“Compost bag came without any instructions on how to use. In itself, it doesn't seem possible that comppost could result. I did post a query on the website but it was not answered.”

“I ordered a beehive composter early January to be informed that it was unavailable until the end of January.This took 3 phone calls from end of Jan being told same old story that the wood was not available until I decided to cancel.It was delivered 3 days later but the lid was very rough one side because it had not been sanded .A piece of string held the lid when open!!!”

“Have used them on 3 occasions and in each case the service has been extremely slow. In all cases it took a couple of weeks or longer for the items to arrive. And although the final products are good quality the promised delivery dates were never met and I had to email them a number of times to check orders were going to be shipped on the dates they had promised.”

“The wormery arrived within a couple of days which was good, but I deferred delivery of the worms which was a big mistake. I emailed on 20th December 2016 asking for the worms to be delivered and hoping in time for xmas, but here we are at the 13 Jan 2017 and I still don't have them. This was a xmas present for my wife which has gone very sour. I had a few email exchanges to try to sort it out but email support was poor and didn't seem to really care, to the point where they stopped replying and I had to phone through my concerns. I've now been told they will be with me tomorrow, so fingers crossed.”

“Ordered a purple 110L water butt.. A week alter it had not showed up. When contacted they said out of stock and no date for renew stock. They could have said no stock when placing order or let me know out of stock and not left me to chase”

“The product is grossly overpriced for the quality of the product , and the price of the filter gauze is really beyond belief, I think you have a good idea but need to cut price or beef up the quality of plastic used.”

“I ordered a water butt which arrived shortly after however the butt and the lid were damaged (it had obviously fallen on its side). I reported it to you and I sent you a photograph of the damage, and an offer was made to send a new one, however after two weeks or so I am still waiting. Why is this ?”

“The item I purchased from Original Organics (400 l composter) was not fit for purpose and was honestly rubbish and is now thrown away at the local re-cycling centre. It also arrived damaged in several places and Original Organics were very quick to refund my payment - so no problems with them - in fact they were very helpful and courteous.”

“The water butt that I ordered arrived without the stand, and with the top cracked. When I phoned Customer Services, the lady was very helpful and promised to get me the replacement items sent asap. If they do arrive very soon, then obviously the rating would be better.”

“My order was incomplete. One of the 3 items I ordered was not included in the parcel sent to me. There was a hand written note stating that the item was out of stock and would be sent separately but with no estimate of when this would be. Payment was taken for the full amount. I do not believe it should have been possible to order an out of stock item, and I certainly don't believe that payment should have been taken for an out of stock item.”

“I bought some transparent hose to connect my downpipe to my water butt. The hose is quite expensive, however it is already leaking in two places and I am going to have to replace it with something more robust.”

“The rating is for the product and not the service. I purchased Gutter Mate gutter mesh with clips. The clips are very fiddly and extremely sharp - difficult to clip on when high up and 3 cuts to 1 finger!!!”

“We paid for oak water butt and was then told that it was out of stock and could we order alternative. I emailed to say that we'd rather wait For them to receive more stock. I got no reply so I rang and left message to ring me as I was concerned that they were holding £100 and not responding to me. Response few days later to say stock should be months time. We then got email month later to say water butt was on its way... yipee Then few days later one saying it was out of stock! Finally spoke to someone who said ' Sorry I pressed the wrong reponse button in error.. and butt should be with us that week. Yes it did finally arrive after much messing about and I never really knew why.......”
