Looking at your online site for craft items I was very shocked at the ridiculously high prices .£19.99 for a very average embroidery kit ... £80 for some tweed fabric £3.99 for a knitting pattern +postage .... How on earth do you justify your pricing? Presentation is awful and amateurish ...

Unfortunately the online store is administered really badly. Fragile items are only marked as fragile underneath the exterior Oxfam branded packaging, so the post office have no idea things are fragile and items arrive broken. On more than one occasion I've received items that are a totally different size to what they're described online as (eg. an item that arrived clearly said in the label it was XS but had been described online as a medium, it's like Oxfam want to waste everyone's time!) Often you will purchase an item online and payment is taken, but then you get an email a week or so later from the store saying unfortunately they can't find the item and they offer you a refund. Unfortunately the central Oxfam HQ are inept at calculating refunds. If you've used a voucher code discount on an order then want to return just one item from it they will deduct the full order's discount from your item, they don't seem to understand why that's wrong. Just do some basic maths and you'll figure out the problem, their dodgy logic will mean customers end up owing Oxfam money if they want to return one item from a multi item order where a discount applied...make it make sense. I liked shopping there in the past because it's helping charity and there are some good items, but unfortunately I've had so many problems with different orders that I don't recommend it to anyone anymore.

I will never buy or give goods to oxfam again over their decision over women's rights and what you said about JK Rowling

You have things in your basket to buy and they are removed as someone has got them out of your basket. Also they don't update the items that are sold quick enough. Won't be going on there again as a waste if time. I also wonder how it is that an item can be sold within seconds of being loaded on. A mate telling a mate I wonder?

At the start of December,I oredered 2 gift cards for my nieces. I kept phoni g to ask where the gift cards were, in the post they kept telling me! The gift cards never arrived till the 22nd of December. By which time I was too late to post them to Edinburgh in time for xmas. When I received the gif cards, my address was in tiny print at the right hand corner, which was where the stamp goes. I had paid £50 for the two gift cards and I would expect a better service. We certainly won't be using oxfam again.

Very fast delivery. Arrived with 2 days. Beautiful coat which wasn't too expensive either. Highly recommend!

Usually over-costed, sometimes massively so. A fairly good selection, with a few gems if you trawl all the way through, but once you have found them it takes ages for more to appear. Gave it three stars because of the gems, but really a 2 overall.

What is happening to your website shop. Once again I am unable to get to the check out stage. There seems to be a fault again on this website. I have telephoned and emailed, but no member of staff seems to know why this happening. It's shame, because I have tried to spend £84.00. I wish someone would explain, or is it just me?

Ordered a coat. They were unable to dispatch due to illness of one staff member at local shop. Very strange. First time I found something other than M&S tatt and they can’t get it to me. Very disappointed

Oxfam has a serious issue with their apparent disinterest in accurately describing items online. I see I am the second customer to complain about serious inaccuracies in item descriptions, resulting in either overpaying for an item or disappointment on arrival - or both. I bought a book described as having a "handwritten note" from the author and, on receipt, the "handwritten" note was actually a photocopy of the original note to the recipient of the book. Anyone can tell the difference between a photocopy and a handwritten, original, letter, and so I pose the question of whether the description was fraudulent - as it overinflated the price asked for the book. Oxfam simply suggested I return the book to them. As it is a rare item to find, I chose to retain it, but they refused to offer any reduction or reimbursement - even as a goodwill gesture. I will not use their service again, and will actively recommend others to be mindful or their misleading item descriptions.

When I buy items from a charity shop I always have a mindset that it is a donation , and I have something to wear / use in return. Then again I have been buying pre-used clothes for many years , as well as new. To me the charity and their work come first and so I don't mind paying a little extra and Oxfam's prices can be rather high. I have recently purchased 3 items. Two were (genuine) vintage , the other a fairly modern , but originally very expensive dress, and all in super condition . I am delighted and they were delivered within four days of my order. I do think it's a shame that there does not appear to be much space for detailed descriptions , or photos . However returns are free if what you receive isn't quite what you want. If you are not interested in supporting charitable organisations , but just looking for a bargain , then stick to the high street sales.

Poor descriptions of items - I bought two Karen Millen dresses recently both were described as in 'very good condition', neither were in the described condition, and obvious flaws were not noted. One dress had a minor fault a rip to the lining and also areas where the stitching was stretched, but the other a satin long cocktail dress arrived dirty and stained, it had obvious stains like mud as a splash back up the back and water stains were the colour had run in big blobs on the front and back and also loose stitches to the neckline detailing. I would not recommend buying from them, as garments are clearly not inspected properly. The only positive element of purchasing was there prompt dispatch. Unfortunately I did not get round to returning them my fault I readily admit, they do offer returns.
