“Absolutely thrilled to bits. I spent so long dithering about what sort of sofa to get, worrying and cogitating, eventually I ordered the van to sample maker&son. I then dithered some more and ended up whim ordering on available now. And they are here. They arrived Monday. It’s July. It’s sunny. Are we outside? No. We are snuggled up on the most comfortable sofas, that just happen to look photo shoot perfect too. Neither of us can wait for winter so we can hibernate.”

“Maker&son may be quick to sell you something, but plesse do not expect anything from them when you have a complaint. Our couch's fabric is falling to pieces (it is 2 years old) and Emma from Maker&son has ghosted me. Quick to take thousands of pounds from you, but very slow to correct a mistake. Disgusting.”
“I placed my order and as part of the promotion was told I would also receive an additional cover free of charge. As of today, and despite contacting the company about this item, I've not received it. Had I known it was not going to be sent I would have changed the color of the initial item. Additionally, I was also told I would have the option to pay for my purchase in installment before shipping. Not so much, instead I received an email nearly demanding the entire payment.Finally despite the fact, that some of the reviews I've read indicated customers having issues with the delivery company, all of my issues have been with the company directly and lack of timely response. Definitely did not recommend to a friend who asked and would not to others either based on this experience.”
“I do not recommend Maker&Son.
This company does a fabulous job leaping about in the countryside telling everybody what sensitive souls they are, and how wonderful they all are. This is all smoke and mirrors. Unfortunately they are rubbish at running a business.
I have lost a (huge) deposit (taken without so much as a blush when the company was already in trouble), and I have no sofa or chair. They couldn't organise their finances properly, and are now in liquidation.
Potential buyers beware! And thanks for nothing Maker&Son.”

“I spent a few days peeking at an item that caught my eye in the sale - a Song Loveseat, in Topaz. Then one day the sale was over!!! I phoned immediately and was very quickly assured I could still buy a remaining item at the sale price. Phew! Delivery was prompt (2-3 weeks after purchase as the item was already in stock) and I was kept informed beforehand. The delivery men were efficient, friendly and charming; my chair was installed and the linen steamed to smooth any creases. My new chair is beautiful, the colour is deep and rich, the fabric is of fantastic quality, and it's SO comfy. It's surprisingly roomy too despite a neat footprint, lovely to sprawl on when just me and easily holds me and my partner when we want to watch telly. Not cheap, even at sale price, but then it is a very classy piece of furniture.”

“I was impressed by your delivery team. They were on the doorstep as the church clock struck eight and quickly got the sofa set up. I was shown how to take the covers off and they left the care booklet
The sofa looks good (and feels when you sit) as I expected. It goes well in the room though there is going to be a lot more rearranging of furniture before I have the sitting room I have planned - not least the delivery of the smaller sofa I have on order.
Finally, thanks to all the Maker & Son team including the ladies in the showroom who were so helpful when I came. it was well worth the visit”

“Have just taken delivery of my second piece of furniture, Song Little Armchair in beautiful Amazonite linen and as before, a seamless delivery ahead of the original schedule. I even had the cushions plumped and positioned on my Loveseat, (in Citrine linen) what service! These pieces are an investment but worth every penny. They are my treat to myself.”

“From start to finish, I felt I was getting a bespoke and genuinely caring service with Immediate response and helpful advice.
Most particularly, when something went wrong - a sofa that wouldn’t fit up my stairs- the situation was dealt with abs a solution suggested swiftly and efficiently and I couldn’t fault the way it was sorted out. That, to me, is the test of customer service.
The delivery guys have been absolutely brilliant both with the original and replacement trips: they could not have been more helpful, relaxed and friendly.
As for my furniture, I’ve yet to really try it out, but it certainly looks fantastic and the jute rugs are absolutely gorgeous too.”

“Every dealing we've had with Maker&Son has been lovely.
In their showroom we were left alone when we wanted to be, and helped immediately when we wanted to be. 100% of the sales patter was relevant and helpful - that's unusual in our experience.
We were there to try out the mattresses and mattress topper. For now we have only purchased the mattress topper, and wow are we glad we did! Two people with very different preferences for a bed surface are both delighted with the topper - we didn't think we could both love the same surface and yet thanks to Maker&Son here we are.
You may wince at the price tag (we did) but we're here to tell you that it's worth it. The production quality is amazing, the design is intricate and ingenious, and 100% natural materials are almost impossible to find in mattresses.

“We are very happy with our gorgeous new sofa, it is so comfortable and is very welcome addition in our home.
It has been a pleasure to deal with Maker and Son and we only had to wait for a couple of weeks from placing our order to delivery.
We weren’t very happy that the delivery van parked on the grass verge outside our house, it did make a horrible mess. Having mentioned this in feedback to Maker and Son, they have apologised profusely and offered to repair and re seed the damaged verge.
We would highly recommend these gorgeous sofas and chairs and look forward to further additions from Maker and Son in our home in the future.”

“I’m very please with my song armchair. Not only the quality is amazing and beautiful but it’s even larger than what I imagined. And now I can confirm that they are indeed very comfy but without sinking to deep. I’m also really impressed with how they thought about important details in the making of their chair. (Like integrating a system that will prevent your back cushion to fall out of shape and support) Finally, the customer service and the delivery team were perfect.”
