I HIGHLY ADVISE YOU TO THINK TWICE -> READ WHY -> this is an absolutely mental way to run a business. im still in shock to be honest as this will literally hit everyone at some point. My bank card was coming up to expiry and my bank had sent me a new card, so i can continue paying for stuff, you know, as you would like too. But apparently you cant change card details associated with your bundle, so when they went to take payment from my old card, i had a text message 10 minutes past midnight telling me they could not take my payment contact customer services. That sounds innocent until you realise your phone no longer has network connectivity, they literally removed everything, so i couldn't even update details if i wanted too. Its like going to a shop and your card gets refused because your bank wants to verify its you but the shop owner says no, im not serving you anymore you had your chance! ABSOLUTELY MENTAL

Stay away from Lyca mobile, they lied to me, I did not receive a refund, they literally stole my money, first they lie to you so that you can leave a good review. The package I bought did not work in Turkey. When I came back to the UK, I wrote to live chat and told them about my problem. They said there was no refund. They said I used my package.

We first got conned into buying one of these Sim cards with 6GB data and calling in San Francisco. It allowed me to make one international phone call an use 1.5GB of data. It was very sparatic when it worked, then it just didn't anymore. No data or calling after 2 days even though it only allowed us to use quarter of the data. Then stupidly got sucked into buy another Sim in Portugal cause we couldn't top up the USA one. Again it said 5GB but this time didn't even allow us to use one. Stupidly we then topped that up €10 that lasted literally 5 minutes. We then again, she we are very stupid, purchased a 3rd Sim for €15 which was meant to have 20GB. AGAIN it didn't even allow us to use 2GB and it stopped working. Wish we had checked the reviews. This company is an absolute scam. It has cost us easily $200usd for feek all. Do not purchase anything from them EVER! They are thriving criminals.

I have very very bad experience!! from to day i am leaving them.i am changing my SIM from lyca to Lebara this private company Lyca Mobile are making a lot of money by charging {stealing} us more money from from poor people , and they are well on UK no one investigate them. I am one of their victim. from 2015 I was using Lyca happily but from time to time lyca company they start changing their caracter . for example nowadays if i top up £5.00 pay as you go ,if i spent only £1 after that if check my balance already gone, this is happening many times i called customer service they gave me only reference number for the future but they never refund my money and they never solved out the problem they said only ''sorry to hear that'' the UK Government must investigate This private company of lyca mobile.Thanks.

I tried to cancel the auto payment on their website and they would not let me do it. They won't allow you remove your credit card information!!!!Then I contacted the customer services and they confirmed my auto payment was canceled. But they are still charging. Then I contacted them again, they replied saying oh we are sorry. we will return the money and make sure the auto payment will be canceled. But nothing happened, they are still charging and no money is returned! It is totally a scam!

I joined Lyca via Uswitch - wish I hadn't. Paid the first payment, got the SIM card, 3 weeks later they tried to take the 2nd payment but it failed. I checked my account on Lycamobile's website - it had somebody else's credit card details; not mine. I deleted that card and put my card details in, but they cancelled my account anyway, and now I can't get a PAC number to keep my phone number as I can't access Lyca. Chatted online with someone completely useless. 2 emails sent - no replies. Stay away from Lyca - they are incompetent, dishonest and useless.

Worst customer service that I've faced. Whenever I call I feel like they didn't have much training and are very rude. From the very beginning it was a nightmare. I've got the SIM card online with £10 plan 6 months for the 20GB and paid online and when the SIM card arrived no plan was attached to it and they wanted me to pay £15 pounds to activate. I explained that I've already paid for the plan and they told me that I did not. I had my bank statement to prove it but they said it doesn't not prove it that I paid. Lucky I did a print screen when I've paid for the sim card online and sent that to them. With no apologies they activate the plan like they were doing me a favour. On my second month I top up the app with 15euros and I am charged twice. I didn't do anything about it because I didn't want to waste time again on the phone with their customer service. I've just thought, I'll use it in the next months. Everything it's fine until on my birthday I am on a call on WhatsApp and my call disconnects. I've noticed that I don't have internet and I check on the app. The 30 pounds I had on my app that was supposed to be used to renew the plan was gone. When I contacted Lycamobile they gave the excuse that I used all my data and therefore the 30pounds were used on pay as you go basis. I knew that was impossible because o rarely use the internet. When I went on the app and added all the MB that I used on the past month I only used about 4GB out of the 20GB. Also my plan was supposed to renew on that day or the day before. When I asked why my plan wasn't renew or why I didn't get a text saying that they weren't able to renew my plan ( or something on this lines ) they said they didn't know and they were going to ask another department. Few days by and today I get a text saying that someone already looked at my case and to call the call center. This call was the worst until now. They literally told me the case was close and the reason they didn't renew my plan was because it wasn't activated. When I asked why it worked or the past months and not on this one? Just told me it was because it wasn't activated in a rude way. I just wanted to understand what happened to be deactivated as it was working fine until now. Basically he told me it's close that's it. With no reply on my questions. I now don't have a plan they took 30 pounds of me. For my understanding the plan for some reason was not renewed on the system and Lyca changed my number to pay as you go and in just less than an hour my money was gone. It was an easy fix and a miss opportunity to show that they care about their customers. Instead when I ask what day did I reached the 20GB allowance? Why I wasn't notify? What day was my plan supposed to renew? Why it didn't? Why I didn't get a text if they tried to renew and they weren't able? (The money was in the account) they just reply that I used all the 20GB. It's like talking with a wall and now they just say your plan didn't renew because it wasn't active. I've already opened a dispute with my bank and hopefully they will sort it out.

Avoid this company unless you want to be stranded with your SIM plan not working and unable to contact anyone! I took out 2 SIMs with prepaid plans with Lyca, which included data, calls and texts. However, in an emergency when I tried to make a call I instead had a message telling me there was no credit so I couldn't make a call, the same then also happened with trying to send a text instead, I should have had both calls and texts. I tried to use mobile data only for this to also be apparently the same! When I was finally able to check my account it showed as PAYG despite there being prepaid plans on both SIMS and the data plan I had taken out had also apparently halved in data from when it had been taken out. A complaint email to customer service over ten days ago has only resulted in 2 absolutely pure nonsense responses, with very poor English and making no sense or any closer to an answer in any way as to what had happened to leave me stranded.

The worst company I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is useless. I tried to solve my problem with the autorenewal of the plan from January 2024 - three months and I was calling them over 20 times - because you won't get any information from them. I wrote to Customer Service, I wrote to complain and nothing at all, completely detached from reality. All I hear is 24 hours will be solved, 24 hours, 24 hours. They will say that a supervisor or manager will call you back within one hour. No one has ever called back from them. And they lie so often that they get lost in these lies, I have proven this to them many times. AVOID LYCAMOBILE LIKE THE PLAGUE. If you want a similar deal, choose Lebara. If you have any problem, it will be solved when you call them within 15 minutes, they will solve everything, and here it is in the third month from January, it's March and no results. Total paranoia, I WARN YOU - avoid LYCAMOBILE at all costs.

Lycamobile: Avoid the Hassle, Choose Wisely Lycamobile promises budget-friendly international calls, but my experience suggests otherwise. Cancelling service turned into a nightmare. Despite providing 30 days' notice, they continued deducting money from my account for 2 months straight! Here's what truly disappointed: Abysmal Customer Service: Reaching someone who could actually help was an ordeal in itself. Deceptive Backend Operations: Cancelling supposedly takes 30 days, yet charges kept appearing. Auto-renewal Trap: Be wary of hidden auto-renewal features that make escaping their service a struggle. The initial low price becomes a deceptive lure when you consider the hidden costs and sheer frustration of cancellation. Don't get caught in Lycamobile's web. There are better mobile providers out there that offer transparency and value customer satisfaction. My advice? Look elsewhere. Save yourself the stress and choose a provider with a proven track record of customer care and clear cancellation policies.
