I see an awful lot of foreign people complaining about the staff and the security guy at Lidl . But never once have they ask me to open my bags never . The security guy is ok good man ,always polite and even helps if it’s close to closing time . All the girls are just lovely and the managers are tops . Helpful all the time . I don’t believe that they shout and accuse the way some say . Listen if you don’t like shopping here go somewhere else to do your made up stories . It’s like anything in life ,if you are polite and pleasent ,then it’s returned . Not hard to work it out is it .But if you go in thieving and they stop you ,then don’t start shouting at them .

Lavatory out of use! Checked online to confirm availability of toilet prior to selecting Lidl, thank you to whoever was tasked with replacing our weekly shop back on shelves. Not a great deal of imagination required to put a notice on entry that toilet unavailable. Not every disability is visible & loo availability is very important to some of us.

On 17/03/2023 at 18:20, I was shopping with my partner at Lidl, Tawney Street in Boston. The security guard denied us drinks when we requested age verification despite the fact that we looked over the legal age, this was not the problem, however, he then sarcastically said with an attitude that he's just doing his job, which we found rude. Upon scanning the remaining products, my partner realized she had left her card in the car and asked if she could leave her shopping in the self-checkout while she retrieved it. he then told her to wait as he was on his phone. Then when he finished he started accusing us of trying to shoplift and made us re scan everything without a fair reason. He gave us a lot of attitude and came across like he was getting some sort of power trip from it. As we were leaving he then proceeded to tell the other staff members that we were shoplifting. He was extremely discourteous, uninviting and disheartening to say the least. I have honestly never received such poor customer service in my life. This is a shame as we have never had prior issues with this store but now feel we cannot shop here any longer.

Horrendous customer service. Gobby assistants shouting at customers. Often only self service tills open. Apparently, they have ' other ' jobs to do. Generally dirty, v poor stock levels most days I go in. Treat foreign customers with contempt. If you have a car, go to the one opposite Tesco. 1000% better.

a minute agoNEW I have been going to this Lidl for 6 months now when today I was accosted by one of the "members of staff". Asking me confrontationally to open my bag with no reason why, even shouting when I questioned this. After emptying all the contents open and her not finding anything suspicious. She then stated another customer had informed her that I had emptied a whole chicken into my bag. Without any apology she stated this was just their policy and they have to go on what people say. Unfortunately the staff clearly do not know how to manage such incidents and are unprofessional. I will not be shopping here again and would urge other people with class not to bother either.

We went in for the first and last time yesterday. We wanted a joint of beef for Sunday dinner. They had none. We like cup a soups, but they only had one flavour in stock. We also like the chunky soups in a tin, but again only one flavour in stock. Choice in general was very poor. We could not see anything that would entice us back in to the store again. Very disappointed.
