“Since joining Independent Cottages in 2019, we have felt the service has been extremely proactive and helpful. If you need advise or have a query Sarah will reply straight away. It was at the time a really big deal for us to let out our cottage, we have been pleasantly surprised at how simple the whole process was made - due to Sarah talking us through. “I have been with Independent Cottages for a few years now. Before I list on a site, I always test it out as a potential guest, to make sure that filters allow my property and the special facilities that I offer are easily found by guests searching for somewhere new to stay. There is nothing worse, for example, than having to read numerous properties' details only to find that they will not allow your dog to stay. On first subscribing to the site, my advert was quickly produced to a very high standard. Since then, any emails to Sarah have been answered promptly and I have received great support without any delays. This site fills a gap in the market as guests do not pay the extortionate commission charges and booking fees that most other sites charge either covertly or overtly. As an owner I can read the news information provided by Sarah for us which is very useful. I also have sufficient access to modify and update my advert. I regularly receive bookings from the site, and have used it myself to find properties to stay in.”

The yearly subscription fee is less than the commission I would pay on just one week booking via an OTA. “Ashdene holiday cottage. Always found a consistent flow of traffic from Independent Cottages and considering they are competing with the big boys they are professional, polite and helpful. The pricing is extremely competitive, one slight niggle I wish they had a section for cottages with exclusive Indoor Swimming pools and Hot Tub's they are the most popular but sadly you need to scroll to the bottom of the main page or navigate through pages to get to this.”

“Without hesitation, I rate Independent Cottages 'very good'. In fact I would rate them excellent if that category was available. I was introduced to them last year and after doing some initial research decided to go ahead with advertising our holiday cottage. I loved the layout of the website and found Sarah to be friendly, efficient and professional. We have had more enquiries than I ever imagined we would and from these a healthy number of bookings have been confirmed. Unlike many other booking sites, there is just a one off fee and no commission charges, so in my view provides excellent value for money. So much so, i have just renewed again for a further year. I would recommend Sarah and Independent Cottages to anyone thinking of renting out their holiday home. A big thank you Sarah from Alan & James at Chauffeur's Cottage.”

I find that the late booking facility on their website ensures that our cottages are usually occupied even if we have an extremely late cancellation.
