“I received two quotes for a tiled and insulated roof for my conservatory. While Oakdene was ever so slightly more expensive than the other company, the advice Peter provided gave me an unmatched level of comfort. Ben and Andy arrived on time and completed the job to a very high standard, with time to spare. Andy even fixed my door, saving me a callout to the locksmith, which was unrelated to the job but greatly appreciated. The electrician and plastering team were also excellent. Plastering a Victorian conservatory ceiling is no easy task, but they handled it with skill. Thank you so much, Oakdene. I made the right choice, and I couldn't be happier with the results.”

“Having a conservatory provides a bright additional space to your home. It is however, only useable for a limited period because traditional conservatory roofing does not provide protection to the cold of Winter or the heat associated with Summer. To remedy this we decided to have a ‘warm roof’ installed on ours. We went through the ‘due diligence’ process by inviting a number of companies to our home and assessed their solutions. It was clear from the onset that there was a number of worrying methods on offer including over/under cladding, aluminium framing solutions and even spray-foam insulation. The deciding factors for us were the 10-Year insurance-backed guarantee, the use of professional craftsmen, building regulation certification, previous reviews and quality of the products used. From start to finish Jill kept us updated with the progress of our order with weekly emails and telephone calls. The installation team were fantastic. In no time at all they had protected all internal surfaces and removed the old roof. By the end of the first day, they had installed the new wooden frame and made sure it had a water proof barrier. On the second day, despite the atrocious weather conditions, they continued to batten and tile the roof, add the new guttering, install 1st-fix electrics for the interior lighting and started the internal insulation. Within 2 ½ days our 4m x 4m Edwardian conservatory had a watertight new warm roof. Subsequent trades then came in to install insulated plasterboard and plaster before completing the electrics by installing the dimmable pocket lighting. The quality of the final finish is outstanding. In conclusion, we are so happy that we went with Oakdene and over the moon with the final product. If you are considering a ‘Warm Roof’ system for your conservatory you should give them a call. Fully deserving of this and other 5-Star reviews.”

“akdene have delivered some of the best customer service and workmanship we have come across for many years. From the first phone call with Peter who was able to understand my garbled ideas and turn them into a sensible project, through the works itself and to Jill's great communication and organisation we couldn't be happier. Peter was great at listening to what ideas we had and asking the right questions to understand the thinking behind them to be able to make superior suggestions that in the end actually saved us many thousands of pounds. He explained the concept, process and benefits brilliantly and we were confident from day 1. Jill kept us informed throughout and we never had to chase for anything, she was always a pleasure to work with. Once the job started Andy & Ben were exceptional. They are clearly very skilled at their respective trades and work together seamlessly and always with the upmost awareness of our needs and the impact on us and the neighbours. The craftsmanship was clear to see each day as the roof developed. What was staggering was the effort and time they spent working which meant we went from conservatory to brand new roof inside 4 days as Peter promised. This was really impressive as we had a 20 square metre glass roof to remove which was incredibly heavy but they got it down and away in half a day and all in one piece. This meant any disruption was to an absolute bare minimum. The care they took in clearing and cleaning each day and especially at the end of the week was testament to their professionalism and pride. We almost miss having them around! In week 2 we had 1 day with plasterers in and 1 with the electricians who were in and out as promised and again delivered superb quality of work. All in all it took 7 working days to complete which is breathtaking really. The finish externally looks perfect and neighbours all thought it was roofed in the local Swithland slate, that’s how effective the tiles are. The internal finish is exceptional and has transformed the room. Our conservatory is open plan in to the kitchen and is used all year round but now feels like a natural extension of the kitchen. From a heating perspective even during the coldest week of the year since it was complete I have turned the heating thermostat down by 1.5 degrees which is a considerable reduction. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Oakdene to anyone looking at a conservatory roof replacement solution. We had explored other options which were going to be either far inferior concept wise ( fixed over the existing roof) or twice as expensive ( building a new roof/ room). This is the perfect solution and we know we have complied with all building regs and have the security of the warranty should it ever be needed. Excellent work all round.”

“Oakdene replaced our roof in mid November and I could not be happier, it has transformed a freezing conservatory into a lovely warm room. The whole team were very personable and nothing was too much trouble. The process was flawless from start to finish, and I was kept in the loop with any questions I had answered straight away. It was weatherproof each night during the build and I have never met such clean and tidy tradesmen. All in all the process was easy and I would highly recommend them. “From the moment we first met Peter for our quotation we could tell we were in safe hands. From start to finish this is one of the most professional companies we have ever used. It was always reassuring that Jill & Adam, in the office, were always at hand for any questions as was Peter. Once the work commenced, Andy & Ben who fitted the roof were friendly, professional and expertly constructed the roof as to our specifications. Then the electrician and plasterer finished it off in the same manner. We love our new conservatory and the difference it has made in keeping in the warmth is amazing, which was our main reason for replacing our glass roof. “I have three timber conservatories, all around 20 years old with glass roofs. When I decided to replace the roofs I looked at 6 companies and chose Oakdene based upon their design, attitude and finally price. They did not disappoint. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail is second to none and they work in a clean and tidy fashion. Andy and the team were very co-operative, discussing solutions to the usual snags with me as they went. Overall I am delighted and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Oakdene. “From the first contact, the online quote, to the final bit of work, replacing some of the old glass panes, every thing was done in a very professional, friendly , cooperative way. There is an old Welsh proverb, ‘Nid da lle gellir gwell’ which reads in English, ‘It’s not good if it can be better’. Everything about this was good. The communication was by all three, live chat,Email, and telephone.”

“We thought long and hard before deciding what to do with our conservatory. We rebuilt with a very expensive hi-tech glass roof seven years ago. It did improve things but it was still too hot in summer and too cold in winter despite over-sized fan-convector run off of our heat pump. The recent treble increase in electricity costs proved the last straw. So having researched alternatives we came across Oakdene and that was the trigger to sort things out. From the first contact they sprang into action and produced a project budget which was right on our target. We then proceeded to discus the details and project specifics all of which were clearly specified and costed. On placing the order and paying the deposit all the paperwork flowed as it should and despite the awful spring weather Oakdene got everything planned and ordered. On the agreed day Andy and his team arrived. Started work and everything went very well. A few delays due to the weather but everything was done very professionally on every trade. All of the team were real Craftsmen who cared about the quality and worked very cleanly, making sure everything was safe and protected every day and night. The finished result met and exceeded our expectations. A great quality job by a great team - thank you Oakdene. P & T - Holmer Green”
