Unbelievably ignorant of client needs. Refuse to send IT someone to fix the problems foisted on disabled seniors after months if incompetent mish mash drivel over phone Don't intend to refund six months backpay for not delivering contract promises. Cannot answer any questions raised why no internet connect when initially there was a connect. Always talking to the staff without power and authority without going up to management to solve easy issues. This has a scam element to their spurious outfit for not refunding long overdue return bill payments. Not sending IT personnel to fix problems. Insist on high tech. Instructions over phone that were incorrect by dozens of staff individuals. Not a clue. Talked in circles for months with huge turnover of ill informed bottom feeders told to hold off customers wanting their money back or it most certainly seems that way. Origin Broadband you have a rating minus 0 from me. It's about time you are investigated as it is apparent you have seriously damaged everyone OB have flexed their muscles with. Read others shocking reviews not yours. It is catastrophic and you should not be allowed to get away with your massive deceptions.

I have had a letter off this place saying my contract due for renewal which is odd as I have been with sky for years !! I checked with sky my contract has not changed so seems to me this is a scam ? Has anyone else had the same thing happen

Do not deal with this company recently asked for a 5g service to be done at my home I told them I didn't want nbn so they send me a nbn box rang them it was wrong I couldn't use this so then they go on saying I have to pay so I did then I get knocked back coz they couldn't provide me with my service so I asked for a refund they only gave me not even half a refund they are liyers and like to scam people I want all of my money back you are a bunch of tosses go else were people origin are incompetent not only that they give ur information to other sectors in origin had phone calls from origin energy I've never had electricity through these Muppets yet they ring me 2 days after joining with them saying mu bill was late go away origin your idiots

They blamed openreach for poor service then I switched provider at the end of my “contract” and it’s all sorted. Operators are rude and don’t know their own so T&C’s and therefore provide you with false, contradictory information. There’s clearly a lot of frustration as you can hear other operators shouting on calls (presumably at clients) in the background. Their email comms are also deceptive and misleading. They conveniently can’t find emails sent to them and as non-UK agents don’t seem to understand basic english phrases. Avoid if you don’t want to get fleeced or endure frustrating calls with long holds! I’ve since switched and my line is better and happily deal with friendly, UK-based agents.

I wish I could rate zero to. I've only been with them for a month and the drop outs are daily. I am on the phone to them nearly every day. They organised an NBN tech to come to my home today who did not arrive and I wasn't advised. So waited home for nothing. Have just spent 40 minutes on the phone to get today's problem fixed and was told to monitor for 24 hours and call back with any issues and would then have the issue raised back to NBN.....what the hell for!!! I'm now going to call a recommended provider and won't be paying any outstanding money as I'm not paying for service I haven't received.....don't bother save yourself a lot of stress and frustration

Broadband frequently cut out. Reported, no response. Cancelled, paid final bill. told it would take a month. Received an email saying I still owed money. Disputed it, still no response. Terrible service all around, avoid at all costs.

Wish I could give this company 0 stars. Their disgusting service from staff that lie to you doesn’t deserve any stars. Quick to take your money but then don’t deliver what you ask for. Called 6 weeks before changing address and was told that I’m too early. Phone again 3 weeks before changing and now I’m too late to get my requested date. Speak to the Team leader, Daniel, who was to review call recordings and call me back at 4pm the next day and didn’t bother to. I’ve lost count of all my numerous 40 minute calls to them and still my problem is unresolved. I would cancel - but there’s an early cancellation fee.

The worst experience trying to connect with Origin Broadband. They say they're going to do something but never does it. Internet connection and sending of the modem took 3 weeks than the original date they promised. Then I went to cancel because I had had enough of they're incompetence and they had the audicity to charge me for the internet that I didn't even end up using. And now I have to go through endlss 50 minutes hold time phone calls trying to get my damn refund sorted. Whole experience was a nightmare and this company needs to be taken off the market immediately. Wasting customers time and money to the point where it's almost a crime. It really is shocking that a service providing company can be this hopeless.

Cannot believe we live in a communications era which has such a company like Origin. The customer service is non existent, no updates to ongoing problems, no completion dates nothing. When asked to escalate just told nothing further could be done, the manager would just say the say thing. We have had months of awful broadband connections dropping, slow speeds, no connection at all. Avoid at all costs.

My service was suspended because my provider has changed company three times, cancelling my direct debit. I paid £100 to get my services back on and was promised it would be on that evening, and at latest within twenty-four hours. I am still waiting to be reconnected three days later.

Was a SSE customer , Origin should come with a health warning, couldn't get any answer on phone and was No 1 on list for 1hour later I was back to No2 gave up and contacted them by E Mail and told them I was leaving and E Mail reply said that leaving Department was nothing to do with them and I was to phone the number that they rarely answer, very stressful and don't know where there sky high charges, it took me months to get rid

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! This company are too comfortable leaving vulnerable elderly customers cut off from phone lines, internet & by consequence care link alarms. Customer service is awful & they just respond robotically with “we will update you”. No update, no service & vulnerable people cut off! DO NOT USE - could not be worse. We are switching providers immediately. Shame on you Origin !!!

You cant rate a business thats fails every time I would personally rate any company that answers to its critics as a company worth dealing with. You only have to read the response or responses, in this case nil, from Origin to understand what sort of company this is. A company that doesn't give a toss about any of its customers. Overseas call centers are in place to keep their cost down, no direct company emails, the customer complaint email never gets addressed, the list goes on and on. As everyone else has endorsed on here, stay clear of them, dont enter into any contract with them as you'll have little or no recourse when it comes to getting out of it. I think those who favoured a positive outcome from Origin are clearly those who are linked to the company in some way For those of you who dont know what Origin stands for, allow me to enlighten you all. O. Obdurate R. Rapacious I. Incapable G. Grossly mismanaged I. Incompetent N. Neglectful

It's been horrible, my 88year old nan had her phone line through origin (part of SSE) then she wanted broadband, to chat with her friends online. It's taken 2 months of me and my brother phoning. She had internet for 2 days and this morning she has had no dialing tone on her landline. I was on the phone to them for over 3 hours. Still no landline. They just keep fobing me off from one service to another. Some of there staff where really rude. None of them are capable of fixing the issue. So now my poor nan has no internet and no landline.

Appalling to say the least. Send an email, its tells you to call them. South African based call centre even though their HD is based out of Salford. OB Telecom Ltd trading as Origin Broadband Soapworks, Ordsall Lane, Salford, United Kingdom, M5 3TT. Complaint after complaint to them that clearly falls on deaf ears. My mother is 91, reduced to tears by these fools. I have permission to act on her behalf. Get your fingers out Origin, listen to your customers and their complaints and stop bullying. My mother never signed or committed to a contract with you. Your sales team took advantage of an elderly lady in the later years of her life. Disgraceful
