I have never seen so unreliable delivery. I have never received the coffee table because simple the courier never informed me in advance when they are coming and today it is supposed they would deliver it they posted that they missed me but nobody came. I was waiting for them and they have never appeared. The lady from Oak World said she will send an email....I haven't heard back from her. You have to reimburse me. I am enough with your delivery. wardrobes parts not labeled took 2 people 10 hours to bulid and parts also missing wardrobes came on time but the building took me and a local builder 10 hours now there are parts missing. this is because items are not marked. advice don't buy if they don't offer fitting service Date of experience: 30 March 2024

I bought a small sideboard in February 2003. Ordering payment and delivery all went well. The cabinet was ok for what I paid for it but in less than a year the middle drawer wouldn’t close. As it was still under warranty I contacted OakWorld and was initially told, without any evidence at all, it was due to “misuse”. I sent several photos of the runner which had come away and it took 3 photographs for them to finally accept it was, in fact, a fault but not, they told me from poor quality workmanship but through “normal wear and tear”. Quite damning really if they believe the quality of their workmanship lasts less than 12 months. I was told the cabinet would be collected and repaired under the warranty “the next time a driver was in my area”. No word of this happening to date. I am very surprised by the many “excellent” reviews on TrustPilot because quite honestly I would never recommend them to anyone.

The chest of drawers was delivered to a house in the next street and left in the garden. Picture shows it there and when we went to look less than 30 mins later it was gone. Right number wrong st. Delbert company furdeco were awful. Put us on hold and then cut us off three times. OakWorld just as bad. Furdeco will do nothing until they report stolen to police which I expect they won’t bother to do. OakWorld directed us to a web page to report it……. It’s a blank page. Terrible service and I’ll now have to go to my credit card company to get my £305 back. Don’t order anything!

As someone else has reported, the customer service is dreadful and they say they will pass on a message to find out when the delivery of an item is due rather than just giving you this simple information over the phone. The wardrobes I ordered are late and no reply from the team..I am clueless to when my delivery will be, and fear they will just turn up without informing me of the delivery time/date. I will not order from them again. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE AWFUL REVIEWS!!

Pest infected The TV unit is fit for purpose as regards size, experience and function. Unfortunately after putting it into our room we had an unprecedented infestation of firebrats and tracked source to the item

Ordered a bed from this company. Didn’t hear anything in terms of delivery of the item after some time had passed. Contacted them and they assured me that it would be delivered and I just had to wait for the courier to contact me. Didn’t hear anything so contacted them again. Customer service team didn’t sound bothered at all and again told me to wait for the courier to contact me. Didn’t hear anything after a while so contacted them again to which they told me the courier is unable to deliver it anymore. They told me it’ll be delivered be another courier and since then it’s been delay after delay or just no contact at all. Customer service team sound half asleep on the phone and don’t seem to care + emails take forever to be responded to. I would cancel if I didn’t have to wait weeks for a new bed to come but at this point I might just do it.

Rang up to see how to get a replacement leg for a £169 denny chair It wasn't a faulty item or a new purchase - the chair leg just snapped off from usage in a busy community centre. I just wanted to order a replacement so the chair could be used again. The customer care lady tried to help, but it always came back to needing an order number and name of person who ordered it, and that information wasn't available. It is a busy community centre, and there was no paper record of the purchase, as it was a few years ago. The only option I was given was to buy a new chair! Ridiculous...

Absolutely discussing and terrible service!!!! Delivered to my old address, partly dye to me making an error when placing a delivery, however they left my furniture piece outside on open street as no one lives at my old address. No one bothered calling at the time of delivery too and the item is simply gone as it was a busy Town centre address. They are not willing to do a refund or send a replacement!!! They used a picture where its clearly shows that it was left outside as s proof of delivery and were insisting that it is the proof of delivery and there is no other proof!! I have never come across such a retailer, everyone else is always either refunding or offering a replacement!! Don't suggest buying anything from them, because if anything hoes wrong, you might simply loose significant amount of money!!! Unfortunately resolver was unable to get a response from them either, so they started ignoring us completely!!

BEWARE BEWARE BEWAre To add insult to injury of the bottom review I have just found out they have cancelled the repair which should have been carried out in two weeks, the repairer stated All work for Oakworld has been cancelled. ARE OAKWORLD STILL SOLVENT? as they are not responding to my phone calls or emails!!!!! Keith McCall Verified Reviewer “BUYER BEWARE!!! If I could give NO STARS I would Ordered a Triple wardrobe which was delivered June 2022, on 12/7/2022 I notified and sent photographs to Oakworld that I was unhappy as there was damage to the wardrobe. After numerous phone calls and emails another wardrobe was supposed to be delivered 27/11/22 this never happened. So after more phone calls and emails instigated by myself, on 20/12/22 they promised there repairers (Homeserve) would be in touch to attend and rectify the problems 13/1/23 I phone and spoke with Scott who stated there are still waiting for the repairer to contact us and them regarding the planned visit. When complained about the delay all I got was excuses. Once and if this is resolved I will never use them again, they are unreliable, they don't contact you when they promise and are totally uninterested in resolving issues. I advised I would post this and Scott did not try to resolve the issue, so here it is.

Dreadful quality, appalling customer service. Ordered 2 Tiffany style lamps, quite expensive (£640)their email said they would let me know when items despatched so I had an idea about an arrival date. That didn’t happen. One arrived damaged (not suppliers fault) unpacked the second one and the quality was a disaster. The light pedestal on the lamp was assembled backwards, and the lamp access door didn’t close! We looked the damaged lamp and yes, that was assembled back to front as well. Now the drama to get them returned and money back. What a nightmare, 9 emails over 21/2 weeks and then to cap it all the carrier arrived TWICE to pick up packages. Don’t order from this company, poor quality products and customer ‘service’ is a total joke.

One star (because you can't give less). We ordered a (£1,000+) sofa which arrived with a damaged back cushion, the couriers insisted it was just 'compression' - oakworld customer support said the same when contacted. We were advised to follow some after care instructions to restore the shape of the cushion, which failed to make any difference. We asked for a replacement sofa but customer support said this was not possible as the sofas were made to order - this was a lie as we checked with their sales team and two were in stock at the time. After months of wrangling they finally offered a refund. The collection was booked but the couriers did not collect. After more wrangling we'd had had enough so we went to the small claims court for a settlement. oakworld (rightworx Ltd) then played a game of brinkmanship by denying their actions right up to the point a hearing was due, before settling. Their actions lead us to believe that they knew the sofa damaged and they hoped we would give up trying to sort this if they behaved obstructively for long enough. AVOID THIS COMPANY! unless you're happy to risk months of hassle and are prepared to go to court to resolve the dispute.

Satisfied with the the quality and the instructions for self assembly .Arrived earlier than expected, in fact only 2 days. Would recommend. Very happy.

We had excellent service from Oakworld Our Windsor Reclining Armchair is just as the photo and is very comfortable We thought it was an absolute bargarin It arrived 5 days after we had ordered it After trailing round furniture shops and being quoted up to £1000 for a recliner armchair and then being told we have to wait 11/12 weeks for delivery I couldn't believe it when I found this site I'd definitely use them again

My 85yr old mum bought a £419 Windsor recliner chair in May. When she sat on it there’s a huge gap between backrest and cushion around 5-6”. She feels unsafe like her backside is going to go through the large gap. So there’s no support for her back. We complained and a technician came out and told my mum it was an easily fixable issue and he would return to fix it once it had been agreed . Customer service then wrote to me and lied and said the Technicians report said there was no fault. I asked for the report which she refused but quoted the Technicians report words which stated the cushion needed more padding and was an easy fix. They’ve refused to fix it even though it’s not fit for purpose and is unusable for my mum. I’ve contacting Citizens advice regarding Consumer Rights Act 2015 , going to forward emails to Watchdog and then legal redress through small claims if they are that petty. I’ve emailed the CEO Karl Utley as a last resort too as this isn’t my mums fault is it ! AVOID THIS COMPANY THEY LIE AND CLEARLY TREAT OAP’S WITH DISDAIN ONCE THEY HAVE THEIR MONEY

As you can see from many reviews it does not bode well ordering from oak world I even rang today before I placed my order and waited in a que I was told by Damion it was in stock and I would receive it in 3-5 working days as stated Once you’ve paid your monies and your order is confirmed Then you get an email to say that the following postcodes will have an EXTRA 14 days delivery time So I read them and half the country is included🙄 I live in Dorset not the highlands or islands of Scotland Sorry but this is totally unacceptable

Thank goodness I came across this site. I was looking to buy a wardrobe and was wary about committing to one as the product pages don't contain any reviews about the actual product. I have been putting off ordering for a couple of weeks because of this and am relieved that I now have made a decision not to buy from people who are afraid to publish reviews on the actual page that shows the product. Thanks everyone for all your warnings.
