I make regular purchases from Jobalots, mostly the items are worth buying to re-sell however some are not. Out of my last few purchases of multiple new & returns there were 5 I had to simply throw away as they were in a terrible state and not fit for purpose. I understand it's in the terms and conditions and it's a gamble buyers have to accept, but when the staff that are packing up the orders can clearly see the items they are putting inside the parcels are damaged surely these can be pulled to one side and refunded back? That is my only gripe, but as someone who works on a self-employed basis I don't want to keep throwing money away like that. That said, I will continue to place bids but be a lot more cautious on the type of products I'm sourcing. No glass, ceramics, kettles, mixers, water filters.....I will be stearing clear of these moving forward.

Customer service from Amy was absolutely fine - my 2 star rating was about the actual listing itself and just because something is described as RAW or CUSTOMER RETURNS you can pretty much sell anything and there is no limit to how far from the advertised product it is. How you can sell a rebound net without the actual rebound net and say "oh but it said RAW" and our terms and conditions say it could have missing pieces... I think any right minded person would expect missing fixtures and fittings and possible damage to the frame but come on...the actual main bit of the listing to not be there ...that seems wrong

I like JOBALOTS very much but it is by no means perfect. Can be very risky and even more so now as some buyers of JOBALOTS can resell their purchased items on the site which makes me think that that may be a good way for them to offload all the bad stuff they've purchased leaving the new buyer well and truly out of pocket. So I now check the vendor who is selling the items before I make a bid. If it's not being sold by JOBALOTS I leave it well alone. Sorry but too risky. Other than that JOBALOTS can be a great site to purchase from, but obviously, there is still an element of risk, especially with customer returns. As until it arrives you don't know what the true condition of the items is going to be. Got to say though I have been pretty lucky with most of my purchases but at the same time I have had to bin quite a lot. But to be honest the good tends to outweigh the bad. All I will say though to finish off. If you can't afford the risk then you are best staying away.

Have used several times and had issues which We’re resolved, purchase an item which is described as 2 and only 1 arrived . When I asked for a partial refund which I thought Was fair , I was told it was a return and parts Could be missing, I fully understand these are returns but you Can’t say there are 2items in a lot and then 1 arrives and start telling me about terms and Conditions It’s totally misleading as you will pay more for 2 items .

Mixed experience with some great items and others pretty poor, including a pan minus handle, travel mug minus handle, slime pots with no slime, mat with holes burnt, broken electric carving knife, bag with broken handle, etc. However, the absolute worst one, which really shouldn't have been resold, was a set of 50 white chair covers bought for my daughter's wedding, which arrived absolutely filthy and full of holes, mildew and stains, plus only 46 received. I don't know how anyone got away with returning such items after they'd used them for their wedding! Not usable or repairable and cost me £40! I understand there's no comeback with Jobalots and that customer returns are what they are, but I think items should be repairable.

The payment by midnight is really inconvenient, especially if you are working! There should also be different postage amounts depending upon the weight of the won auction. Paying 5.99 for 0.5kg is unworkable for resale value.

Great easy transition.. Fast communication, fast shipping . Highly recommended. My only feedback would be is to include sizes in listings, several listings are not sized which puts me off purchasing

The new side of the auctions are spot on and never really an issue, the customer returns however can be a minefield, I know it's alot of work, but maybe a heads up or categorise condition may be in order, emg purchased an air fryer ( safety packed in plastic bags, dented on both sides, smelled of used fat and plug system broken, as well as the base broken) I accept fully the risks taken when bidding on customer returns, but maybe a rating of condition could be in orderer

Although bidding is fun and some of item you may win at low prices but its like drawing lucky ticket as some of customer returns are completely worthless and should have gone straight to bin. I would request JLI to not include item that more than 25% of parts are missing or beyond repair. People end up paying almost 60% of actual price and item turned out to be trash. I have experience that multiple time thus the two star.

I recently purchased an item off job a lot brand-new job lot of laptop charges 30 items in total the sale of £120 delivered upon delivery I noticed that two of the items were missing a total resale value of £42 it’s not much in the grand scheme of things but I thought I would send a message to Job a lot and see what they can do to help me as clearly somebody had missed counted and put the wrong amount in the box from the warehouse after contacting them I’d spoken to one other person saying they would let me know when they’re back in stock to be replaced as I didn’t want to refund them and then get contacted the day after to say that they’re no longer going to do anything after looking into the situation they’re not going to replace the items or refund them Bear in mind I’m not a New customer over the past 6 months I’ve spent close to 5K but my most recent orders have been getting worse and worse and their customer service has been declining since Christmas just passed please be aware if you purchase from this company you are taking a risk even when buying brand-new stock like I did from them.

Be careful when purchasing they used a different picture in the item description and send me something completely different, very poor service never got my money back wouldn't use ever again

At the beginning u were selling great stuff at the right price now. Now the items ur selling is not worth bidding on.because u have to pay by midnight so u pay for it. Pay for delivery then the next day u spot something u want then realise u have to pay for delivery again. Some items r not worth bidding on because of the delivery charge. Like some items are cheap then u pay that day then the same thing is on the next day but the starting bid has gone up with no bids

Won a bid on an airfryer. When it arrived it was completey broken, was missing the dial at the top and was filthy, obviously used heavily! When I contacted customer service they said it was my fault as I had bid on a customer return item and they don't check them. I understand now that this is part of their terms and conditions but still feel there is some level of responsibility on their behalf to ensure that items on their site are in, at least, a usable, clean condition. I now have a box full of useless broken parts and am £50 down. The lack of care and/or understanding from the staff I spoke to was shameful.

Description of some items should be 'used' and not customer returns. If an item you're interested in purchasing has been used and develops some faults, these problems should be clearly stated just like eBay where you can easily return items and get a refund.

Some people should not be allowed list items . They sold old and broken items for me. You can tell that the item has been somewhere for ages.

Wouldn't buy customer returns again as they all come broken or with bit's missing so they are a waste of money, have also had items that don't match the product's shown on the auction so it's a bit hit and miss but have also had some good products that I'm really happy with, so it's hit and miss but will be happy to us again

Some very good products on auction with jobalots. Majority of items are new or barely marked and this makes buying items whether individually, small bulk or pallet something that you can choose, suiting your needs and budget. Cons - items often found to be missing and sent to other customers in error. Abd of late. Boxes so over filled and no thought given as to placing fragile items separately that lots are coming through damaged , broken or missing having fallen out of a box whose seams have collapsed
