Loving my new wheels - have already named her Frankie ... Frankie the fixie! She has helped me get around London during the lockdown and helped me avoid public transport. Mango were great at delivery and I managed to put her together in about 15 minutes... and I have zero bike knowledge!

Fantastic work. Our first video review as well - thank you so much for taking time to do this. Happy cycling

Everything seemed great at first, ordered the bike and in the creation process they didn't have the wheels that I ordered. They reached out and offered a free backpack if I was willing to substitute the wheels, no problem. However, bike arrived minus the free backpack. Plus the rear wheel they sent is way off true and I had to loosen the brakes significantly to prevent it rubbing. Reached out to customer service for the lack of backpack and the wheel and they've ghosted me.

Really cool gear, but for things like the multi coloured wheels it’s not clear that different colours have different tread patterns, which would have been good to know before buying

This is the first time I have used Mango Bikes and am delighted with the price and prompt delivery.

I was given a discount code which didn't work. I emailed the company and they send me a code to use the next day. Packing was prompt, delivery was free and the products were exactly as described. One of the best companies I've ever ordered from.

We are a small independent bike workshop. We have a customer who we had previously sourced bright yellow tyres for from Mango. He now needed replacements and we discovered to our horror those tyres were no longer made, then to our delight that Mango Bikes had contracted their own bright tyre range! Happy shop, happy customer, great product and quick service. Thanks!!!

Mango bikes are solid bikes. I had my first one for over two years but unfortunately had it stolen. Reordering that bike has shown me that Mango has taken a dive in quality when it comes to customer service. I ordered a seat a few months back and trying to return it had me call, email, and facebook message for weeks on end with an occasional vague response and then just being ignored. I eventually had to ask Paypal to step in since I had returned the item. With ordering my new bike, I was once again completely ignored. Absolutely no response on any line of contact this time. When my bike arrived, the wheels were the wrong colour and after a couple of weeks, I am having problems with one of the pedals/crank arms. I don't even want to bother trying to contact Mango about this as I've been constantly ignored in everything I've tried to do with them this year.

Andrew was very helpful online. I told him the situation with my tyres and sent him photos and he had me set up in minutes. Cheers and the yellow tyres look great 👍 Mark

I bought my bike from mango over 5 years ago and it’s still running. In that time I’ve also bought some tyres and bits to keep it going, on the whole nothing to complain about. Recently the bike needed a lot of work as it had become a big run down. As a change I did want to swap to some of the mag wheels on their site but these were out of stock, I have reached out to them via email and their live chat on the website in availability and never heard anything back from either. Customer service needs work guys.

Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever received. The next question asks how we communicated. We didn’t. They didn’t reply to my queries

I purchased a travel mug, "Coffee Brake" with a bike brake handle for the handle of the mug! And a wicked cool bike badge logo! The mug holds my 1-1/2 cups of coffee, keeps it hot for a good long time, and is handy to hoist with the brake lever handle! I haven't traveled with it yet, so I can't speak to how it fits or not in the car cup holder.

Bike is brilliant, solid and excellently built. Communication and support has been stellar even with some delays to the shipping due to parts further along the chain. Will thoroughly enjoy my bike, and highly recommend to all future riders!

I was filled with excitement when I placed an order for bike parts to enhance my bike. However, my enthusiasm was dampened by bike problems that rendered the purchased items redundant. Seeking a resolution, I initiated a return request and made multiple attempts to reach out through emails, live chat, and phone calls, but unfortunately, received no response. Taking matters into my own hands, I followed the return instructions on the website and sent the package back via 1st class. Regrettably, my attempts to establish contact with the company have been fruitless, leaving my refund in a state of processing without any indication of when a resolution might be reached.

After my original Mango saddle died a death after about 17 years, I ordered a new saddle. It arrived promptly, was easy to fit onto my bike, and looks epic! I honestly think it's made my bike look new again, even after all these years! Thank you :)

I’ve sent at least five emails asking about the yellow tyres and whether they will come back into stock and been completely ignored! Just had red tyres delivered and that service was fine but I won’t be using your company again as I won’t be ignored when the market place is saturated!

There were several problems with my order which I will get to shortly, but first, the good: If this review were based solely on the bike, it'd be a 5/5. The bike that I received from Mango was exactly as described, made from quality parts, clearly installed and tuned with care. I had to do nothing to the gears nor brakes out-of-the-box - completely perfect! As you'd expect for a bike of the entry-level price it is, it's all entry-level Shimano stuff, but there's nothing wrong IMO with entry-level Shimano stuff, and it's all brand-new parts. Bolts all seemed to be torqued correctly, wheels were completely true & circular and bearings all felt good. The bike overall feels plenty sturdy but pleasingly light, though I am not someone who is trying to push their bike(s) as hard as possible - I'm not that fit! The paintjob is immaculate and the colour matches of parts made from different materials, while imperfect, are not bad at all. For my bike, I ordered pink tyres, bar tape and pedals, and the match is almost perfect between the bar tape and tyres. The pedals leave a little to be desired on this point, but it's not bad by any stretch. Now, onto the bad. I don't want to rail against Mango here, so I'm going to offer what I think is a bit of useful context. Mango Bikes appears to be a tiny company. Their LinkedIn page lists the company as having 2-10 employees, and there's a post from last year stating that they manage to send out "4000+" bikes per year. Now, I have no way of verifying that this is accurate, however the feeling I get about Mango, from the experince I've had, is that it does seem reasonably accurate. So best-case scenario, with 4000 bikes and 10 employees in a 262 day working year of 8-hour working days, each one of their employees has 5.2 working hours in which to build a bike start-to-finish. Selecting parts, getting the paint done (which seems to be outsourced - so this is more logistical than painting it themselves), building, tuning & testing. That's rapid. But realistically they won't have 5.2 hours per bike: there probably aren't 10 employees, and they cannot all be full-time bicycle engineers. Someone has to do the finances. Someone's got to respond to emails. So.. yeah. The emails. I ordered an OG 8-speed in early May. After the automatic order confirmation, the first contact I had was a couple of weeks later. I was told that their delivery of OG 8-speed frames had been delayed, and that it'd be an unknown additional wait, but offered an approx 2/3 price cut on a DOGG upgrade. Essentially an identical bike, but with disc brakes, for a price that's more than reasonable. Fine, things happen, especially in supply chains in the still-very-much-COVID-addled world. I went for the upgrade. I got given an estimated dispatch date of a week after that (2nd June). That date came and went. I pestered on the 9th of June for an update. And then on the 15th. And on the 4th of July, 2 weeks after I first pestered and over a month after my last message from the company, I finally got an update - estimated dispatch 14th July. Apparently a mistake had been made and my fork hadn't been sent for painting. OK, mistakes happen. I must just be unlucky to have two problems with one order, but a message would have been nice. The 14th came and went and I waited my usual week before pestering. On the 27th I received an email that looked like it came through the sales system (it had all the fancy mango branding that the support emails don't) to tell me my bike was going to ship imminently. On the 30th I got an email from DPD Ireland (Ireland being where Mango is now based) telling me it was arriving *today*. And it did! The day after I got an email from Mango telling me it'd been shipped. So, to summarise my woes: I was left waiting for updates on the bike on 3 separate occasions for more than 2 weeks - and one of those times was almost an entire month, if we take the estimated dispatch as the day I started waiting for an update. My bike was dispatched almost 3 months after my original order. The estimated average turnaround time for OG bikes currently listed on Mango's Bike Availability page is 2-3 weeks. Every communication I had was with Andrew, the owner of the company. Overall, that, to me, gives credence to the notion that they truly do have a small number of employees and that most of them are engineers. I doubt they have anyone other than Andrew managing their email inboxes, the support system & social media. That seems like something of a smart move: the person who has all the power to make decisions becomes the one who knows the most about how people feel about the company. I hope in my communication with him, and indeed in this review that I was being cordial and fair, but also not sugar-coating that I expected better, especially in terms of communication. To conclude: Mango makes quality bikes that are a joy to ride with as beautiful or ugly a colour scheme as you want at an outrageously affordable price. It just seems like there's a high chance for there to be an issue which makes them need twice as long to build the bike as expected, and when there is a problem it takes them between two weeks and a month to respond to an email as well. Maybe move house *before* placing an order. But you'll be happy when it does arrive.

Ordered a bespoke OG bike. It took a month from order to delivery but when I’d heard nothing and chased them up, I was advised they were short staffed with a lot of orders, fair enough. Bike arrived in good condition and was easy to assemble apart from they hadn’t put the Gatorskin tyres on I’d specified and paid for, just had the bog standard ones. With the delay on receiving and even tho I was out of pocket I didn’t make a fuss as I had a spare pair of Gatorskins I could use. I’ve used Mango before and always found them to be excellent so I hope this was just a rare glitch.
