“We have ordered from Love Logs for a about a year and the Hobbit logs are perfect for our small burner. Deliveries come on time and are packaged amazingly! We had a problem on the width of the logs in the last delivery (delivered on a Saturday). We emailed Love Logs and received a reply on a Sunday (which was very unexpected but much appreciated). Immediately Love Logs arranged for new boxes to be sent and the other boxes to be collected to see what had gone wrong - seriously could not ask for more than that. Exemplary customer service.”

“This is the 2nd order I have placed with this company. The delivery is extremely fast and the quality of the product is amazing. When you light it, there is no smoke whatsover, its so clean burning. This year I opted for the single species Oak and I think it is even cleaner burning. It's nice to buy such a quality sustainable product with none of those nasty chemicals.”

“Been buying logs from supermarkets to supplement logs bought from a local farm. Thought logs were all the same. I was wrong. These logs burnt longer, provided more heat and were nearly price comparable. Will be buying again. Delivery was prompt and neat. Wish there was some way the cardboard boxes could be reused rather than just recycled, they are strong.”

We'd love to be able to re-use the boxes, but they would get very damaged coming back to us empty through the DPD network, so it didn't seem worth the additional cost and carbon footprint. “Please read the small print. 54l is 1 box full and paying a premium of £37.95 is not cheap. I’m hoping that when I get round to burning the kindling that my fire will start with the use of one stick. Will not be ordering again.”

Hi Mathew, Sorry you didn't get the experience you expected. We try and be very open about the size of our products through our listings, if you can suggest any way other than listing the volume of the box as part of the product description, we'd welcome constructive feedback! Obviously as soon as you deliver any product to someone's doorstep via next day delivery, you add a courier charge and a packaging cost, which is our case comes to almost than £9... those costs obviously have to be reflected in the price, as well as a (in the case of our kindling, very) small profit margin. Our customers tend to understand they are buying a high quality, convenience product delivered exactly when they need it, not a product designed to compete with nets of kindling from the garage. We understand some people see wood fuel as a commodity to be bought as cheaply as possible, but that's just not our business model I'm afraid. We appreciate the time taken to leave a review, and perhaps once you've used the kindling you might reconsider whether it's truly a 1 star product. Many thanks, Paul

“Always get my charcoal, smoking woods etc from Love Logs now. In the summer when the fire pit is out I’ll be ordering up some logs as well! Great company, doing great things for British forestry and sustainability as best they can. Would highly recommend”
