“From the first contact with Italian Short Breaks, we had excellent, friendly service. Hannah, who booked everything for us, listened to what I wanted and put together a first class itinerary and plan for our trip and it certainly didn't disappoint. We visited Verona to see the Outdoor Opera and then onto Venice and not one element was disappointing. The Hotels Hannah recommended in both Cities were absolutely excellent. Hotel Accedamia in Verona was beautiful and in the most central location, yet very quiet and peaceful. Hotel Metropole in Venice was a true piece of Venetian Style with antiques everywhere including the room and a real Gothic Venetian stye to it and again, great location, only a few hundred meters from St Marks Square and overlookingvthe Lagoon. We were met in Verona and Venice and all our transfers were slick and well co-ordinated. I can't rate this company highly enough and would suggest anyone wanting a bespoke trip to Italy to contact them and ask for Hannah.”

“V good few days in Verona no problems except heat 36-37 over the 4 days. Hotel Accademia v comfortable and well run and in the middle of everything. Great food ,shopping ,atmosphere. Opera in the arena v special venue, easy access from the hotel.”

“Excellent hotels, wonderful opera and faultless transfers. The Easyjet outbound flight was changed, but not the fault of Italian Shotty Breaks. It actually gave us more time in Verona. There was a hitch with the second hotel, but they resolved it swiftly and we were given a room upgrade.”

“We have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our Italian short break in Verona. Everthing went to plan and we were very well cared for. At all times. Hotel Accademia is very welcoming and luxurious. Its position right in the heart of Verona was perfect for easy walking everywhere. Provision of a tourist card made days enjoyable and stress free. We would highly recommend the company for a special break or anytime a treat is needed.”

“Verona in the Opera season was glorious. The Hotel Acadeia was located centrally and was well equipped to deal with temperatures of 38 deg? Transfers went like clockwork. Our agent answered our queries promptly and informitabely. Easyjet were not good on the way back with delayed departure then further delay waiting for a docking gate. Opera staff confiscated our water bottle and silent electric fan the argument that these were hard plastic!?”

Good morning John, Thank you for your feedback on your Verona trip. I am surprised to hear of you having your water bottle and fan confiscated at the Arena. I know they have a limit on the amount of liquids they allow in, but this is only if you take 1 litre plus, so I will check into this. I would have thought your fan would not be a problem either, so sorry to hear you had this frustration. Sadly Easyjet have not had the best season, something very evident in the news at the moment. Between them and French Air Traffic Control strikes this summer, we have seen very few flights taking off and landing on time. I hope the above points notwithstanding, you still had a wonderful time in Verona and some happy memories to counteract the not so good. Kind regards Hannah

“Everything was well organised, lots of useful and accurate information, I will certainly use Italian Short Breaks again, and recommend them to my friends. I thought the inclusion of tickets to the Venice Museum and Ducal Palace was a very good idea, and the seat at the opera was ideal. Some VERY minor points, 1) Even though Hotel Touring was excellent in general, especially the staff, there was not enough storage space. In the room I had, (404), the recess to the left of the television would be more useful if it was converted to drawers or a wardrobe. Also, I had to ask for milk for the in-room coffee-making facilities. 2). The Hotel Metropole was also excellent, but it did not have coffee-making facilities in the room, (227), but communal ones in the corridor. Strangely, these also did not have any milk. Also, the prices were a bit steep, even for a five-star hotel. I think 44 Euros for a chicken burger is a bit steep. 3). The instructions I was given went into great detail about where the water taxis were in Venice, so I went there to wait for a representative. Apparently, it was a "meet and greet" at the railway station, not the water taxi rank. Fortunately, the representative, (whose name I didn't catch), was kind and patient and sorted things out. All in all, pretty much everything went according to plan, which is a world record for me. Thanks very much.”

“We visited Verona for the opera festival and had the best seats in the house for Madame Butterfly. It was perfect, one of those memorable experiences. We stayed at the Academia, right in the heart of the city. It's a lovely hotel - comfortable, great breakfast - and, without exception, the staff are warm and friendly and helpful. We also had a few days in Lake Garda at the Savoy Palace, another good hotel. All our arrangements, including the private transfers, worked perfectly (thank you, Hannah!). A truly special holiday.”

“I recently took the Opera break to Verona. Overall it was an excellent break and having everything included made the holiday run very smoothly. The only additional cost was Easy Jet check in , £32. The Hotel Baglioni was in a superb position just a few minutes walk from the opera. The hotel was very clean, staff helpful and a lovely outdoor breakfast area. The opera tickets were great, we were 9 rows from the front and in the centre so an excellent vantage point. The opera was over three hours long and finished well past midnight so having a premium seat ( a proper chair and not a stone step) and located close to the hotel was really helpful. Verona is stunning and a good place to stroll around away from the crowds of other Italian cities. It is also well placed to travel to other destinations and we did day trips to Lake Guarda and Venice easily by train.”

“A great Italian break with this company , transfers were on time and clean and comfortable, the hotel was in a great location very clean and comfortable with very nice staff, every day between 3-5 pm there would be a drinks and biscuits for you to come back to in the lounge, we are really not breakfast people , but went twice whilst we were here , there was a good selection of food and teas coffees juices etc , the hotel although in the middle of town and s very calm and relaxing You are spoilt for restaurants and bars we had amazing food out and fabulous sights to see We attended the Opera and dressed up which made it very special, the platinum seats were amazing and we also attended Placido Domingo too which was fantastic We went to The Lakes for a couple of days which was breathtaking, although I choose our hotel (Bella Riva) 5 * Italian breaks organised everything, I even requested a transfer from Siommone in a private boat transfer to our hotel in the lakes , weather permitting of course ,it was fantastic we were very lucky with the weather , the organisation was first class from start to finish, I would highly recommend this company”
