Now have the version for after giving birth and I am so satisfied, am thrilled with how easy it is to comfortably insert and use. I've been recommending Mooncups as well as giving them as gifts for these past 10 years and have no plans to stop doing that. “It's a wonderful product. However, using it has been a steep learning curve. Inserting; no problem. Removing it; turned the bathroom into a crime scene after it'd been stuck for two days. “Mooncup was the first menstrual cup I ever used. Mine lasted for ten years before I dropped it down the toilet (after a toilet incident where...lets just say there was no reusing the reusable cup after that) and after subsequent years of using alternative menstrual cups by a variety of companies and feeling dissatisfied, I returned to the original and (in my experience) best cup out there. When I decided to buy another cup, I was a bit nervous about getting the right size - I contacted customer service and Sophia, who answered my emails, was really helpful and informative. “I found mooncup very stiff compared with other brands, which makes it harder to put in/take out. It holds everything in, but similar results can be achieved with a more flexible material. Also other brands, have tiny holes on the rim, which helps detach the cup better, might be something to consider”

Firstly we just wanted to clarify that the Mooncup menstrual cup has six tiny holes around the rim to help the seal release effectively when removing the Mooncup® (if you look into the Mooncup from above you should be able to see these pointing at an angle downwards 😊). We’re sorry to hear you’ve experienced some issues inserting and removing your Mooncup and feel the material is a bit stiff for you. We can appreciate this being frustrating! For now, we would recommend that you take a break from using your Mooncup® if you haven’t already done so. “I bought a mooncup to replace another brand that I had had for several years. I have only used the mooncup for one period. The stem is far too long and chafed against my vaginal wall. I cut it as suggested, and I supposed the sharpness of the stem then caused severe irritation in my vagina, causing me to have to visit the doctor and left me with a bulbous irritation that has lasted for nearly a month. I will never wear it again. Wasted money, I wouldn't go with it at all.”
