“Paid, nothing arrived. Near impossible to get hold of anyone. Eventually had to go to my bank to start a charge back claim”

“My delivery never come, i ordered thermal blocks on delivery date nobody give me a call about deley ,few days later i try to call them nobody answer ,one day later sombody pick up the phone when I asked about refund they told me i will get the refund nobody say anything why im not recived my order still i not recived my money back and i call one week ago .I will never order anything from that building suplies ,and if im not recived my many back i will contact my bank worst company i ever see highly not recomended”

“### DO NOT USE### Placed an order for a Fakro flashing kit (£233.81) on the 23/10/2022, payment was taken the same day. Unconfirmed delivery date was 01/11/2022. Still no sign of delivery or date! No response to phone calls or emails. Sent a message via Facebook and they say they're a different company. JMD building & diy supplies has changed to BOSS building & diy supplies. When I sent the attached photo, he said that he sold JMD in October 2022.”

“DO NOT USE!!!! Placed an order on the 9th December for delivery on the 13th paid for the order in full and upfront, received no confirmation of order at all. Then called on the 12th, 13th & 14th and wasn't able to get through to anyone on their main number which was suspicious. Had an email response from them on the 13th saying the goods would be on site on the, eta was requested and tried calling again and no answer. Finally got a response for John who advised they could not answer due to issues at their premises caused by the bad weather, they then took a further 4 hours to come back to me on an ETA saying the delivery would be there today and could not get an ETA as they used a 3rd party transporter. They have since then emailed me back at 3pm saying it will not be there until thursday yet have happily taken money and won't take liability for delays or reimburse for the delayed labour.”

“Ordered 9 ton bags of 20mm gravel on the 22nd of November, currently the 8th of December and I’m still none the wiser as to when it’ll be delivered. Tried calling and emailing countless times to receive nothing in terms of a response. Feel completely ripped off will probably have to now go through the banks for my money back due to the zero communication I’m receiving.”

“Ordered a Fakro Roof Window on 14 Nov 22 delivery saying 3 - 5 days still no sign have tried ringing and emailing to no joy as of the 1 Dec 22 still no reply to emails asking when we will get delivery phone says they are short staffed very poor customer service.”

“So I don't often bother to give reviews but I felt in this case I had to. I, like many of us reading these reviews was put off by the negative reports of things not being delivered and when my items were late I instantly got worried - as it turned out the goods arrived a couple of days later and lets face it - in this climate thats an achievement! Yes, there could have been better communication initially, especially when you are told someone would phone you back and they dont but hey - in the end I got the items I wanted at a much better price than anywhere I could find and the subsequent communications has been excellent. So just to offer hope for those of you reading these reviews and are thinking of using JMD I would not hesitate - maybe cut them some slack in these crazy times. Job well done - Thank you.”

“I placed my order on the 11th April 2020. Was told my order could take up to 3 weeks because of the current pandemic situation. I said I don't mind waiting as long as it's not more than 3 weeks. 4 weeks later still no delivery. After 3 emails to them I finally got a reply to say they would look into it that day. Heard nothing back. Chased them up a further 2 times and still nothing back and no refund. They have £200 of my money. I have now opened up a dispute with paypal to get my money back. Date now 28th May and still nothing? If this company can't cope in the current situation they should suspend trading instead of leading customers on and ignoring them. Take my advise and use a proper builders merchants not a virtual one.”

“Didn't arrive the date arranged. BEWARE...Apology not given, told 'the date requested is only a guide, look at our terms and conditions'! I booked and paid for the delivery 7 days before expecting it and only got the delivery the next day because I called them several times...they again had no idea about the delivery!!!! I was told several different stories including the usual, the lorry broke down, this was confirmed as a lie by personnel ultimately delivering. Im not a fussy person when dealing with building products but when you take time off work to receive a delivery, you at least expect them to know you ordered it and apologise. They were unaware of the delivery the following day too, saying they had no knowledge of the delivery, finally arriving later that day.”

“I stumbled across JMB whilst sourcing some timer for a project and was suspicious of their prices as they were so much cheaper than than other suppliers I had looked at. My suspicions were totally unfounded. Their service was second to none. Fast delivery, great communications and an extremely helpful customer service representative. I will always go to JMB as my first port of call for all of my future timber requirements.”
