Would of got my car two days earlier if they opened their emails. Excuse they gave is that they get so many some get missed.

Took ages,was told on Friday all sorted could collect car,money wasn't even sent to the garage until the following Tuesday.very frustrating company..

Very slow process with lots of investment of my own time to chase up paperwork. I really wish I did everything through Arnold Clark myself. 1 week later still no car!!

Overall experience was pretty poor, was accepted for finance but could only choose specific cars from specific dealers. Ended up with my last choice of car, was told the process is quick took days and days to actually be able to pick up the car.

This was the longest drawn out process ever, there was no coordination regarding document collection and we were very close to cancelling on several occasions. I understand due dilligence but this was to the extreme. The dealership we dealt with has said that in 30 years of trading they have never experienced such behaviour.

We can see there was some back and forth during the processing of your application - some of this was unavoidable due to the due diligence we perform on behalf of the lender. As the deposit placed for this application was higher than typical finance applications, the lender required further proofs and checks to complete the application. For most parts it was alright, but what was most unacceptable was that a dealer listed on your website charged £350, as an admin fee, for availing credit from you. The customer support did nothing to change this.

The administration fee you have mentioned is charged by the dealer independently from the finance agreement with My Car Credit. Kept having to request updates. Not clear info. Slow to release funds. Some staff said they would contact me and never, I had yo contact them. Not a good experience sadly.

Although efficient and speedy, pre approved rate wasn’t as advertised and they gotten wage wrong in the affordability section which could of affected my APR considerably

You need to call to find out what they need. They don't call you, they don't send you an email requesting anything, it's only when you call that you find out what they need. Delay in the process I ended up losing two vehicles because they were sold due to the delay.

Promised me 9.4 apr and said this was confirmed. Once deal was finalised it was 12.4 apr. This was not communicated to me and not what had been agreed and confirmed. I feel low apr was offered to lure me in . Really poor communication

I felt the need to chase constantly. I was never really given clear timescales and felt like this should have been done at the start via email. The whole 'release funds by end of next working day' I.e. if its a Friday it won't be done until Monday feels so dated. Do you not use faster payment? Staff I spoke to on phone were all nice, but some erros on their side caused the delays. I sent various forms of ID given my recent house move, and it seems some of it wasn't submitted. When they told me that they needed to see different proof of address they ended up using a document I had already sent via email but they hadn't passed over to finance. This experience has genuinely taken a lot of the excitement out of getting a new car.

Quick service but not one mention of the £500+ admin fee until I read it myself on the docs.

The fee you mention is the dealer's admin fee when selling you the vehicle. This is not a fee that we, as the finance broker, are involved with which is why we do not mention it during our communication with you. I informed the broker I no longer wanted to loan any warranty costs that the dealer quoted me on. They didn’t feed this back to the dealer when requesting invoice for the vehicle costs. Then it took one whole day for an invoice to get prepared because they didn’t ring the dealership to inform them or ask them to remove the warranty costs for the invoice I had to step in several times ringing both the dealer and the broker as to amending invoice What makes it worse - the broker lied to say that they were waiting on the dealer to re-send the invoice when In fact the dealership only had one call from them to stats that they needed to amend invoice. Then I was promised that the broker would put a request in for a speedier transaction to the dealer - they didn’t do it I was told 1 working day for funds to be cleared. Only cause I complained did they then do it. Otherwise I would have waited another full day!

I financed two cars at the same time, one using my car credit and the other using the one a dealership recommended (black horse). My car credit have made it difficult at every step, asking me to sign all paper work by hand (I don't own a printer) and taking days to come back with any answers or not coming back to me at all. Black horse was all online and funds were sent and arranged in 1 day. I am currently on day 5 with my car credit and the funds are meant to be with the dealership today, however I am not holding my breath looking at other reviews. If you're unsure whether to go for these or the one your dealership is recommending I would 100% recommended steering clear.

Whilst the majority of our lenders do offer digital signing options, unfortunately the lender who you were approved with does not. Our only option was to have the paperwork completed manually, and we do agree that this is much less efficient. Now that everything is completed, we hope you are enjoying your new car. I filled out an application and got a conditional approval straight away, which was great. Since I live in an area with no phone signal I emailed the address in the response I got (a guy called James) to ask him to send me details of the next steps. Never got a reply. Then got a template email a day later asking me to call them to progress the application. Emailed again to say I couldn't call, but if they'd email me details of what they needed (I assume proof of salary etc) then I'd get right on it. No reply again. Finally I get another template email saying 'we've been trying to get in touch with you but we've not heard from you so we'll withdraw your application if we don't hear from you' Each of these emails gave me the option to contact them by phone or email, and each time I emailed them straight away, explaining that I couldn't phone, and got ignored. Either respond to your emails or at least don't claim it's a viable way to contact you.
