“My first order and was not disappointed. Arrived next day and whilst the pellets looked different to my normal brand they burnt hotter and left less ash. Oven got to temperature quicker and maintained an even temp during cooking. Will be using only Love logs going forward and have already recommended to several friends.”

“Fantastic kindling for the Ooni wood-fired pizza oven. Burns much hotter and produces less smoke than the regular stuff from the garden centre.”

Hi Connor, Thanks so much for your review! Hickory isn't native to the UK, so unfortunately we won't be adding it to our range, but we do already have British hazel on the site, which from a smoke profile point of view is very similar and well worth a try if you're keen to buy local! Hickory is only native to Asia and North America, so unfortunately it does travel a long way to come to the UK. Happy cooking! Paul

“Very prompt delivery. Good quality hardwood kindling. Not cheap but we used our ooni pizza oven to make >30 pizzas in a sitting and there was less soot in the chimney than I’ve found after doing 8 using other kindling. Kept the oven good and hot throughout and made amazing pizza. Will use again!”

“I needed small logs quickly for my rather elderly Little Wenlock stove. The aim is to replace it soon with a compliant stove like a Hamlet. That means small logs are essential. I was pleased to receive these hobbit logs from Love Logs. They were neatly packed, not at all dusty, and they burn well. The broken logs made from compressed sawdust are also very good, not as dirty as I expected, and they burn with a lot of enthusiasm. The firelighters are a little heavy, so they sink to bottom of the kindling if you don't make the fire up with care. I soon got used to this and now the fire starts easily. The ordering was easy and the delivery efficient. My only slight quibble is that maybe 30kg is a little heavy for the delivery guy. Airport baggage handlers have cut down from 32 kg to 23 kg. I think he was a bit shocked by the weight, considering that most of what he delivers is just light clothing.”

We're glad you were happy with the products and the ordering process 😍 Regarding the DPD driver, DPD charge us 'per parcel' so in order to maximise the amount we get for the shipping rate and therefore keep costs as low as possible, we do try and pack the boxes to as close to 30kg as possible. The drivers are all trained in how to safely lift and carry the 30kg, and they will be handling lots of heavier parcels at the depot each week. Thanks Heather and Paul 💚
