Numerous time I've had to request refunds and even though the restaurants agree via phone call, just eat constanly email asking for photo evidence, asking what happened, numerous different people email A-line questions like the fbi, even though you explain and send photos you still do not get the refund. They are absolutely appalling and the customer service is shocking to say the least. Awful service.

UPDATE ON 13 APRIL 2024: More fool me for not taking my own advice below. I ordered a chinese meal direct from the local chinese restaurant but got a message saying they can't complete the order and that I need to choose a different payment method (which I haven't got). I pressed the back button and the order had disappeared. I should at that point of phoned the restaurant but I prefer to order stuff online so the order is clear. I thought I'd go through Just Eat again and requested the same order which went through. One minute later I get 2 emails, one from the restaurant saying they have confirmed my original order and one from Just Eat saying the same. I immediately called the restaurant asking them to cancel one of the orders. He said they have started cooking their own order and asked me to cancel it with Just Eat which I did straight away but it cannot be done by calling anyone - you can literally only do it on the app and they said it was over 5 mins since I placed the order so my 2 options were to either keep the order or that I would be charged 100% if I cancelled. I decided to cancel and thought I will have to go back in and sort out the refund but I spent about half an hour trying to find out (with Google help too) how to actually contact a human being at Just Eat. I still had no clue how to do this by the time my freshly cooked meal arrived! Eventually I came across a link to chat online which apparently I was only to use in an emergency if I was worried for my safety - well, no actually since there is no alternative! I waited for an agent and when the robot asked how they could help I started typing my situation and in less than 10 seconds (because I can't type with 2 thumbs on a mobile fast enough for them) they came back with 'are you still there?' Well, yes I am thinking, can't you see when I am typing as I can see when you are? Less than 5 seconds later, 'as we haven't heard from you we are cutting you off now', well thanks! I went on again and when the agent came on I said please can you allow me enough time to type my issue and they said 'sure' so this time I got a bit further. When I finished they said you opted to pay 100%, you pressed the button to confirm you understood that. No my dear, you didn't give me another option to explain that I had already agreed with the restaurant that I would cancel the Just Eat order. She said you were 10 mins before you cancelled the order so the restaurant had already started cooking the order. No my dear, again you are not listening! She said they have already sent my payment to the restaurant so they can't refund me - not my problem if you have done that already. The chat was cut. I since realised on checking my emails I had one saying order placed with Just Eat at 19.04 and then order cancelled at 19.09, therefore (just) within their 5 mins stipulation and not the 10 mins robot woman said it was. Now I have the bother of trying to guess an email address that might work to send them my evidence as a Just Eat email address to put things right is Britain's best kept secret! ORIGINAL REVIEW ON 7 JAN 2024: This company are thieves! I placed an order on 7 Jan 2024. When it arrived one item I ordered to the value of £7.29 was swapped out for an item to the value of just £1.99. I sent photo evidence straight away and got a message back saying they would review and refund within 48 hours. I had requested a refund of £7.29 to my original payment card as it was the restaurant's mistake sending the wrong lesser value item. I waited 7 days before I got an email back saying they had credited my account "to the value of the affected items" so not even confirming the actual value and not explaining why they have provided credit instead of the card refund requested, also not confirming how I can apply the credit to my next order. I decided to place a further order today just to use the credit which they told me was on the account. I could not see where to find the credit so I had to Google how to use the credit. It said "select the Pay from account from the payment options". The only options were, Pay from Paypal, Pay from Google Pay, Pay with cash/card. Basically they lied and did not apply any credit and have stolen my money so I will never use them again. They are just as bad as all the delivery companies who have all let me down.

Order did not arrive. Saying delivered. Everyone is hungry. Takes up to 2 weeks fir a refund. Ridiculous! How is this company STILL running because it's appalling considering you're paying them to deliver also. Not the first time this has happened. And looking at all the negative comments, should be closed down.

Fed up of false TV adverts 8 items missing only got 3 delivered despite this company stealing my money. I'm disabled and rely on online shopping, I don't have a lot of money to live off. These companies bleed you dry then steal from you. I've just found out about Tesco woosh, which I'll be using from now on.

Just eat refused to refund me for two spilled drinks even after sending photographs of the mess. Their response was the foods still edible. I had only requested a refund for the drinks but clearly they want me to suck the residue of the drinks of the soaked delivery bag. They never deal with bad restaurants or drivers just keep customers money. Absolute thieves.

I am not happy about services because it shows your reorder will be in 20 minutes or in One hour . And in 20 minutes the delivery driver called me that he was there from 10 minutes and u didn't reply . I didn't hear any phone call. Communication doesn't exist .

I ordered a coffee and iced drink, the ordered arrived an hour after the order being placed. The coffee and iced drink arrived cold and melted, in addition to this spilt over the other two items in the bag. The driver confirmed there was a problem with the app which delayed him so much and apologised for what happened. The customer service team are completely incompetent, they didn’t offer any goodwill gesture and to add insult to injury didn’t look into the complaint. I have now deleted my account with them, they are cowboys and ripping people off.

Order didn't arrive, tracker showed delivery driver two roads away , then said delivered, asked for refund was refused, they made no attempt to contact driver etc

So it appears I'm adding to an endless list of very similar reviews. Cannot believe the service I have received from just eat today. I made an order last night and I had items missing and something that was different than ordered. I phoned the restaurant and was told the 2 missing items were out of stock but not to worry, contact just eat and they'll refund me. After multiple back and forths today they have refused to refund me and are now just constantly quoting that their response is in line with their policy. So it appears their policy is clearly to outright steal from their customers. I will be creating a chargeback with my banking provider and would urge everyone else dealing with these crooks to do the same.

In my opinion you are far better off to order directly from the restaurant. By all means use Just Eat to see menus but don’t use them. They not only charge the restaurants to participate but they also have very poor policies if something goes wrong. I’ve found dealing direct is much better for both the restaurant and the customer. There were items totalling £13.10 with problems. Just Eat gave me £6+ in credit, not even a refund. Dealing with the restaurant was much more congenial and satisfactory. In my experiences and opinion.

Had issues with an order now they are wanting photos of issue day after the complaint. Started the complaint on app and it did not ask for additional information so poor communication from just eat get you house in order The customer service is an absolute joke

I ask in app how to make changes in order got replied cancel and reorder which I done . Just eat taken my hard earning money for canceled order aswell . Saying i agreed 100 % percent cancellation charges . I am not fool or stupid to agree 100 percent cancellation charges . I ask for proof where I agreed they said no . Avoid this app they take your hard earning money for nothing

If I could give 0 stars I would the driver arrived with the bag ripped open and the drink spilled all over the bag. Needless to say even he had the common sense to apologise and not give me something that was inedible and allowed me to take pictures and took the damaged item away. Despite sending pictures to Just Eat of the driver in a Just Eat jacket holding the ripped bag with spilled drink all over it, they refused to refund me. A disgrace, do not order from them. I’ll be escalating the issue!

Is not a good app,i still do not recevied my money back from a wrong order .The driver did a mistake and not first time,cold food ,not good company.I would not recomand at all,very hard to take you money back if something happend,on facebook are a scam .Do not buy,we work hard for our money and they try to still your money in different ways.If you want to try is your choice but from My point of view,my experiences ,is not good at all. I have all the time bad experience.I deleted the app and I hope I will not find the company like this one.

I have been using just eat for years. But since I moved to Oxford things changed. Last experience yesterday, driver was not a good English speaker so he couldn't find my flat in a 2 floor building! I was waiting outside in the cold (after almost 2 hours waiting for the order) I got really frustrated when he then asked me to come down the building and said I will complaint. So he decided to take the order back to sainsbury (eventhough i edned up coming down!). The sainsbury manager called me and apologised and said I should complain to just eat so they can issue me a refund and he will report this to them as well. There was no contact number for just eat only a form I completed. I then got an email today stating they won't issue my refund and they won't tell me why because its an internal matter! I asked for the complaint form and to speak with the manager but I kept receiving the same reply. So they basically stole my money and didn't bother to give an explanation. No more dealing with just eat for me indeed.
