Staircase is lovely BUT the "decorating" I was left to do was not what I assumed decorating meant! Had to call a DIY expert to resolve after Neville Johnson staff showed no interest in my complaint.

There is this particular designer Samuel who once I could not discuss arranging an appointment as I was quite busy at the time he called refused to call back; I chased him for weeks!when he eventually got back to me he was very arrogant and warned me the wardrobes cost a “6-figure sum” and if I really wanted to go ahead with the appointment;he is most likely unhappy with what he is doing and is definitely damaging the reputation of the company;I decided to go ahead with Sharps bedrooms who have always treated myself and my family with unrivalled professionalism and respect and provided me with first class services. A colleague had asked me to give Neville Johnson a trial.What a massive disappointment and nightmare!

The service was good. We started in the showroom with very helpful staff. A few days later we had an initial visit from the designer and a follow up with him to discuss and finalise the design about a week later. The order took a few months to be completed, so the final survey came much later. Again, he helped us out with a couple of minor changes. The fitter was great. He was prompt, friendly, kept us informed on little details and helped us on tiny, final decisions: where cables could be hidden and so on. He was done in a day and a half. One top piece wasn't finished properly, but that was replaced the next day. The quality of the furniture is excellent: we can't find fault. The price is relatively high but we had good service and are really happy with the finish. If only the production could be a little quicker.

We had great service from Neville Johnson mr John Hammond designer/Sales was very polite,helpful and professional Mr Mark Allen surveyor again very professional Mr Gary Rigby did installation and did an excellent job in two days Mr Mike Cane installed cupboard and drawer under stairs again an excellent job We are very pleased with the work from start to finish would recommend and use this company again.Ann from Durham

We had a staircase fitted and we are absolutely delighted. From ordering up to the actual fitting we have been kept in touch/updated with everything. The craftsmanship is unbelievable. Expensive but as far as we are concerned it is worth it

Absolutely delighted with the final fitting. The workmen were excellent and did the whole job in one day. No mess or finishing touches needed. We can now order our new carpet to complete the hall, landing and stairs.

From start to finish a wonderfully professional experience. From the planning and survey stage to completion, everything went to plan and was organised beautifully. Once the surveyor had been completed, a few days later plans for my completed design arrived. For me it was wonderful not having to chase for anything; Neville Johnson made sure everything went to plan. The fitting by Gary was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble . It was lovely to have someone in the house completing work who was professional and sociable and the workmanship is fantastic . If you are looking for a smooth implementation from start to finish, I highly recommend Neville Johnson. Tracy Evans

First class company easy to deal with most helpful Mark sales Richard surveyor Neal the fitter first class never stopped from time got to me till job completed also James installation manager installation went well materials delivered on time cannot fault the workman ship value for money any worries I had were soon dismissed highly recommend this company also thank Jo in office we are another satisfied customer Mr&Mrs Potter

Absolutely a first class job fitting my staircase from Gareth the sales man who was very professional and delivered what he promised. Jo in the office who kept me informed every step of the way the fitters were outstanding there attention to detail was excellent, so pleased I chose Neville Johnson if any one is reading this review do not hesitate and go with this company from Mr mrs Tyson two highly satisfied customers we thank you .

All of the workmen that we had any contact with, were very friendly, and professional in their care of our property, the 2 finished staircases we are very pleased with. No problem with the design process either.

Fitted Study/Bedroom great design works so well Fitters were so pleasant great to have around cleaned up leaving room ready to use 2nd time I've used this company and will do so again

After Looking at Many companies to do our work we decided on Neville Johnson as they really sell their service in the Media and TV . We recieved a visit from the Salesperson and he said he would go away after talking to us and design what we wanted . Another Meeting was booked and we were quite happy with the illustations . After taking time to think about it we decided to go with Neville Johnson and the salesperson started to measure the rooms , We were told that 1 Radiator needed moving . After to paying a Large deposit he told us that it can be booked in for August and we would recieve a call from our account manager on the project . I recieved the call and she complained to me saying the salesman shouldnt discuss dates and he was wrong it couldnt be done in August and she will come back to me on dates after the Surveyor and been to see us nearer the date.The Surveyor turned up and to say we was shocked is a understatement he proceeded to run the salesmens measurements say Quote they were rubbish ,Bit strange to say to a client ,We were told that the Plugs were in the wrong place so we atto pay for a Electrcian to move them again .I was told in order to book the job in I needed to pay the next instalment and I did . Anyway after many calls to Neville johnson our instalation was booked for the 5th October we were told it was a 4 Day Job . On the 5th a Van turned up with the Materials it was a lad on is own no men from Neville Johnson to be seen , So I atto unload the Van with the lad . The Men turned up around 11am and started the work . To be honest the lads done a really good job however Neville Johnson once again got the parts wrong there were draws damaged and other stuff was incorrect , We were told they would order them and be back on Monday to finish the job , After taking a week off work me and my wife were shocked how bad the service was . After calling the furfillment manager he came out to our house to tell us it wouldnt be completed Monday he didnt order the parts until he came out to see . Well 2 weeks on we are still waiting for the parts and the job isnt finished . I can only speak about our experience and say The service or organisation of the company is shocking and the 2 people that installed our home office done a good job ,But we paid a lot of money to Neville Johnson and they got or are getting it wrong badly . Summary you pay a lot of money for a very poor service !!! we have paid Neville Johnson 80% of the money and Still waiting

The install manager is one of the most arrogant condescending people i have had the misfortune to speak to in my life. 3 times they have changed the install date and when we ask for a full refund he refused and became aggressive with my wife on the phone. Do yourself a favour and avoid this company.

we were really excited to have the design of exactly what we wanted with a promise of efficient installation of both banister and cupboards the initial planning was great and they took the money soon enough but from there onwards awful part of the banister was broken on arrival so completion was delayed for a month worse still was the complete disaster of installing understairs drawers. they were installed wrongly, poor finishing showing a lack of quality control. multiple calls and emails ignored or a rather flippant reply we are more than 2 months now since the initial installation and still the drawers are not fixed and they have cancelled their replacement yet again! honestly avoid this company like the plague, they charge a premium and the products and planning look good but the installation, quality control and after care are frankly appalling. if i could give less than 1 star i would

Yet again Neville Johnson have let us down. They have sent a text this morning to let us know that, because of defects in their own workmanship, they will not be attending to finish our bedroom fitting today. We signed the contract 11 months ago, still can't use our bedroom and they don't seem to care! If this is like all the other times, we'll have to wait another 6 weeks just for a new fitting date. Avoid like the plague!

Design consultant could not give us the time of day. Dismissive, condescending and arrogant. Implied that we could not afford them and we are better off going somewhere else. Our rooms are quite small so we were open to bouncing ideas but the consultant just wanted to leave. Will not be using this company now nor will we in future home renovations in various properties.

Our Neville Johnson glass staircase is a major transformation to our house. From our first encounter with the salesman who listened to our requirements and guided us to the best solution to the expert fitter who did a fantastic job. I would have given 5 stars had the communication been better from when the deposit was paid. I had to chase for dates for installation when I could have earned interest in my account. All in all a good job. You definitely get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend.

The only thing good about Neville Johnson was the designer who visited us in the first place. He produced exactly what we were looking for. Fitter arrived and in the course of conversation he told us his last job was pulling out student kitchens and how disgusting they were. Did make me wonder and I was right. He chipped the top corner of the top and marked the door. Whole thing was not square. After I complained a manager came and ordered up a whole lot of new parts and we started over. I emptied the unit and waited in all day for the appointment and he didnt show. I then had an appointment for a polisher following that. I phoned customer services and lady said she would get a supervisor to phone. She was very apologetic and almost immediately offered to wipe out the balance I was due which was £1000. I did think it was generous but she said I had not had the proper Neville Johnson experience. Polisher then phoned to say he was coming - they had failed to inform him. Eventually fitter completed the job followed by the polisher and I had the completed product - which was fine. Got an email the next day asking me for the £1000 I was due and I told them that their customer services had said that I had no further payment to make. Several days later I had an aggressive call from Joseph O'Loughlin asking for the balance and said that nobody but him had the authority to make discretionary gesture of goodwill and none of his staff would have done that. He first offered £250 and said if I didnt pay I would be put on the bad debtors list. In the course of conversation he increased this to £500 and then to £600. He followed this up with an email saying I would be on the bad debtors list if I did not pay within 5 days. I have dealt with Sharps four times to have wardrobes fitted and they have been in and out in one day with no problems whatsoever. I thought I was getting the best of the best. Instead I get back workmanship, called a liar and threatened with the bad debtors list. Would I recommend Neville Johnson - not a chance!

The customer service was very bad. Many appointments cancelled, some at late notice, on one occasion simply nobody turned up. we had to chase them up many times, which we should not have to do. We were very disappointed

Terrible telephone manner. Insinuated I could afford the units if I’ve been quoted £5000 elsewhere the chances are their prices will be £8000. I think he didn’t like my foreign accent sand came to the conclusion I couldn’t afford it: I hung up in total shock!!! DISGUSTING
