What a shame. I have shopped with this company for several years and always had great service. The products were good quality and arrived promptly. Obviously the pandemic has cost them dearly.

I have shopped with House of Bath online for years and never had any problems. I am shocked by the reviews below and it appears that something has gone sadly wrong. The pandemic has caused many businesses to close and I suspect this would have added to the problems.

This company is a Joke. My Mum was a regular customer for years. For some reason they stopped sending her a catalogue. I have rung House of Bath about 8 times and even went onto the website to request a catalogue all to no Avail. They just fob you off. Avoid😠

Cannot believe how bad this company has become in the past 12 months. My aunt orders regularly and wanted a duvet cover, fitted sheet and pillowcases. Only duvet delivered as others out of stock and rest was substituted with two dresses !!! As for getting a refund, that is another challenge.

Latest catalogue advertises 'No fix shower caddy'. This item does not exist. Online it is not recognised. Item No. not recognised. This company is a con.

I echo the complaints made by other customers about House of Bath mail order retailer. It is not about one particular item but with the false promise of a discount at checkout. My previous complaint was resolved, but I find the same problem again with the new catalogue 3693PC received by post. For example the curtains with reference number DG778PC are changed to DG778JM online, so that the discount valid until 19/07/2020 does not work when you get to the checkout. The catalogue gives all payment options, not just by telephone or post, but also the website. The curtains in question are advertised with the full price online at https://www.houseofbath.co.uk/shop/willow-lined-embroidered-voiles/dg778/product/details/show.action?pdBoUid=2118 Similar complaints have already been made by many other customers at https://www.reviews.io/company-reviews/store/house-of-bath So it is obviously company policy to deceive customers.

This company appears to offer great discounts and free postage etc. What they don't tell you, despite what their promotional material says, a lot of the offers are only available by ordering over the phone. I tried to order online, but the system wouldn't give me the price printed in the catalogue and the "free" postage code wouldn't work. Beware the order line is an 0871 number. If like me you order via a mobile the call yesterday of 13 minutes cost as much as the discount on the merchandise. That's because when I complained about r the non functioning website, I was put on hold...at my cost. We won't be using this company again.

House of Bath is now a waste of time to order Have none o f the colours for the nighties that are advertised .Only colours never heard off .Waste of phone call and time .Will never ring to order any thing else .Please do not send me a catalogue again .

Absolutely disgusting appallingly company. Waited in all day today for delivery of my chair only to have to contact them just before 5pm to then be told the product had been recalled and won't be coming. No telephone call, email or anything to advise me that it would not be coming. No refund yet had to pay instantly. If refund not received within 3 days I will be reporting the company to trading standards. VERY VERY BAD CUSTOMER CONDUCT CODE. Company needs closing down, after my experience and seeing other reviews on here. Disgrace.

Ordered 2 chair covers which were illustrated in catalogue and online with matching armrest covers. They arrived minus armrest covers so Wife tried to phone Enquiry Line, on line 20 mins @ 13p but nobody answered phone. I Complained via Resolver and received reply that arm covers were no longer available but no adjustment to price to reflect this. Tried to phone Enquiry Line to request reduction or a discounted seat cover so Wife could make own arm covers but after 1 HOUR on phone gave up in disgust. This is a dis-ingenious company, if you can't trust catalogue and online adverts then why buy from them ? .

I had to claim money back due to the item being unavailable. I had a very different experience than some as my query was dealt with quickly and efficiently and the cheque was in the post a couple of days later. Perhaps I was just lucky. Eve

I ordered 2 trellis planters total £98 pounds. order accepted and confirmed. I have received notification that goods could not be delivered as i was out .Well thats not true I am confined to house for 12 weeks due this virus. So I is simple no goods refund £98 soonest. Will never order or advise anyone else to use houseofbath, mbrown

After contacting House of Bath twice,still no refund cheque.Also, the supposedly sold out items (sale)are back in at full price. On a lighter note, it seems no men inhabit their world as only women advertise cleaning,house work and everything else in their catalogues!

My wife’s parents ordered a foot stool which wasn’t suitable. They wanted to return it but the return label is printed very cheaply and as it was put on the box, the bar code smudged. The carrier who called to collect it refused to take it as he couldn’t scan the bar code. My wife phoned to request some new labels but was repeatedly told that they couldn’t speak to her as she hadn’t ordered it. My wife explained that her parents were in their 90s and couldn’t cope with the stress of calling. They also refused to give her a returns address so that she could just post it back again saying that they could only speak to who ordered it. All of this is on a chargeable call line. The level of customer service is unacceptable and I couldn’t recommend House of Bath to anyone.

If I dont use Facebook or Instagram does that mean I can’t leave a review?? How about an account number would that not do it? you haven’t been the same company since you joined JD Williams. I rest my case! In case you don’t publish this because I haven’t mentioned customer service I will now. it’s non-existent - it’s all downhill for the House of Bath, used to be quite good not so now!!

Usually really good but taken over by JD Williams—-Not good!! Cant contact them by email, by phone but only if pay 13p + a min and the lady today put me on hold whist She checked another system for my account number - says it all really, I was still on hold when I put the phone down!! My problem is their stock they can’t seem to control the stock - stock control is bad. You buy something you like it, you go to buy it again different colour maybe, you cant buy it, it’s gone need to get some idea of what customers want and have stock to cover requests. They're also a little bitty- you’ll find things there that you’ve never even thought of. Perhaps they can find a little bit of the old company that they were before JD took over. I tried to communicate with them via chat, email, phone and when all else failed this! their customer services reps (chat & phone) need to be a little nicer and to they need to stop acting so precociously. ps you can only have one way of trying to contact them otherwise it cancels out!! AS I SAID I TRIED ALL 3 !!

I wouldn't even give it one star but it is the only way I could get to write. Sent an order beginning of Nov. with a cheque for £28. A Month later I have received one item to the value of £11. I have written four times now and have not even received a comment let alone the refund cheque of £17.00 that I have asked for ASAP. Absolute chaos but they are making money......don't order from these people!

Sent for armcaps which arrived quickly but had ink stain on them. I returned them same day and asked for replacement. That was three weeks ago and I have heard nothing yet. Not too impressed
