“I am very happy with my glasses. I went for the cheaper varifocal option and have no problems adjusting quickly to levels of distance. And I was then able to buy two pairs at once. The frames are solid, over a month in and they are still tight. They don’t leave marks on my nose either. I dealt with Pat, the manager in Manchester St Anns square who is a delightful and informed specialist.”

“I just received my third pair of IOLLA lenses. I am still wearing my second pair, sadly the ones just ordered are to replace my Capaldi sunglasses that were stolen. Whether it's in the store or online, the customer service staff just go above and beyond. It's a pleasure. I love the frames, they are high quality and they last. The new tetrahedron boxes are the loveliest blue.”

“I already have two Iolla glasses with my current prescription (a Fergusson and a Hoy), but wanted something different and decided to order a Munro glasses. It was the first time I’ve made an order online, but have been a happy customer from the Argyle St shop since 2019. The order arrived quickly, but as soon as I put them on I noticed a big difference between the new glasses and my current ones. It was not comfortable and it gave me a headache shortly after. Considering my current two Iolla glasses have the same prescription and are very comfortable, I decided to take my new pair to the shop in Argyle Street to get it checked. The shop assistants were very helpful. But, as they didn’t find anything wrong with it, they sent it to the lab to get it checked there. The lab then compared the specifications of my new glasses to those of the Hoy and Ferguson glasses and found a few very small differences. One of them was that they used a different lens material in my new Munro glasses, which could cause very minor vision changes. The second reason and perhaps more significant was the size of the frame. They explained that distortions increase a little towards the outer edge of the lens and this becomes more pronounced in stronger prescriptions and larger glasses (like Munro compared to Hoy). The Iolla team kindly agreed to reglaze new glasses with a smaller frame and the same lens material I have in my Hoy and Fergusson. This resulted in a comfortable new pair! And my favourite so far! Big thanks to Laura at Iolla and colleagues for listening to my concerns and explaining everything well! I felt heard and supported throughout his process. I keep recommending Iolla to my friends and will come back for my future glasses.”
