I ordered KFC on the website for delivery. The order was confirmed and I received an order number. The order was supposed to be delivered by Deliveroo. After waiting over 2 hours for the food to arrive, and multiple calls to Deliveroo regarding the order and Deliveroo just telling us the driver was on his way to the restaurant and being lied to by customer service, my husband decided to drive to KFC. When he arrived, KFC said that the order wasn’t even in their system and that 5 drivers had already come to try to collect it. None of those drivers ever thought to contact us and let us know the order was not in the system and that our food had not even been prepared yet (close to 3 hours after the order was placed!!). The order was definitely in Deliveroo‘s system because they kept pulling it up and giving me so called updates on the order. My husband had to re-order everything and bring it home himself. We also tried to call the restaurant while we were waiting and couldn’t get an answer. This is absolutely unacceptable!

Absolutely awful pizza, was supposed to be gluten free but wasn't! Made me ill. Also cold. Response to my complaint was pointless. And they clearly make up lots of positive reviews on their site. First time I'd used them, never again!

Do not prefer from them at all refused a refund for something I did not get and shop even confirmed it but still refused to give me my £36 back nice one deliveroo

No wonder why they have 1 star reviewes. They have taken my money not delivered my food eventhough it said delivered on website and furthermore refused to return my money. on my half an hour lunch break they took my money, not delivered my food and ruined my day and work. I spoke to the manager who said his name was joshua and he was even worse. they said the driver waited 9 minutes. but how am i supposed to know when he came if he doesnt call or ring the buzzer whoch i included in the address and my phone number. They deserve to be closed. They should be monitored considering all the bad reviews they received.

I ordered on the way home picking a restaurant very close to where I live. The software picked a restaurant where I was at the time I ordered. Stupid

Got sent the the wrong order. Had to wait another hour for our new order to arrive and in the meantime, my friend had to leave to catch his train never receiving his food. Deliveroo would not refund us.

Do not use these cowboys. Went to wrong addresses. Then I was told cant deliver. Was promised refund. Now saying was delivered so no refund. Customer service, management Micky mouse. Credit card company now involved

if i could give 0 stars i would, i ordered a mcdonalds today just for the calls to not be good english, i tried hard to understand whats he was saying but his accent was too complicated. he then said something abouf delivery so i check if my food is outside, i look on the deliveroo map to see that the delivery man got the wrong house even though i put the right adress he then parks 15 steps away from my house so im like wait let me put some shoes on, i go up to him to get my food keep in my mind he saw me coming up but instead drives away, i contacted everyone and they all refused to give me a refund, absolutely horrendous!!!

My order never arrived and deliveroo didn't do anything as the restaurant claimed to deliver the order,even though I was constantly talking on the chat with them explaining that nothing has been delivered. Better avoid to order as you will definitely loose your money.

DO NOT ever use this app. Scammed me over £100 and this happened MULTIPLE times. Order was never delivered, I called customer service and guess what they can’t do anything cos ”on our end the rider marked arrived and waited so there’s nothing we can do”. I was literally waiting at the door for 20mins and no the driver did not arrive, and did not contact me at all either. Deliveroo, I hope you go bankrupt soon.

I'm beyond furious! We never received our order, but because the restaurant claimed it was delivered 2.5 hours late, Deliveroo will do NOTHING. We have spent our hard-earned money on nothing, and Deliveroo is not willing to take any responsibility or offer a resolution. It's outrageous that they have no policy in place to protect their customers from this type of situation. I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of customer support and protection from Deliveroo. Their service is a complete waste of time and money, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Deliveroo needs to step up their game and take responsibility for their failures.

Working with KFC, the order was over 1hr30mis late, missing the side, food was cold, drink was warm. Both KFC & Deliveroo blamed the other & kept sending me back & forth for the refund on the missing item & refused to refund for the rest of the bad service. Save your time & money & use JustEat!

Absolutely awful company I don't know how they get away with it! I'm glad to see all the bad reviews on Trustpilot all saying the same thing as I no longer feel alone, and obviously will not be getting my refund no matter how hard a try. I bought a gift card which would not add to my account. I contacted via live chat MULTIPLE times, and they were completely useless everytime. Said they will escalated query to the escalations team and will email back, which the first 3 times I did not receive any email regarding the matter to them, then on the 4th attempt I had a reply saying they're going to terminate my account!! I am so confused as to why they've come to this decision. They're also refusing to give me a refund for this money I've wasted on a gift card with them. I swear it's a set up...and it is so difficult to get a reply from them. On live chat also they'll transfer you to a manager where they will just say the same robotic thing over and over again, avoid your question then end the chat. Seriously, stay away from this awful company!! By far the worst customer service I've ever had from anywhere. I'm in absolute disgust.

Terrible Customer Service. Really really terrible. I urge you to avoid them. Three food items were not received, but were paid for, Deliveroo refuse to refund, despite an hour of ‘chat’ and multiple emails. How can anyone trust the company will refund food items that aren’t delivered? Without this trust, you should not use this company. The issue that I have experienced was: I ordered a takeaway on 22/4/23, after a long shift, for my family. Three of the items I ordered and paid for weren’t delivered. - The restaurant must have run out, they sent three random alternatives that none of us could eat due to dietary choices and allergies. - I requested to have my money refunded just for those 3 items and it was declined without reason. - I then spent almost an hour talking to customer services, I spoke to 5 people in total. (Including 2 managers). - Whilst my food was getting cold. - I had thought it would be a quick and easy thing to sort out. -None of the Deliveroo customer services ‘team’ would agree to refund me for the items I had paid for and had not received?! - They wouldn’t or couldn’t even say why. I was completely baffled by this. - The first manager i spoke to was quite rude. I just wanted to know why they wouldn’t refund the items I had not received and he just kept saying tough luck essentially. I asked to be transferred and he said: “no, I’m the best you’re gonna get”. - How on Earth can a company run its customer services like this? Why would i now ever order through Deliveroo again? There’s no trust that you can get refunded if your food (that you’ve paid for) doesn’t arrive. - Imagine if amazon or eBay did this? I actually feel amazed at how at this company treats regular hitherto loyal customers. This meant that I didn’t receive three i teams I’d paid for. My meal went cold and hard due to the time I spent fruitlessly with customer ‘services’. The family meal was ruined. I felt incredibly frustrated and disappointed. Why was treated so badly, for what reason? Why shouldn’t a customer be refunded if they pay for things that they don’t receive? I’ve also emailed them and again they’ve refused without explanation. I’ve sent pictures and contacted WHICH magazine. Deliveroo don’t care. Much better to order directly.

I called. I received the order 2 hours later obliging to me to get out. So I cancelled the order in Southampton and they did not refund the money. I don't recommend deliveroo at all. It is worse and worse...

Had to wait for driver to do another drop on route. Food arrived cold. Customer service did not care, think it should be replaced and offered compensation of £1.99 for my £20 order. Honestly shocking customer service.

Beware, If driver doesn’t deliver your order you won’t get any compensation for that. Last time I order with them. A company that is no longer in any country where it has serious competition as it offers no quality service to its customers. Sad that people actually have to put up with this in the UK because “best” alternative is Uber eats. Well I’d rather cook or starve.
