“The journey from Edinburgh to Highlands was a beautiful experience. The stories that Peter told us about tribal infighting were entertaining and educational. The ballads he played were touching and heart rendering as they were based on reality. The lake cruise was enjoyable but we could not spot the monster, as expected. The highpoint was visit to the distillery - Wish they could have made more pitstops on the way to the highlands. On the whole a good trip. Thanks to all who organised.”

“I had a good experience with International Friends to go from the airport to the hall residence at the University of Westminster.”

“Great trip to Edinburgh. Andrew Appleton, the guide that met us and helped with the arrangement is fantastic.”

“First of all, thank you for your efforts, I understand that it's not easy coordinating for large numbers of people. Second of all, there are a couple of points I'd like to mention. Our taxi took a long time to arrive (more than an 1 hour and half), and dropped us at the University of Westminster (Harrow Campus) but we had to carry our luggage across the university to the halls, because we were dropped at the main entrance not the dorm entrance. I suggest letting the drivers know that the Northwick Park Station entrance is a lot closer to the entrance of the dorms (less than a 2 mins walk).”

“They were right on time for both pick up to the ship and pick up from the ship. They came directly to our hotel even though our hotel was not on their list. The drivers were courteous and helpful. We have absolutely no complaints.”

“We went on a semi-private Downton Abbey tour, which included Highclere Castle, Bampton and Yew Tree Farm. The pick-up location was excellent for us, and the driver was very friendly, but our drop off was a different location than we were originally told it would be (when we boarded the bus to come home, they informed us that they changed the drop-off, which led us to believe that the drop-off was changed to accommodate the staff rather than the passengers). Our guide didn't join us until we arrived at Yew Tree Farm, so we felt that there was a lot of missed opportunity for questions and discussion from out-of-towners, along the way. The guide did drive back to London, and said she would cover things on the return trip, but it didn't happen. The lunch at Highclere was limited, and very crowded, causing lines to be long. I'm sure they know in advance how many people are coming, so it should have been handled better. In addition, the tables weren't cleared quickly, and there were a lot of bees flying around. We loved the small bus, but we are not sure the additional cost was worth it.”

“Drivers were great and punctual. Bit of confusion with the coordinator at the Southampton cruise terminal on the return day matching us with the right driver, but the driver (Brittania Chauffeurs) was really on top of the situation and sorted it out. Well done.”

“This trip was very well organized. Our guide was very friendly and approachable. The reason for the 4 star rather than 5 star review, is that I thought the guest house was a quite far from the center. This could be a challenge for anyone who is not that mobile.”

“The tour was what we expected. The guide was friendly, accommodating and knowledgable. The transportation was fine. One thought, the drop off location was different than the pick up. This was not an issue, but it would have been nice to know beforehand.”

Paul the driver dropped us off at the wrong cruise terminal, luggage went on ship we went up to check in but on the Arcadia ship not Aurora. Luggage handlers picked up mistake and it was sorted out, but we had to pay for a taxi to our ship. Not the best start to our cruise. Julie and Ann Australia”

“Nice prompt and friendly service, not both driver and host. Narration was informative. Maybe a little overpriced compared to some alternatives, but other than that, it was great.”

“Pickup at port was easy. Drive to tour and hotel was smooth. We would have wanted more time on the tour, 3 hours was not close to enough to see the Harry Potter Studios!”

“Excellent tour. Pleasant staff at Dover organized us well, and the timing was better than I expected, with 3.5 h to spend at the Warner Brothers Studio. My only concern was the hotel drop offs. The tour guide and the driver both seemed very stressed to try to map the drop-off route and navigate the bus to each hotel. It certainly seemed a difficult task. At one point, after hotel drop-off #2 (of at least 6), about 90min after leaving the Studios, my 13 year old son asked our bus driver if he could run in to the hotel to use the toilet. The driver actually yelled back at him that he couldn't be expected to wait - the yelling on the sidewalk was audible inside the bus! My son returned to the bus and had to wait uncomfortably for another hour. While I empathize with the difficulty of this drop-off task, on London streets, in the rain, I suggest that if you are operating tours that necessarily will include children, such as this one, that you consider using a bus with a toilet on board, or have some contingency for a break, as occurred en route to the Studios. Thank you for what was otherwise a very well run and extremely enjoyable tour.”
