“Two days in Verona plus 5 at Lake Garda. Italian Short Break, excellently organised by Weekend A la Carte from start to finish. Hotel Firenze in Verona, good basic hotel . Standard rooms small so go for the upgrade. Included breakfast had a good range including hot food. Tickets for Carmen upgraded to platinum foc. Row 3 in the centre, fantastic! Would recommend Restaurant close to Romeo and Juliet. Balcony. Travattoria Pompier, very popular so book ahead , food and service excellent at a reasonable price. Excellent personal transfer by car to Grande Hotel Garonne. Lake Garda , perfect. Excellent room with balcony and Lake view. A La Carte Restaurant in the hotel a little expensive but food excellent . Included breakfast very good with excellent range. Plenty of restaurants locally , R. Nicholas well worth a visit. Perfect private transfer to the airport. This was a special break to celebrate my wife’s birthday, delayed by two years. Excellent support throughout by Hannah at Weekend a la Carte. All in all a perfect week and I would recommend anyone to use them. Thank you all.”

“Lovely trip to Verona. The hotel was lovely, the opera was spectacular, the day trip to lake Garda was great. The only disappointment was the 'wine tasting' and meal, which was not what we expected. There was no wine tasting or even explanation of the wine, we were just shown to a table and given 2 glasses of prosecco and a glass of red wine with the meal.”

“Well organised with good selection of hotels. The company are easy to contact, even when abroad, and very accommodating. We have been to Italy with Italian Short Breaks before and would use them again.”

“A lovely hotel, very handy for the centre of Verona. The chauffeur from the Airport was brilliant.What can I say about the Opera, words don't do it justice, incredible.The moon rose as the opera Carmen was half way through, very special.”

“We had a fantastic time in Verona. Flights, transfers, hotel and seats at the opera were all first class. The arrangements made by Weeknd a la Carte suited our party perfectly. We have booked with them previously and will do so again.”

“The organisation from start to finish was excellent. The communications from "Italian Short Breaks" was also first class. Unfortunately, we were not enamoured by the Hotel, the rooms were small and we had issues with ants in our bedroom. The shower could only be likened to getting into a M.I.R scanner and very claustrophobic. The buffet breakfasts provided you were in the dining room very early were good however, if you were in the 8/8.30 contingent you had to ask the waitresses if they were going to replenish many of the items that had been available earlier, such as bread, butter and cold meats. I would not want to stay at this Hotel again. But, having said all that the staff were excellent and attentive. The opera was stunning and though it did not finish until 1.30 am it was worth every penny paid. I thank everyone that was involved in our booking and we shall keep you in mind when we look at another trip to Italy. Many thanks, Ian M.”

“Every detail that we discussed was seen to, in a professional and helpful manner. The quality of each aspect of our trip was consistently excellent, from the hotels and bedrooms, to drivers & transport vehicles and the seats at the Opera. Nothing was overlooked, despite several of our last minute problems, the trip was seamless and wonderful. I would very confidently recommend Italian Short Breaks to every one I know!”

“What a great trip! We had the best seats at the Verona opera. The Hotel Accadamia is very central but quiet and is excellent. We were driven in style to The Grand Hotel in Gardone for the two day stay in what is a stunning setting. That too was excellent. The entire trip went like clockwork, (even at Manchester airport). Thank you very much Hannah. I'm sure we will return.”

“A superb service. we originally booked pre pandemic and Hannah did a marvellous job booking & confirming flights/trains/hotels/events/transfers…and then early pandemic - having to cancel & repeat … and then late pandemic – having to cancel & repeat again and finally (third time lucky) finalising what turned out to be an extremely enjoyable seven day break in Verona and Venice. Both hotels (Accademia and Metropole)were high quality in all respects and being centrally located were a very good base to explore. All the wrap-around stuff (transfers etc) that are important for a smooth break worked well and we will probably use the company again.”

“We had a wonderful short break in Verona, the hotel Firenze was in a very good location to walk to the places of interest and a stones throw from the arena, excellent bars and restaurants. Our seats at the opera we're exceptional and we enjoyed every minute. The only complaint was we were unaware we didn't have pre-booked seats on our flights. It would have been helpful, and cheaper, to have been told in advance. As I checked in 9 days before our flight the only available seats together were extra leg room. Hannah did a excellent job otherwise in what has been a difficult 2 years.”

“Our trip to Milan was delayed by 2 years due to Covid. The cancellation was handled efficiently. Throughout the past 2 years we were kept informed of developments so that we could decide when to rebook the trip. The rebooking was handled efficiently, including a last minute flight cancellation. The trip included flights,transfers, hotel, opera, and da Vinci’s Last Supper. We did not have any problems with the bookings made by Italian Short Breaks. The Italian Short Breaks staff were very efficient and friendly. In particular we would like to thank Hannah, who rearranged our trip, for her attention to the details of the trip and getting everything right. She responded very quickly to our emails and was very efficient and friendly throughout.”

“From start to finish our experience with Italian Short Breaks was first class.They organised a four night break on Lake Maggiore, followed by a day in Milan and a night at La Scala to see Rigoletto with THE Rigoletto, the one and only Leo Nucci, for which we had 5th row stall seats. The Hotels were excellent and the transfers went like clockwork. Our driver from Milan to Malpensa airport, sadly on our way home was very entertaining and informative. We would definitely use Italian Short Breaks again and would highly recommend their service.”
