“I had been recommended by my podiatrist to try a couple of pairs of trainers following a foot fracture and tear of one of my foot tendons. I purchased 3 different types of shoe from Northern Runner. However, each were not suitable for different reasons. I returned them in person to their store in Newcastle. I was refunded immediately and in addition to this, the guy I spoke to (I forget his name) looked at my feet and within 10 seconds was able to tell me what size and type of shoe would be ideal. I tried them on and he wasn’t wrong. The most comfortable fitting shoe I’ve ever had and I feel no pain when walking in them (unlike other footwear I own). It surprised me the guy found a shoe first time as I have such high arches and wide feet. I usually search for hours to find a decent shoe. The one I tried on was so good I’ve purchased an additional 2 pairs as Brooks don’t make them anymore. A massive thanks to the guy in there. Great customer service. I’ll not buy my shoes from anywhere else now!”

“First time using NR and will definitely use again. Ordered online and took careful notice of their returns policy just in case the Scott Palini trainers were not the same fit as my existing pair. Unfortunately they were too tight on the width. Returned as per the clear instructions. Confirmation email received two days later that they had arrived. Approx a week later the credit appeared on my credit card statement. Excellent service and communication from placing the order to handling the return. Top marks.”
