I experienced a number of problems with the portal. Initially I found it hard to access when I eventually overcame that I found it impossible to make a payment or change the direct debit instructions. Eventually I had to give up and do all the relevant transactions via the phone.

We finally decided on taking up your offer as we were out of time searching for a suitable renewal policy. Your service is fast at organizing and taking the payment but you fall flat on your face at responding to your emails. We emailed you twice to inquire about a couple of the clauses which gave us concern within the 14 day cooling off period: 1. admin@intasure.com date: 4 December 2015 at 11:49 2. Your website form , callback: 9:28am 8th Dec 2015 Unfortunately we never received any replies. We are left feeling God for bid we ever need to make a claim! Without prejudice stuart

This year there was a problem with my credit card. I am still uncertain as to whether it was the fault of the credit card company or Intasure. It was finally resolved after a whole morning of phone calls to the credit card company and Intasure. It was the third call to Intasure when it was finally resolved. There should have been no problem as it was the same card as used in two previous years. Fortunately the third person restored my faith, renewed my policy and I shall be staying with Intasure and I hope to be able to give the same score next time as in 2014!!!!!

I have been using Quote Desk - Intasure for many years and have had the same problem each year! This year again I had the same problem of your advisors not being able to understand your policies. This year was beyond all realm's of customer satisfaction and politeness. When I explained to the advisor Eric what I believed I was covered for he told me I was not covered for this. I explained that I had experienced the same problem each year and he responded by saying that I had not as I was not covered, so I'm lying now am I ?????? I was completely devastated with his attitude and I refusal to look into the policy properly, so I politely said ok and put the phone down. 10 minutes later my husband received a very apologetic call from Eric saying that he had spoken to the underwriters and they had advised him that I was correct and the policy covered me for 250 sitters. I have since spoken to Eric and he has apologised, but I do feel that it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

I had tried to renew my policy online on the renewal day but there was no way to do this. I rang to find out why and was told that "my policy is due to renew today, but if I want to renew my policy online then I must do so on the day before my renewal day because on the renewal day the system won't let me do it". Your operative didn't seem to appreciate how silly this was! So with inconvenience to both myself and your operative we proceeded to carryout the renewal verbally. This malfunction warrants a review (at best) of poor.

A long standing customer with good claim history , and yet again my policy premium increases. As you see my portfolio of properties with you is slowly decreasing as I am moving to other insurers ax did when I can. I am told it is because I have now sub dived a room and made it into a 2 bedroom flat that it costs more.. Not sure why the risk to you is any greater as you are still insuring the same sq footage and it still sleeps the same number, just with a little more privacy! Where are my rewards for no claims and customer loyalty? Regards Sally ( landlord of 15 properties)

It would be better if you offer the opportunity to pay by direct debit in ONE payment, without any extra charges being added. We have used your company for the past 6 years, but the charges are going up each year despite no claims being made during this time span. There is not any bonus for re insuring with your company.

I have had to chase for the Insurance Quote and have had to amend information supplied, even though I had spelt out the names.

I was sent a quote via email, which was good. when I advised over email that I would be potentially be moving home soon I was sent a new quote which was good, but I thought I had been very clear that it was all in principle and that it was not final....apparently not as when I phoned on Monday 21st to speak with an advisor my details had all been changed to the new address I had quoted - premature to say the least since I don't live there yet! when speaking with an advisor I was quite clear about intention to move on 1st October - ten days after required renewal date on current home - and I had to spend a lot of time working out the cheapest way not to be charged admin fees if/when I do move home in the next year. seems ridiculous to me, as I'm being clear from the start that a move is likely to happen within a few weeks and the advisor couldn't do anything to prevent admin fees (she did try her best but she spoke with her manager and it was refused). What I wanted to do was pay my annual fee and then pay and excess incurred by moving to a bigger house at a later date but that wasn't possible. Now I have to cancel within 30 days if I move .....all very irritating, another phone call I don't need to be spending time on when I'm trying to move house I also think you need to have some opening hours on a Sunday.

Intasure's a company that's hard to like. For a UK citizen permanently living in Europe, you're not exactly spoiled for choice when it comes to property/content insurers offering a decent level of cover. In fact, Intasure seem to be the only one. And it's a position of which they take the fullest advantage. Of course you can't actually tell how good an insurance co is until you have to make claim - and fortunately, I've never had to do this with Intasure. But as the rest of their operation isn't especially user-unfriendly, it doesn't exactly inspire confidence that a claim would be handled quickly and sympathetically. On personal experience, a few things I especially dislike about Intasure. - the fact that up to 40% of the premium cost is added to cover 'Taxes and Charges' - and then a 'Transaction Processing Charge' is levied on top of that. Sure - Insurance Tax is unavoidable. But there's an utter lack of transparency as to what 'Charges' actually cover. No info whatsoever. And the 'Transaction Processing Charge' is simply a rip-off. How much does it normally cost to settle a bill by a BACS Transfer ? Lets see now...oh look - nothing. - and the staff quality is pretty variable. The people you speak to at first point of contact clearly stick to a rigidly-imposed set of operating rules from which they're either unable or unwilling to change at their discretion. Insist on going a little further up the food chain and you *will* speak to a human being who's capable of using judgement/common sense to resolve an issue. Time consuming and unnecessary. - and I've just received no fewer than THREE identical sets of policy documents for the four properties I have with Intasure. That's bad enough, but worse was the fact I had to check everything to ensure it actually *was* identical - rather than run the risk of binning something important. Bottom line is I use this company because I literally have no alternative. But would I recommend them ? Not if you can find a viable alternative.

I renewed this policy by phone yesterday, then when I printed out my schedule I noticed that an £8.18 charge had been added. I called to query this and was told it was due to bank charges. I immediately called to cancel as a matter of principal as this should have been included on my original quotation. I also run a business and have very hefty bank charges, I cannot just split these with my customers! I have renewed this with FRESH as they do not add this charge on (or if they do it's absorbed in the original quote which is what they stick to).

We received an e mail to remind us that our insurance was due for renewal. This was fine as I had overlooked the first reminder. The second e mail said that you had tried to contact us by phone but without success. This was clearly not true. If we were not in when you called it would have been possible to leave a message. I sent an e mail to say that I would respond two days later. That evening while we were out a phone message had been left with a number to call. I tried to call one day later as I was out all the next day. The 0345 number left and on the e mail did not work. The message said that 'this number is not accepting calls' Nor did the land line number work. It just cut off. I eventually got through by dialling a general enquiries number on the web site. Once through I was able to complete the transaction with no problem. But you need to sort out your phone numbers.

The service was efficient, but the renewal quote was significantly increased from last year. When I rang and questioned it I was offered a reduced quote for exactly the same cover. It would be so much better if insurance companies offered their best price to existing customers straightaway, instead of trying to scam them first and only reducing the price when it is challenged.

Was unable to purchase quote online, when I received the call back the quote was more expensive, when I confirmed that a specified item was on the claim I was told what the item was and the details but it was not included on the quote, this added made the quote more expensive again.

The agent I spoke to was apologetic enough about the fact that my policy didn't cover me for what I had hoped, but his general tone during the rest of the conversation was throwaway and uninterested: he read out material very fast and in a formulaic way that did not aid understanding.

Renewed holiday home insurance in May.Was appalled when I noticed that the admin charges compared to the previous year had gone up almost 100% and emailed Intasure to enquire why this was the case. The reply I received was vague and did not answer my question.I wrote for further clarification but to know avail but was issued with a small deduction off the premium. I did not ask for this but had asked for an explanation for the hike in the administration charge. Either there is a problem with the comprehension skills of Intasure staff or the company is failing to show transparency in their dealings with customers. I am not impressed by this aspect of customer service and think it needs attention by management.Hopefully this will happen before my next renewal in August.
