App functionality is terrific. Synced seamlessly with Apple heath/Garmin etc. Awesome lifting plan and videos. I downloaded the app for the free trial after all the great reviews in preparation for the 50 mile Leadville MTB race, coming out of months of lifting. The plan did NOT meet my needs for that, and I was looking for a cycling focused plan. BE WARNED; there is no way to cancel your trial or subscription on your own. You MUST email/message Matt to have it cancelled. After seeing the plan was primarily lifting based, I wanted to end my free trial. I looked in the app and website to cancel it and found nothing, not knowing it required contacting him. I got distracted (my fault) and forgot about the app. I was charged at the end of the trial, and again a month later before realizing it was active. I messaged them to cancel. Matt was very responsive but no refunds offered. This is the first subscription I’ve ever had that didn’t let you cancel on your own, hence the low rating.

Hey Joseph, Sorry to hear you weren't happy with the app. I can confirm the workouts would definitely have helped you prepare for the Leadville 50, in fact I've had many customers use my plans for that exact race. Totally understand that you thought the app wasn't for you though and decided not to use it, it isn't for everyone :). As for cancelling - I just wanted to confirm that within a few hours of you emailing, your subscription was cancelled. You can get in touch to cancel in anyway you like - there's a messenger right inside the app that comes straight through to me, or you can use email, the contact form on my website or message on Instagram/Facebook. It does state on the sales page that that's how you cancel your trial before you sign up, and this is always cancelled immediately on receipt of the email, without exception :) Thanks Matt

I have attempted to complete the 12 week programme 4 times now. Unfortunately I've never managed to get past week 8 workout something getting in the way (injury x2 and illness). I've started again and am currently on week 7 (this time I'll make it all the way to the end!). The plan is hard work, but easy to schedule in to your lifestyle sure to the option for home and gym workouts. But does it work? Well, I went for a ride at the end of week 6. It was a group ride with the local MTB club, and when I turned up they were all on E-MTBs. Nevertheless, I managed to keep pace with them on a lot of the climbs, and they never had to wait for me for long on the others. Yeah I had to work hard, but they were all amazed at my ability to keep up with them. I might have even bagged MTB fitness a few extra customers. Can't wait to see how I do on week 12!

The information is very general and non-specific for scientifically based improvements in performance. I was particularly disappointed in the over 50's information which is written in "American marketing-ese, suck-em-in" language, unsuited to people who are, like me, over 50 and learned critical thinkiung at school. I was astonished that the BHF had used this source of information when it has almost zero information about fitness for those with potential heart or circulation problems. The "go for it" advice appears quite unsuitable for this category of people. British Cycling has better and free information and it works for this 75 year old MTB rider! I will never use MTB fitness again.

I purchased the 12 week fitness plan. It was the best purchase I ever made. Within the second week I noticed how much better my hill climbs were and on completion my body had toned up and I had lost body fat. My confidence on the bike was also better, even without coaching. I am hooked ! I have watched all Matts' you tube videos & really enjoy reading the daily emails. I even emailed Matt with a problem I was having and he got back to me within days with an answer. Needless to say I would 100% recommend Matts' expertise and programs. Thanks Matt !

Super keen to try but false advertising at R15. Never a good sign, as I would have been shocked when R390 gets deducted. Makes you wonder how many reviews are genuine.

Hey Matt, just wanted to say thank you! I trained for 20 years while I was competing in martial arts, the training was specific to what I needed. The main thing I struggled as I had stopped that training, and moved into mountain biking was... How do I train to be able to ride better? This is the only plan.. and I tried lots, with Workouts targeting specific muscles and muscle groups had led to almost immediate noticeable improvements with my riding, not only in strava segment times but general health and lifestyle awareness. Thank you! The workout app paired with your direct support and FB mtb community is truly revolutionary.... At least for me 😁 Thank you! thank you! Thank you!

Brilliant plan starts with the basics and progresses had a bad knee injury and had been off the bike for months needed to have focused workouts that got me back on my bike .

1. Why ask for a review days after a program was bought when it's a 12wk program and it's been a couple days. 2. It's in UK slang which Americans can have trouble understanding. 3. The vocabulary is done by like an English major or something. I have tonstop and Google meanings of words constantly. 4. Already by page 19 I find false facts. Not looking good for you Matt.

Matt certainly knows what it takes to get the most out of Mountain Biking. His training and approach are spot on. Although I have been racing MTB for over 30 years I am still learning and improving. Well done Matt
