great coffee, that is ethically and environmentally sourced. The price reflects this, as it is a little more expensive than store coffee. However, I think it's worth it. Shipping is quick and free, with lots of choices for different coffee tastes and grinds.”

“I think the concept is great, the delivery is super fast and everything is high quality and fresh, it might be a bit expensive for me but that's what you expect from speciality coffee, I have and will continue to recommend it to friends :)”

We hope that the quality of the coffee speaks for itself - the cost per bag of our coffee comes from its specialty-grade quality, the care taken in roasting and processing it, and the care taken by the farmers to produce this fantastic crop! Hi Sarah, Thanks for your review and we're glad to hear everything's going well so far. To expand a bit on the recycling query you had, the composite foil/paper bags we currently use for our coffee are recyclable in some areas, but it's always best to check with your local council about this. We are very aware they're not easily recyclable at the moment, unfortunately as it stands to retain the coffees freshness and quality we're not able to offer any alternatives for packaging or sending your coffee just at the moment but rest assured, we are trying hard to find a solution!
