Waited in 12 hours for a delivery that has not happened. Where is my item?

Customer service was appalling. Our windows were delivered late and in dribs and drabs. But the main issue was the wrong trickle vents / seals were sent so we could not complete the installation. We chased these items on multiple occasions and if we managed to get through, we were repeatedly fobbed off with false promises of dispatch etc. When we eventually received the vents / seals, our builders had left site so we have spent the whole winter with drafts throughout the house. I would never use this company again and recommend they are avoided, regardless of the price.

I ordered two windows in mid-October, four days later I receive an automated email stating that delivery would take 8 weeks (mid-December). Delivery information on the website states two weeks for stock items and four weeks for non-stock items. I wasn't happy about the 8-week delivery timeframe, so I called them immediately and asked to cancel but was told it was too late to cancel. It is now mid December and I just received a new automated email stating that the windows won't be delivered for another 4 weeks (mid-January)! That will be 3 months total delivery time for UPVC widows. Completely unacceptable. These are standard windows, nothing too fancy, they are anthracite black/ grey which is one of the standard colours on their website. I am guessing that these products are made in China and then shipped to the UK, which is why it takes so long for delivery. If the website was honest with the delivery times, I would have purchased somewhere else. I guess we will have no windows for Christmas then, not happy at all.

Your order comprises of non-standard windows as they are flush casements and have the anthracite grey smooth colour - both options of which incur a slightly longer lead time. The worst company on the planet there won't Give a refund for a door I ordered 8 weeks keep telling me lies, I've missed the deadline on the job and days io work waiting on delivery of door and won't give me a refund stay well clear the staff just fob you of with lies

2 days after making a purchase online for a couple of windows I get a phone call saying the quote was wrong and had to make an extra payment of £300. Told I had made a payment of £466 when I had actually made a payment of £598. Then went on to say that if I made an extra payment of £100 they would proceed with the purchase. Absolutely absurd. I've asked for my money back. Pls refund my money.

AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE !! NEARLY £4K ON WINDOWS THAT CANT BE FITTED DUE TO MISSING PARTS , LIES AFTER LIES. ALMOST 3 WEEKS LATER STILL NOT RESOLVED , NO UPDATES. IM TAKING LEGAL ADVICE ABOUT SECTION 75 CLAIM . HONESTLY BUY FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE THIS COMPANY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN . KR

You reported to us that your cill end caps were missing from your delivery and these were immediately despatched to you, however it became clear when you next got in touch with us that these has been lost in transit whilst with the courier. This is of course entirely regrettable but sadly outside of our control. Well my windows have been on order for some time, not a problem as was advised the delivery day soon after ordering. However here I am the day before the confirmed delivery date, I thought I would contact them to check it was coming so I can make sure that someone is available to receive the delivery. I was only then advised that they would be another 22 days. This is longer than the original delivery period. I am now looking for someone to be able to make them sooner, what a waste of time and money. Also I kept getting prompted to post a review, I will only review a company when the have or haven't met the expectations, the order process is nice, they get one star for that,

Despite the ease of ordering through email and on the slick website. The product was delayed beyond the original dates I was told. When the product arrived, it was a completely different product to what was ordered through email and the quality of the product delivered is very poor. I would not recommend this company for their quality, timelines or customer service.

Just Value Doors ask you to review them by offering you £12 cash back if you do so - all before you receive your order. If you look at all the 5 star reviews you'll see that they are from people saying 'the order process was great, can't wait to receive them!'. Yes, the ordering process was great and the staff were helpful. I placed an order in plenty of time for their recommended timelines and emailed to check if I had enough time etc. There was then a slight adjustment of timings at the start due to Flush UPVC windows taking a bit longer than they originally thought but I was still within time and was told that yes everything should be fine and the suggested delivery date would only change if a delivery van broke down etc. Then a few days before delivery I was told that the windows were delayed by a month. When I complained and said that I had builders renovating my bathroom in a few days I was given the disclaimer of 'we do say you shouldn't plan your builders around us, no guarantees were given' etc. I was told that it was a human error due to a miscalculation of timings about the type of window I had ordered, despite there already having been adjustments made for this. When I finally had the windows and managed to get the builders back, they noticed that the windowsills I'd been sent were too short. I was told by Just Value Doors that had I notified them at the time of delivery they would have been able to fix this for me - unfortunately I was not about to risk booking builders again until I had the windows in hand so this was not possible. We had to live with boarded up windows through winter, pay for the scaffolding to remain in place for another month and then use our old windowsills. After complaining I was given a discount that amounted to less than 2% of the purchase price. I was originally impressed with all the 5 star reviews that Just Value Doors have but if you actually read the reviews of people who have received their order you'll see a lot of stories like mine!

You were unfortunately sent a date in error, this was never meant to be sent to you and as you say, this was a human error. Very disappointed with the after sales service, no trims initially supplied with French Door and windows, only to be told they are unable to supply the trims retrospectively, go and buy them from a Builders Merchant. Sales was excellent with no issues.

Avoid at any cost. I lost £3000 because they supplied a wrong door and when I approached them they put the responsibility on me. They advised me on the phone what I needed to order and I did. It then turned out to be the wrong door. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Cowboys

Hi Reza,  Your review is disappointing to read but also entirely incorrect.  You created a quote on our website and subsequently spoke with our sales team who amended the sizes as per your instruction, but no amendments were made to the opening direction of the doors, which is the reason for your complaint. You were then sent an order sign off and this is sent to all customers before manufacturing begins and is a final chance for customers to check over the full specification and then either sign off to begin production or make amendments. You made no amendments and signed this order off.  You were supplied with the order in full and exactly as per your specification requested on the order.  After reviewing the photos you sent in, we have also advised you that you have installed the door in question in reverse, with the internal part of the door currently facing outside. We would strongly recommend installing this correctly.  Your situation is regrettable but is not the fault of Just Value Doors and we strongly dismiss the claim that we are 'cowboys', we have been professional and courteous to you throughout. Grinding hinges on one of the windows. They made up some new sash's slightly smaller to hopefully fix the issue. However, they are refusing to arrange the fitting of the new parts. Meaning I will have to fix their mistake at my own expense.

The reason for your complaint to us was around your inability to fix a glass balcony to the frame and you'll be aware from our correspondence that at no stage did we advise you on the balcony, which is a third party product not purchased from us. I'm pleased that your door has been fitted and operates perfectly, we remain ready to assist you in future with regards to the door we supplied should this be necessary. Ordered 2 doors, both arrived with incorrect spec. Customer Service were no help whatsoever. We tried to establish with them how the error occurred as we discussed the order details with them prior to placing online. When we refused the doors and informed them, we asked if the calls were recorded so that we could go back and check who might be at fault. They said they would, however when I followed up I was told they don't actually record the calls. I asked if it was a mistake when customer service told me that they record calls, and could there also have been a mistake/miscommunication when we spoke prior to ordering. The response was no mistake by them. Since they would take no responsibility or help correcting the order I asked for a quote to fix the 2 doors. I was quoted £150 less than the original order of over £2k. So I've told them that I will keep the original doors. I will now order new doors from another supplier. One other thing. One of the doors was missing a panel that was meant to be delivered by a courier the same day as the main door order. This never turned up. I was told someone called Janet took delivery. We live at the top of a small village, no Janet here. Overall experience, shocking.

Dear Martin, We truly sympathise with your situation and understand mistakes do unfortunately sometimes happen (on both sides) and when we make mistakes, we always put them right and, feel this is what retains customer trust. We have offered you a discount on remaking the doors, however do understand the cost to remake is still significant. Unfortuanlly due to the situation, as a result of your actions, we can't further subsidise the costs for you I'm afraid. Regards your missing panel. We purchased a lot of stuff from u and last order was small items. We were promised and we paid extra for next day despatch. This is last Wednesday We kept on calling Nock who arranged it all. Despite paying extra for next day despatch we booked a carpenter for last Saturday After calling numerous times Nich promised that despatch was to be Friday so we could receive on Saturday We eventually got email saying we will not get til Tuesday 16 There is no guarantee for this. We had to pay carpenter 250 abortive time as goods were not there Can you please advise what you will be doing about Tii’s Yogesh jhandey. Sobims limited

We went through a 6-months long loft conversion and 1st floor rebuild, while leaving in the house, in the middle of winter. And still... dealing with Just Value Doors was by far the most stressful and painful part of it all. First of all, they lied, oh sorry "estimated in good faith", their delivery times, stating 4 to 6 weeks, when in fact it took them nearly 4 months. Their false promises meant that I chose them, over reputable local suppliers. The first part of the products (not all components!), was delivered 8 weeks after the order was placed and paid in full. Further delays were caused by them repeatedly delivering scratched and defective glass panels and wrong components. Overall, it took 4 months for the order to be delivered in full - far cry from the promised 4 to 6 weeks, and the quality was far from what they advertise it to be. Through the whole process, they did very little to listen to my concerns and repeated over and over again that they made no false promises. I was so frustrated at some point that I asked for a partial refund and was ready to return everything and place an order with local suppliers, even if it cost me more money and time. Any such request was flat rejected and they simply said they would not look at any possible compromise until they delivery the full order, no matter how long it took or how many things they got wrong along the way. It was upsetting, frustrating and bordering offensive. They did promise a partial refund as a gesture of good will once the order was completed, although they did not specify any amounts. Well, they refunded £100 from an order of just under 3.5k. I took this as another insult and it proves once again how little do they value and care about their customers. I would never ever use this company again and I share my experience with anyone who cares to listen. If my communication so far with Just Value Doors is anything to go by, I expect them to post a patronising response to this review, twisting things and quoting terms and policies with the inevitable "in good faith" expression that they so love to hide behind. One thing to note is that they ask for a review (many times) when an order is placed and you've had a lovely chat with a nice sales person. Perhaps their results would be different if reviews are left after products were actually delivered. Stay clear from Just Value Doors.
