Issue with incorrect delivery address which caused a delay in receiving my item. Customer service didn’t even apologise for the inconvenience which was due to their mistake, however did reply and gave an update. I have received my item successfully now but will be dubious about purchasing from Hogies again.

Hi Sorry to hear that you have not received your order yet. We can confirm that your order was dispatched from our warehouse on Monday 3rd April so we are liaising with Royal Mail. It looks like Royal Mail have not scanned your parcel which is why the tracking information is not updating. On delivery the tracking information will update to say that is has been delivered. Great website, finally found a product that is no longer being made so was delighted. Only problem is the customs charge I had to pay to get it delivered as I live in the EU making my product more expensive

Hi We have checked your order which was dispatched from our warehouse on Monday 20th March. The latest Royal Mail tracking message says: 'Your item is now leaving the UK. More information will be available when it arrives in the destination country.' This means that it is on it's way to you. We hope it arrives soon. I paid for next day delivery but the parcel didn't come on time (before 1pm). It was a gift and I wasn't able to deliver it on time to the recipient as a result.

Hello Thank you for your email. We are really sorry to hear that you have still not received your order. We do understand your frustration and apologise for the inconvenience caused. We have checked your tracking information nd can see that your parcel is with cuustoms and is being assesssed by them. We have been advised by Royal Mail to let our customers know that this is the most up to date information they have: 'Due to the number of Royal Mail strikes, the increased Christmas volumes and the latest Royal Mail IT Cyber incident, we are now dealing with a huge backlog of parcels that have been collected but not yet processed for international export. This is why many of the parcels our customers sent in November, December and January show as not delivered and, in most cases, will only show the tracking as “sender preparing item”. For updates on the latest IT incident, please click here : www.royalmail.com/serviceupdate.' They have apologised again for the disruption this incident is causing us and you, our customers, and assured us that their teams are continuing to work around the clock to resolve this situation, although they are not able to give us a date at this time as to when this issue will be fully resolved. They have confirmed that all the parcels we dispatched from our warehouse are in the Royal Mail network and awaiting dispatch and advised that these orders will show “Outward RDC Handheld Acceptance” or” Accepted at Outward Mail Centre”. As soon as the international processing resumes to normal, the orders will go through their pipeline and be dispatched to the destination country. Our customer service team are dealing with an unusually high volume of calls and emails as customers are, understandably, very frustrated with this ongoing situation. Purchase was quick and handled well though I did ask a few questions via email and it took a few days to answer whilst I had already gone ahead with the purchase.. Had I received the answer earlier it would have helped better for me to make a better choice. My last question was left unanswered. Which would have helped me had I wanted to purchase again.

I ordered estee lauder eye complex serum. The box arrived a bit damaged which I didn't mind but the product inside was not the same as I have bought locally before - maybe it was a product made in or distributed somewhere other than UK??? I'm not sure if I would purchase from Hogies again if it is not distributing products that are identical to what I can buy in our local UK stores.

Good products but trouble with packaging. One of My products arrived with a broken dispenser. The cardboard on the box just couldn’t hold up in shipping.

So I have a slight difficulty rating. From personal experience, it was great- efficient, fast delivery (chocolates are a nice touch) BUT other customers should be cautious if ordering cosmetics or beauty products that they can't obtain elsewhere as it is out of stock, it might be expired. I was aware of that and willing to take that risk (ordering eyeshadow palette from limited edition 2016), however, others might not, Hogies should accept some responsibility for checking production/ expiry dates and putting a disclaimer.
