“I have been with Independent Cottages for a few years now. Before I list on a site, I always test it out as a potential guest, to make sure that filters allow my property and the special facilities that I offer are easily found by guests searching for somewhere new to stay. There is nothing worse, for example, than having to read numerous properties' details only to find that they will not allow your dog to stay. On first subscribing to the site, my advert was quickly produced to a very high standard. Since then, any emails to Sarah have been answered promptly and I have received great support without any delays. This site fills a gap in the market as guests do not pay the extortionate commission charges and booking fees that most other sites charge either covertly or overtly. As an owner I can read the news information provided by Sarah for us which is very useful. I also have sufficient access to modify and update my advert. I regularly receive bookings from the site, and have used it myself to find properties to stay in.”

“I have been with Independent cottages.co.uk for 4 years and have 2 self catering cottages that I advertise on their platform. From day one, my bookings increased. When you do a search to self catering cottages in a particular area/location, they always come up on the 1st page. So great news for me and them! Thank you Independent Cottages for having such a profile.”

“We have been advertising our property in Norfolk with Independent Cottages since 2016 and have been extremely happy with the both the service that Sarah & team provide and the number of enquiries and bookings that we have received through the site. The site is easy to use and the support from Sarah is great. We advertise with all the other large sites, but prefer the contact that we get with our guests through Independent Cottages and have more control over the bookings and the price our guests pay for their holiday. We would not hesitate in recommending Independent Cottages to other property owners.”

“I have been advertising my Lake District cottage for some years with Independent Cottages and have found their site to be comprehensive and easy to manage especially with Sarah always willing to help out with any problems that arise. I think the holiday renting public are becoming aware that renting directly from owners, rather than through letting companies, is beneficial all round with no booking fee and the ability to actually make personal contact with owners.”

“Absolutely delighted with the customer service from Sarah, enquiries & bookings received. I have been with Independent cottages for over 3 years and found it excellent value for money. The yearly subscription fee is less than the commission I would pay on just one week booking via an OTA. Love the fact that they have "Piano" listed under the facilities too as we have a Boston Baby Grand. Many thanks Rae”

“Working with Sarah from independent cottages has been a great experience , the process is so simple to set up , customer service is excellent , they know what they are doing and go the extra mile , in a friendly and relax way , supporting you should you need it . the price is fair , we had our first booking within two daysof placing our property , and have continued to receive plenty of bookings and have met some lovely guests along the way .”

I have been very impressed with the amount of enquiries and bookings I have received. In particular, I have found their last minute availability advertising to be particularly productive, for which there are no additional charges, unlike some sites. On top of the very reasonable subscription fee, Independent Cottages are very proactive on promoting their hosts' cottages on other platforms such as Twitter and Facebook etc. Would definitely recommend.”

Especially helpful for me as a new owner. It has been a difficult year with Covid causing chaos the site has been brilliant at keeping us abreast of all the latest regulations.
