I ordered a bed in December, the delivery originally stated in March. My online order status then said delivery in January and I chased serveral times to be told the website dates were incorrect and the product was stuck in the red sea and it would be delayed but no timescale could be given. Fast forward 4 months after no other updates but from the delivery company to say to book the delivery and the bed has arrived damaged. It's a wooden bed which is scratched and scuffed and there is a stain on the headboard which looks like glue and then dirt on it. Contacted loaf straight away, spoke to a Ffion who was lovely and said she would get it sorted and apologised for the way the delivery was handled too but then since then I've asked someone to contact me and been ingored for 6 days. Paid £1700 for a bed which has come damaged and they don't care? Not what I expect from a company of there size. Disappointed doesn't cut it.

Not upholstery fabric I bought two very expensive Jonesy sofas and after a couple of years the fabric which I don’t believe is upholstery fabric , began to wear and holes actually appeared in the weave. I have written many, many letters to loaf who have refused compensation and said as the fabric is out of its year’s warranty, there is nothing can be done. One year! So all that money for one year only. I am writing to the press about this as I really do not want other customers to be taken in by their fluffy , persuasive marketing talk , and need to let others know that they are wasting their money as the quality of their sofas is shoddy. My old sofas had no sign of wear after 30 years of the whole family sitting on them. The Loaf sofas are hardly used in comparison and are an embarrassing feature of the house due to the holes!

Shocking delivery, left covers in van, they returned them 3 months later. Excuses at every call. But they gave us a mug for the inconvenience…. The sofa is soooo uncomfortable. What can we do? Dealing with them would be a nightmare we can’t handle again.

I bought the Bumpster Sofa, looks good but is so uncomfortable, you slide off it even though it has deep cushions to sit on, so so uncomfortable!

I would give 0 stars if I could. I’ve been waiting 4 months for a rug. Numerous emails (and 2 free mugs) later, it was arriving on Thursday. It didn’t. So disappointed, rug looked beautiful. Suspecting it’ll never arrive.

If I can deter one person from buying from this company I will be happy. Lots of glossy advertising and style over substance. The products look beautiful in the brochures and advertisements and the colours look vibrant but in reality in my case a serious disappointment. We purchased a Brontë chaise longue in August 2021 within a year the colour had started to fade from an Olive Green to a very unpleasant mustard yellow. It also left marks if any pressure was put on it which were impossible to brush out. Even putting a pillow on it left a mark! The company eventually after much persistence sent a technician round to inspect it . He put it down to exposure to light ( not sunlight!) and thought this was perfectly acceptable. We had another chaise longue in the same position for 10 years with no visible sun damage whatsoever prior to purchasing the new one. It was also a fraction of the price. The chaise longue set us back £1,300 The complaint unfortunately was placed outside the 1 year fabric warranty when the item was around 2 years old. The company placed no responsibility at all for this issue which to me is one of poor fabric quality as you would expect a product at this price to last many years. For a company that prides itself on its quality and service this is a serious misrepresentation. I would strongly advice anyone of thinking of buying one of their products to think again. Unless you have no windows and don’t plan to sit on it! I have attached a photo of the chaise longue with a swatch showing the original colour on it.

For the price, not worth it. Cushions need plumping and reshaping after every sitting. Now we’ve had it for a few months, so uncomfortable, almost feels like sitting on the base every time despite reshaping. Would never recommend buying.

Beautiful looking sofa but just fantastically uncomfortable. It looks great but is giving us backache. The long base cushions coupled with low back and heavy down cushions combine to make the worst sofa I have ever had.

Loaf service in the shop is great. However, the sofa delivered was faulty and poor quality. The delivery company (Wincanton) ask you sign a disclaimer against them damaging your home and the sofa. They said that John Lewis and M & S do not - only when delivering for Loaf are they required to seek a disclaimer. Customer service is useless, broken promises and no interest in collecting faulty sofa.

Everything went wrong. I ordered a Coco Bed and Mattress for £1844 in Feb 2023 . It arrived and the interior slats were not the right size for bed, they sent more, a week later with another delivery company, same issue, third time they got the right size. I spent 3 weeks on a mattress on the floor and I am 61 with serious arthritis. I was offered £275 compensation, still not received 6 months later. After 2 months sleeping on the bed it started creaking so I said I want full refund. They took it away finally took it away 3 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for the refund. Customer "service" are blaming Accounts. When I ask for a Manager, they are "in a Meeting" This company is all marketing and high prices with low quality products and service. DO NOT buy from them.

I ordered a storage bed on the 28th of June and it arrived on the 9th of August without the parts that keep the bed together!!! I have been calling the customer service since and they keep saying that they are processing my request and STILL no update on when I will receive the spare parts!!! This is the firs time I ordered from Loaf and it will be the last! I expected excellent service for a bed that cost 2.3k!

We have had our sofa and love chair for just over 2 years but they haven’t been used often as they were in our spare living room. Since moving recently we have started using the sofa and chair regularly. I have to say that after spending so much money on this furniture, I thought it would last several years. However, even after plumping the large cushions up often, this has got to be the most uncomfortable sofa ever. I would definitely not buy from Loaf again.

Shocking experience from beginning to end. First sofa had a hole in the back, told it could be repaired on site - the man came to repair it and said it can't. Replaced. Next sofa had the wrong legs. Eventually replaced. Then the button has come off the back seat cushion. Repaired on site. Just popped off again today. We had bought a second smaller version of this sofa which we also ordered tall legs for - they arrived after 4 months and one of the legs wobbles because the hole it goes into is too big. Just totally fed up. Everyone on the phone lines are so nice and try to help but clearly something is wrong with the manufacture and delivery processes. Sort it out Loaf ,people are spending thousands with you.

I wrote a review a couple years back giving 5* for in-store service. All fine, but 2 years on there has been an issue with the Smudge armchair. There are pins/nails, pointing upwards underneath the seat cushioning, so that any time you sit down it pricks you under the thigh. It isn't a manufacturing defect, since there are two on either side of the chair. It makes me think it is a fundamental design flaw. It has been used mainly by my wife, who is 50kg, and not every day either. Contacted Loaf SOS - sent in several pictures. Each time I had a response it was from a different person, and most of them didn't bother reading the thread so they made assumptions and gave advice for problems I had never complained about. I spent most of the time trying to correct them, only to have a response from someone different who had not read the thread! I'm giving 2* because I did get a full refund eventually. But really, the chair was £850. For that price I'd expect a seat that doesn't fight back.

Product was significantly damaged when it arrived. The delivery company said they would inform Loaf and failed to do so. Loaf themselves refused to offer the option of replacing the damaged section, only offering the option of returning or exchanging for another item from the clearance section. (Where our sofa had been purchased and advertised as in 'perfect nick'.) I asked why the delivery company had not informed them, delaying the process, and they did not respond not offer any other options. I had been led to expect far better of Loaf.

Achilles three years on. Terrible from the beginning. Engineer came out after purchased as we complained how flat the base cushions were....the cushions were not made correctly apparently (no foam) so replaced. Whilst here he gave us a lesson in how to plump base cushions....oh please ...how patronising! The new ones...Great lumps of foam you can feel through the cushion. Flat as a pancake after half an hour sitting on it apart from the massive lumps of foam!....I'm not exactly heavy! Literally sheds feathers...the back cushions are half the size they were...it's a joke now within the family as we literally pluck the sofa to stop the spiky feathers sticking into us! My dog sheds less! My husband won't sit on it as it gives us all back pain. poor quality filling ...avoid. expensive for what you get

Looks great, but my god, it is uncomfortable. And it requires about as much attention as having a pet, including the brushing. My fault for getting the beautiful velvet fabric, but it wears terribly. And their fault for having horrible fills for the cushions. It is, as someone else noted, like sitting on concrete. You literally have to plump up these heavy mfs every day if you want to be comfortable. It shifts and becomes leaden quickly. Same with the included pillows, which shed large, pointy feathers occasionally. This was supposed to be a luxury sofa. I suspect there are others at half the price that are not only more durable and require less care, but are also way more comfortable. Their CS is fab, but their overpriced product is not.

Loaf products look amazing online. They look amazing as feature pieces. Fair play. They've got their marketing down. But when you actually try and use them, they just don't work. Beauty and functionality shouldn't be mutually exclusive. We spent over £2500 on an armchair and small sofa. After about a month our armchair is making a creaking noise, having made a loud crack at one point when I sat on it. I weigh 11 stone. And the arm design is too upwardly sloped at the ends. You feel like you're always reclining. Our sofa is ridiculously low to the ground. Having asked about alternative legs, they want another £100 to send us anything. The cushion design doesn't work. As many others have said, the cushions require constant attention. All the filling moves to the end. They just aren't full enough. A half-empty sack does not a sofa cushion make. And the smell! You can't market 'scrummyness' as a cover-up for poor design. I wish I'd read reviews before purchasing! I so wish I'd sent them back within the (very short) two week return window. I'm reading reviews, and writing this one, for a bit of catharsis! Turns out we're not the only ones who feel a bit silly. As a young couple, this was meant to be our big furniture investment, for the next 20 years. What a disappointment. It's a case of selling them second hand for what we can get, and saving up again. Needless to say, next time, we'll try before we buy.
