Joseph Turner was always my go-to place for formal shirts. Bought 2 poplin and 2 end-on-end shirts recently. They are so impossible to iron to any decent standard, they are unusable for work. As this is what they were bought for, it means they are only good for rags now, and therefore quite expensive rags at that. I shall not be going back, great shame

Appalling service on refunds for wrongly sized goods Gave up and sent the new hat to a charity shop Wanted to argue with me about me having returned the hat, saying I had already returned it and received a refund when I had the hat in my hand when I was talking to them

Hi . in the past few years I purchased a number of pure lambswool jumpers and have been very pleased with them but the two I ordered in Dec. last year I'm very disappointed with as the material is a lot thinner and I have found a number of plastic threads in the weave and they bobble like mad the navy blue one especially your quality really has gone down I don't think I'll be purchasing again from you and go back to M and S . Yours sincerely D J Ballard.

Jumpers are decent enough quality - when you wear them once. They shrink after washing. And again on a second. Then you complain and they lecture you what water temperature is when washing. Must be by hand. Ive had plenty jumpers over years and even cheap makes are better than this With FAR better customer service. But then everyone seems to have better customer service than this bunch of grasping Yorkshire - wimmin. They sent the (BADLY shrunken to half size just about) jumper back, saying they refused to replace or refund - a clear case of "read the fine print" - the worst customer service from any clothes company I have ever experienced.

I'm really sorry to hear that you weren't satisfied with the service you received. Please be assured that we take immense pride in our products and the service we offer, and we have over 1000 independent customer reviews on our website, with a 98% customer satisfaction rating, so it is unusual to hear feedback of this nature. We tried to contact you several times by phone so that we could discuss the problem with you. The jumper you purchased from us is 100% lambswool, so washing it in a machine will cause shrinkage. All of our garments have a detailed care label, and this one advised that it must be hand washed. If the jumper had been faulty then of course we would have accepted it back for refund or replacement, however as it was damaged due to the washing procedure we cannot be held responsible for that unfortunately.

I found a smart and comfortable zip-through cardigan: a style which is rare in shops, but exactly right for the mid-season, when we need something adaptable to warm and cold days. Plenty of colours available too.

Purchased pyjamas from this company size large, this usually is a comfortable, albeit roomy fit for me, however Joseph turners are so skimpy I have a job to button the jacket! At nearly £50 I think it's a poor job. They do not answer emails either. Back to M&S
