"The only cattery which had space near us this summer so I went for it only to be left very disappointed and concerned. The staff here are rude, unwelcoming and have no garnish to the service they offer whatsoever. On enquiring about the availability at the cattery, I went for a visit. I arrived 6 minutes before the opening time of 4pm and was greeted with a huff and ‘we have very strict rules here about arriving before we are open’. They showed me round but tbh clearly weren’t concerned about having my business - they didn’t seem proud to tell me about how they looked after the animals. The sales pitch was non existent. In fact they came across as fed up. The cattery was soulless and it didn’t sound as though they ever gave them cuddles or let them out on a run anywhere. They didn’t seem to keen to let me look in either - the strictly staff only sign told me that! So 2 weeks locked in a 1mx2m hutch. My booking was in 2 parts. I didn’t send my cat back for the second stint as when I picked her up to come home so seemed so unhappy and whined all the way home but also when I mentioned to the lady that we’d see her again in a few days time she replied abruptly with ‘well I wouldn’t know you’d have to check in the office’. I get she might not know but wouldn’t ‘oh is she, how lovely, well we look forward to seeing you again then’ have been a nicer response. So no happy staff, no frills, no manners, no service and I’m not actually sure that they like animals! One experience I won’t be repeating."
